"The hotel location is in the middle of the shopping area with lots of designer shops e.g. Hermes, Chanel, Ferregamo, Prada etc. It also closes to Champs Elysees and Lourve. The staff are friendly. However, the hotel is quite old. The bedroom size is fine. The elevator is rather small. It fits for only 5 people at a time."

"Paris was the first stop of my trip. After staying for 3 nights we travelled to Munich. When we arrive Munich I realized I don’t have my pajamas that I wore in Paris. So I called up the lady at the counter and she refuse to take my message and told me to call back again since it’s late and no more housekeeping or lost and found was closed already. So I ask for lady incharge and email. The lady at the counter also refused to give her name which is weird after so many arguement and commotion she finally gave her name ... which I eventually forgot too now. Anyway, so I emailed the lady incharge of the lost and found and she emailed me back and said they didn’t find anything .... impossible I lost my pajamas in Munich so it was definitely at the warwick hotel where I last wore it and my first hotel I stayed in. Disappointed Poor customer service and staff not so honest I feel. In this particular case. It’s an expensive pajama..(Zimmerli) FYI "

"I can't say enough nice things about this hotel. When we checked into this hotel, we were traumatized after staying at a terrible hotel the night before. This was like walking into heaven. The location is incredible. You're close to everything, and there are dozens of world-class restaurants within two minutes walking distance. (Be sure to go to Cafe Sud! It was our best meal in Paris! Don't miss it!) The room was comfortable, clean, and beautiful. The bathroom was shockingly big by Parisian standards. We wouldn't wanted to leave our room, except that there was so much good food to eat nearby! We ate at the nearby bakery every morning, and it was fabulous. The concierge (an Italian man with glasses who spoke French fluently, obviously) was an incredible host to us, and gave us great recommendation on things to do, places to go, and where to eat. if you're unsure about where to stay in Paris, don't look any farther. Stay here! Next time we go to Paris, we'll definitely be back."

"the hotel was very nice. it was clean and neat and tidy. the hotel has a nice old school antique lift where the doors are manual. the downside to the lift was that it only able to hold a maximum of 3 people. our room was quite large. the air-con was not working though the hotel had central heating. the hotel was conveniently located. the closest metro station was about a 10 min walk. it was also about a 10 min walk to champ elysee. the hotel has free wifi and had a free open bar everyday from 1130am to 730pm. the open bar consisted of fruit juice, water, coffee and tea and some snacks. hotel staff were friendly and were english speakers. it was noisey on the saturday night but was told it was normal for a saturday night in paris."

"The hotel location is nearby Rome Metro Station. And it provide shuttle to Airport (for euro per person). For shopping its nearby Champs de elysee area (only 4 or 5 metro station away, you can go there in 10 min). The minus thing is, the Wifi signal strength was not good, too weak. For food, i didnt have chance to try, because i booked without breakfast. "

"i thoroughly enjoyed my stay at beauchamps hotel, paris. the front desk was helpful in arranging an early check-in for me after a 14 hour flight so that i can freshen up before my 12noon meeting & i was pleasantly surprised to discover the cup of caffe i had in the restaurant while waiting for the room was complimentary! also a delight to know that my luggage was sent up to the room even before i was informed that i could use it! it was also an extension of their good service for the concierge to walk me out of the hotel to ensure i got into the right cab they called for me. the room & decor was lovely & contemporary with good standard of hygiene & cleanliness (the towel rack was even heated so it was great to have a warm towel after shower especially in february!) & the bed was very comfortable! (if only there were more selections of english programmes on their cable tv - the only english shows were the news channels.) the proximity to both champs elysee (just 5-7 min walk) & to rue faubourg st honore (about 10 min walk) is great! lots of cafes & restaurants nearby too! only problem i faced was the noise from the clubbers across the street & irate motorists honking...not sure if the hotel could upgrade their windows to be more sound-proofed from external noise...then the rooms would be perfect for a 3-4 star hotel! beauchamps hotel is a definite choice for me if i should visit paris again! great price for the comfort, location & wonderful service!"

"I chose this hotel because of its location, it was within walking distance of the Champs Elysees and the Place de la Concorde. The reception staff could not have been more helpful, my boyfriend loves Indian food and the receptionist helped us to find a lovely restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. The room was always spotless clean."

More about 8th - Champs Elysees

The Champs-Elysées is an elegant avenue that stretches through the 8th arrondissement from the Arc de Triomphe to the Egyptian obelisk on Place de la Concorde: the largest square in Paris, with fantastic vistas in every direction. With its luxury shops, cinemas, cafés, and horse-chestnut trees, Champs-Elysées is one of the most prestigious shopping boulevards of Paris and one of the most famous streets in the world. The lower part is bordered by greenery, open-air markets such as Carré Marigny and by buildings such as the Théâtre Marigny and the Grand Palais.

The Élysée Palace – home to the President of the French Republic – is slightly to the north, and not on the avenue itself. The Champs-Élysées ends with the Arc de Triomphe, commissioned by a victorious Emperor Napoleon and recognized around the globe as a symbol of Parisian pomp and elegance. This upscale neighborhood is in fact quite diverse with a large number of affordable tea rooms, bakeries, bars, restaurants. Nightlife in the 8th is exceptional, and it is home to the world-famous Buddha Bar, among other establishments.

Accommodation options range from boutique hotels to some of the most prestigious and palatial hotels in Paris. U2, The Rolling Stones, and Madonna are regulars at The George V, while Jay-Z stays at the Plaza Athénée and Duke Ellington preferred the Hotel de la Trémoille. Hotels in the 8th arrondissement are close to the city centre, and many of Paris’ greatest attractions.
