12th - Bercy - Gare de Lyon hotels & places to stay

This is a smart hotel. Especially for a short stay, it is recommended. Staff is good. Thanks to Rabbani for guidance to Paris, Location is excellent, on a few minutes walk from Metro. A good express store is on the door. Bercy Village is a walk as well. A great place for food shopping as well. You can have all kind of cuisine in Bercy. Only one stop away from Gare De Lyon

The hotel location is very good ( just next to Gare de Lyon station),close to train station, you can transfer to other country or other city in France .and also close to metro ,very convenience hotel for both business and holiday.The hotel provide lauggage storage when you check in before noon,helpful reception,clean and comfort,good value to price,other is very good is the hotel provide 1 bottle of Evian water for guest in the room

I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Paris. The staff at the hotel front desk were always very friendly and helpful. They greatly exceeded staff of any other international hotels we have stayed in. The rooms were comfortable and clean with a tv, mini fridge, and free wifi. Rooms were cleaned every day. Could not ask for a better location for a hotel, safe and not crowded neighborhood. There were many great restaurants within less than a block or two as well as grocery stores. It is also very close to Gare de Lyon railway station making it easy to find your way back to. Easily my most pleasant stay at a hotel.

The hotel room is spacious, well decorated, clean and comfortable with free wifi and free minibar (water and softdrinks). There is no tourist attractons in the hotel vicinity except a lovely community mall whith various shops and resturants next to the hotel. A metro station is nearby. Generally, the hotel is at a good location, not far from the gare de lyon railway station, to move in-out Paris from this route.

The hotel I always stayed was full booked when I visited Paris in early May'18 hence I booked this hotel instead as my family need to travel thru Gare de Lyon a few times during our trip. At first I was doubtful of the switch but I am 100% convinced now. Their rate is very reasonable considering the distance to Gare de Lyon (10-15min walk), Bastille (3-min walk), Opera House (right opposite), Marche Bastille (One of the biggest open air market in Paris which open on Thursday and Sunday), Carrefour (1-min walk) and many more. If you have lot of luggage and/or travel with elderly, my advice is to take taxi @ 10-15 Euro to the hotel if you arrive at Gare de Lyon. Their breakfast is decent but their staff could be rude especially if you take away your breakfast from the restaurant. I would recommend this hotel to all especially those family with elderly and/or young children as this hotel have suite with two bathrooms (one with shower and the other one with shower and bathtub).

This hotel is very conveniently located within easy walking distance of gare de Lyon metro station- which means very quick access to pretty much all city sights. Although breakfast was not included, there are plenty of dining options within walling distance. The rooms were well sized with nice modern furniture. The bathroom was a bit dated, but clean and well appointed. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Overall this hotel is excellent value for money- would highly recommend.

The hotel is evidently old as you can see on the walls but that just adds character to your stay in Paris. The room I stayed in was quite clean and had a great view of the street facing Gare de Lyon. It can be a bit noisy even late at night but not bothersome, especially when the windows are shut during autumn and winter seasons. I loved that they had pocket WiFi for rent at a reasonable price of €5 per day, which was basically half what I would’ve paid if I turned on my data roaming. The location is excellent! The staff are helpful but I have to note that the male staff on duty at the front desk when I left in the evening was a bit rude albeit not in front of the guest. I heard him talking to someone on the phone (presumably a guest in one of the rooms) and he seemed agitated. When he hung up, I heard him mutter something like “Stupid!” I thought that wasn’t really professional and I wouldn’t have wanted to have been the person on the other end of the call. Otherwise, everything else was great and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends who’d be traveling to Paris via train.

Pros: Nice, clean, quiet and cosy room. Helpful staffs. Big thanks to the efficient staffs. Nice buffet for breakfast. They kept my luggage for free for the whole day even when i checked out early morning. When i returned in the afternoon they offered me a living room to relax and wait for my taxi. The hotel is found in a good location. I felt very safe even i stayed alone there. Cons: can find none except for the pancake that was rubbery.

I would not say this was a fantastic hotel. It is a very nice hotel, the room I had, number 44 had a very comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. But there was a very peculiar noise in the early morning and evening, I suspect something to do with the lift machinery or the heating system. The room was not overheated by a long way. It is noisy, but this is Paris. The location is convenient for the Gare du Lyon but not much else. Breakfast was mediocre, the same as most hotels of this kind in Paris. There is no bar, which for a single traveller is a big inconvenience, particularly if you are a woman. The lift is th smallest I have ever seen!!!! I would stay again, indeed I am staying again.

the hotel was easy to find, just within proximity from porte de vincennes metro station. we chose the hotel because we wanted to be near gare de lyon, just a few metro stops away. there is however not much around the area and is quite far from the main attractions. however, overall a pleasant stay. there was a really helpful man at the reception but we did not get his name. he was wonderful. we requested for a change of room as there was construction just outside the wondow for one of the rooms. free wifi

This hotel is a few minutes walk from Bercy metro station and 15 min. walk from gare de Lyon. There are a few nice cafes/restaurants around the hotel a lot more around gare de Lyon. The metro passes every 3 to 4 minutes or so and brings you straight to the most used sightseeing stops around the Seine. The hotel itself is not on a busy street, so no roadnoise, comfortable 4 star hotel and we really enjoyed the breakfast with lots of variety.

We stayed in a triple-room 3-on the ground floor, which was a double room with a bed added. It was hot and cramped with no fan or aircon.We slept with the windows open so noisy from street traffic and restaurant opposite. The fab thing about this hotel is the location and the price. It is 5min from the Gare de Lyon and was £50/night for a triple. The receptionist was friendly and efficient. I would stay here again for location and price.

I stayed here because it was close to Gare de Lyon, after a long flight the friendly service, pretty room and long bath complete with complimentary bath salts was fabulous. The bed was super comfortable, there wasn't an amazing view but the room was brightly lit with daylight and had doors you could open to the street side. Air conditioning was great, there's a safe in the cupboard, slippers and a robe - all the small luxuries you would expect at this price. From the sign outside, the agoda price is a huge saving, although its still an expensive option compared to some other cities I was glad I spent the money for my own comfort. Also there's no need to use the expensive bar fridge items - there's a Carrefour supermarket just a block away where I bought a 2 litre bottle of water for 65cents (the 500ml in the bar fridge would cost you €4!). Also great location - 5/10 minute walk to Gare de lyon easy to find, i had a huge bag and it was not too bad to drag down the one main street from the airport shuttle bus stop (another reason i chose it) and 5 minute walk to Bastille and the metro, it's a great area! I would certainly consider staying here again on a short stay after a long flight.

great location a few minutes walk from gare de lyon. thank heavens for the lift - tiny but working. our room was on a high floor with a little balcony overlooking rue de lyon. there was quite a bit of noise at nights and we needed to close the window & door. this was mostly from sirens (police or ambulance????) on vehicles traveling down the nearby avenue ledru rolin. room was basic but had everything we needed (no fridge unfortunately). our twin beds were okay and the bathroom was good enough but nothing special. the photos on the website must be of other, more upmarket rooms and bathrooms as ours could best be described as fairly basic. for the sake of convenience, we paid euros each for breakfast - somewhat overpriced, but an easy option. i'd stay here again for the location and if i was on a budget.

My stay i would say was just average, we didnt have room service everyday to do standard things such as change covers and empty bins, i had to tell them to do it on the 3rd day as they still havent at that point. Internet was the worse i've experienced in my life; as people who are coming for holiday you'll expect wifi at ur hotel especially if you're booked with one that says they provide excellent internet, i could connect for a few seconds and then after that i couldnt, i basically was not connected throughout my stay so i had no choice but to turn on my data roaming which costs me and extra £12 also at the end of our stay they said we must pay service tax etc etc, it was an unexpected bill.

about a 10 minute walk from opera bastille which has nearby cafe's open 24 hours. for those people that like to walk and explore, a walk to the eiffle tower can be done in 2.5 hours (11km) and includes passing by the lourve, notre dam, and too many to mention other amazing sites. there are many, many nearby shops, a short walk to gare de lyon train station and of course many, many, many restaurents. the rooms are small but clean, adequate for most people and come with free (limited) internet.

It is just walking distance from Gare de Lyon, hardly 200-300 meters, and right on the main road, close to restaurants, shops and various facilities. Very comfortable room and great view. Very neatly kept, easy check-in, friendly staff. We could get drinking water / hot water free of charge. Great for a short stay (or even a long one). Very safe area, and lively, with all conveniences near-by, including a supermarket right next doors. Wil surely come again!

Perhaps it was less expensive in Paris but compare with other hotels at other European cities, 2 stars Hotel Le Twelve was costly to me. I chose because it was not very far from city metro and Gare de Lyon (high speed train station). Pros a. 10-15 mins walking distant to city metro (Porte de Vicennes) b. Friendly staff c. I think it was located at residential district, it did not feel dangerous when walking back at night. d. Room facing internal courtyard was quiet. Cons a. No lift (elevator), I had to carry all my luggages up to a narrow staircase. Luckily my room was only at the first floor. b. Room was bit dusty. c. Shower cubicle was small and dark. d. No kettle, I had to ask staff to provide (free) hot drinking water every day. e. No air conditioning. Weather was cool during my stay, so was fine for me. e. Reception closed at every mid-night

I highly suggest Sweet hotel because of value for money. Their price is affordable and reasonable compared to other hotels in Paris. Their location is also great especially for people who is coming from Paris central bus station for people coming and going other parts of europe. They have a staff name Karen who is very helpful and lenient. She allowed me to stay in my room earlier than the check in time that helps me a lot because im coming from a long travel from munich germany that time. She dis not ask me for any additional fee. The room is clean and has a relaxing aura inside.

When we went to check in, the receptionist didn’t find our reservation. He said we didn’t book any room even when I showed him the pictures proof ( and payment). He said it was my problem and in a situation like this he wouldn’t have let us check in. But since it was midnight and I had 2 children he gave us a double room. After seeing the room I had to come back to the reception and I had to insist to get something else: we couldn’t fit the 4 of us in a tiny double bedroom. So after a while I managed to obtain an additional single room. So me and my family slept splint into 2 rooms. No apologies from the staff, they didn’t even bother to put some decent linens in the single bedroom. Everything was really horrible.

Stayed here because it was close to the Gare de Lyon. Its a clean/comortable/efficient Ibis hotel with a kind of pop art theme at the time of visit (not sure of the point of that but its ok I guess). Convenient for the Gare de Lyon and the metro subway but the area itself is a good half hour walk or more to La Marais and the more interesting parts of Paris. A few restaurants in the vicinity and Bercy Village a few km east of the hotel is worth a look in for an evening. But the area itself is not overly exciting. Room is compact and facilities standard but good.

I stayed at L'Interlude Hotel for 1 night in early December, and it was great value for the price I paid (~£50 for the night)! PROS: fantastic location - barely a minute away from the metro station, with plenty of shops & amenities nearby / very friendly staff, and the desk stays open 24h / clean & modern accommodation - the bathroom was very modern & clean, and the bed was incredibly comfy! / having a kettle in the room was a great addition! CONS: walls are a bit thin, so you may hear neighbours if they're noisy! I didn't find this to be too much of an issue, but it may bother light sleepers a little more. Etc.: One thing I did find a little odd was that room cards had to be returned to the front desk whenever leaving, and picked up again on your return. I haven't experienced this in hotels before, so it was a little surprising, but not necessarily a hassle, especially with the desk being open 24/7, though I was surprised that ID, or booking info wasn't checked for this.
