Birthday In Paris”
I stayed here on my solo Birthday trip to Paris for the big 40! For the price and the location, the hotel was a bargain! Staff and facilities were spot on! The neighborhood can get rowdy but nothing I'm not used to as I live in NYC. Overall great stay!

Comfortable but noisy”
Newly fitted out hotel with comfortable bed and good bathroom. Convenient location in Paris but a busy street and wasn’t too comfortable sitting out on balcony. Noise from the street is tolerable but it’s the internal bathroom walls that are very thin and we could hear the room next door using the toilet, coughing etc. which was a bit disturbing, seems they didn’t add much soundproofing due to to size limitations (?) Staff are friendly and polite. Overal a comfortable stay but would probably consider a hotel closer to centre of actual Le Marais area.

Super small rooms, toilet is separate from the shower/sink which is a little awkward. For this price I feel like I could’ve gotten something better closer to main attractions. When I booked the room it stated that I would have a balcony in the description but there was no balcony.

This hotel is okey for one night. As this hotel is at a mainroad it is very loud. This district is a little suspicious as some random people are sitting here and there and watching you.

Well located clean and new”
The hotel is very well located within walking distance to the Siene river. The Strasbourg St. Denis metro station for lines 4, 8, and 9 is at the corner with easy transfer to other lines and RER at the Le Halles Chatelet station. There's a Monoprix right across the street and a few dining option including the healthy NAO salad next door and some late night dining options. The room itself is not very large, typical of any Paris hotel. However, everything looks new and super clean. I appreacite the cupboard with hangers and drawers and especialy the easy to use set your own code safe. The TV is Samsung which pairs seamlessly with my Samsung phone Allcast for Netflix. The Nuxe toiletries. large and fluffy towels, and disposable soft fluffy slippers gives it a sense of luxury despite the budget price. Most importantly, the staffs are caring and very nice. I would definitely recommend the Grand Marais and I'll come back for sure on my next trip to Paris.

It is a very lovely hotel, modern and clean whilst keeping the parisiene feel. The location is great, walking to the Marais, les Halles and the Seine. Next time I will definitely go back to this hotel.

Perfect Stay and helpful staff”
We stayed here for 2 nights mid March, refurbishment is complete almost, lobby is lovely and clean, on arrival Amir (i think was his name) was very helpful, sorting us open top bus tickets and was happy to do anything to help us enjoy our stay. We were upgraded to a executive room and although the room is small it is perfect and modern with flat screen, ipod dock, mini bar, wet room with amazing shower and bed was so comfy! We had the perfect weekend here and will defiantly be staying again next time we are in Paris! Tres Bien Merci!

Home away from home”
Pros: our room was clean. Its near the trains & bus stop. The front desk people were very helpful, it was our 1st time in Paris they taught how to get to tourists spots through train & bus to gare du nord(even without us booking any tour from them). In front were fast foods & grocery. Con: have to bring charger for france( 3 prong type?), they ran out of spare chargers when we came- but very minor thing compared to the staff’s service & warmth

Highly recommend this hotel. Our room was clean and had a beautiful bathroom with modern fixtures. Location is next to the subway and walkable to a lot of the top sights. We skipped breakfast at the hotel and walked around the corner to a cute spot called Le Plomb du Cantal Rive Droite. Breakfast was amazing - definitely try it! Overall it was a great trip!

Big minus is the noise, the hotel is overlooking a busy boulevard and a string of small Ethnic shops and bars. After lunch time young black guys in big packs were sitting near their shops and followed the passers by with their eyes. I had to find a different route back to avoid that street.The traffic never stopped all night and the guys were drinking and shouting until 5 in the morning. The interior is outdated but everything is clean, the staff were helpful, the proximity to the Louvre is 20 min walk

Great location. Service less than desired. We were checked into the wrong room, my partner being sick so he went ahead without me. Upon me arriving a few hours later, I noticed we were in the wrong room and let them know immediately. Proceeded to be told it was my partners fault for not checking the room, instead of it being their fault for not checking us into the right room? Was offered 10 euros for compensation or free breakfast. After much back and forth, and after saying there was nothing they could do as the cleaners had already left, we were finally offered the correct room. The place would’ve been ok, but after this experience left us frankly not too happy about our last night in Paris.
