Avignon hotels & accommodations

the room i stayed in had two rooms including bed room and living rooms with sofas and tables. each of them had very big windows which gave them lots of sunshine. furniture were pretty nice, including sofa in a nice design and really large-sized bed. bathroom was really large as well and looked very clean. i really liked the room. that really helped me to enjoy mys...

Spent three nights here in a triple room with my parents when we visited Avignon in late April 2018. The hotel is ideal for traveller with a little budget to spare for centralised location within 5 minutes walk from city centre. The hotel room is spacious, with separate bathroom (with bathtub) and toilet. Our room even have coffee machine and views from both sides of t...

We were very happy staying in Adagio Access Avignon because the staff is very informative, very helpful and the most friendly hotel staff that we have never meet in France. The studio is nice and clean, the kitchen facilities are simple but most of the utensils are available. The toilet is clean and spacious.

Located inside the walls of the ancient city. 2 minutes walk to restaurants. Very difficult to find if you are driving. Both Google Maps and the onboard GPS could not indicate the correct route, due to one way streets and blocked streets. If you are driving, stay on the road outside the walls, drive under the bridge (Pont d'Avignon) and then turn through the gateway at...

We like the room with shelves, all our things put on it can be seen and easily found, so nothing will be left behind. The room with some art display items - nice and unique. wrote an email to the hotel a few days before our arrival but no reply so contact the hotel to confirm our reservation, could not communicate well. Roughly understand that the booking is ok. Ever...

We discovered this hotel in July and came back with our daughter and parents and loved it again. The garden is quiet, cicadas make the environment specially tranquil, pool is clean, a bit chilly, but safe and nice or kids, rooms have all you need. We have not tried the food yet, but were told it is very good. Will definitely be back.

I really love the location of the hotel. Train station, Tourism Office and even the main attractions are just a few minutes walk away from this hotel. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. Helped me with my luggage upstairs and then assisted me on my other concerns and needs. The room is very clean and comfy. I love that there are complimentary drinks and co...

The staff at the reception are extremely supportive, they offered precise instruction for my travel plans, they gave precise information and suggestions for taking the buses and trains to travel around, and they are very nice. The location of the hotel is exactly beside the bus terminal and train station which is very convenient for travelers without cars. Rooms are ve...

This is a marvellous hotel - magical setting in lovely courtyard and shaded courtyard garden to eat in, minutes from train station and walking distance to all of Avignon sites, staff were especially friendly and helpful and roof top pool to cool off in - I thoroughly recommend it

What to say? From the assistant general manager that takes his beer in front of the guest with its cigarette to the night manager that smoke inside of public areas. The room is noisy, not well cleaned and the location is really on the road. I believe this choice remains only available when no other hotels are available.

After reading some of the reviews on here, I didn't know what to expect ! Finally, I spent a wonderful stay in Avignon. The hotel is close to all sights of interests that the city has to offer. The staff were very helpful to accommodate our needs (car park, breakfast requests, very good recommandations). The room and the bathroom were very clean. I really appreciate...

We loved staying with Alain when we visited Avignon. We were amazed that such a quiet, peaceful courtyard could be just steps away from the Palais. Our suite was welcoming, comfortable and beautiful. And Alain was a MOST gracious host—taking our bags and replacing them with refreshments when we arrived, providing a delicious breakfast in the courtyard, and arranging a ...

The hotel is far from the center of the city or sightseeing spots, but bus trassportation is available. Bus station is at near Carrefour close to the hotel. Note that the number of buses are limited and there is no bus in night time. This hotel is a kind of motel and useful for travelers with a car.

If you visit Avignon, it's worth every penny you paid. The staff is so helpful. They will tell you where to eat. Which resturants are for tourists. The information to visit the Avignon old town is so useful. One point need to be awared. The check in area is different from your living area. It's not easy to find it with the map posted on the entrance.

we arrived very late at the hotel and the couple received us who gave us a warm and smily faces feeling like just arriving at home. the hotel is located at the old down part and few minites to the bridge, very convinienct to other tourist points, resturants and shops. but the room we having is really small with a young kid like us, there is simply just enough for all o...

Location is good, about 500m apart from the Avignon Centre station. very easy to find as it is just opposite to the tourism office. the room is quite spacious, they gave us a triple-bed room though we have only booked a double-bed. the price did not include breakfast but anyway you may not want to eat in the hotel because the lounge is very small, only could contain 6-...

We paid for a room for two adults and two kids; when we arrived, the reservation was for just two adults and there were no longer any bigger rooms available. Fortunatly I had my email confirmation and the hotel was not completely sold out so the manager gave us a second room. But the front desk said that this was not the first time agoda had made a mistake. Lesson: com...

Avignon is a warren of old streets and a walker's delight. The Kyriad is so centrally located that it's impossible to lose the way to it. It's an easy 8 to 10-minute walk from the post office to the hotel. The street which terminates in Place de l'Horloge (Rue de la Republique) is chock full of patisseries, clothes stores, and small shops any browser would love. Pla...

A country hotel with atmosphere and flavour. Loved decor/feel in the dining rooms, inside and out. Swimming pool a saviour on the hot days, room comfortable, clean bathroom, owner was helpful. Good breakfasts. Negatives - a little too far from Avignon Centre if you have no transport, local bus and taxis not readily available - need to be booked ahead, staff spoke ver...

we could not use hot water, which means no shower at nights! we asked the old lady about it, but she said "it doesn't happen before, not my fault" to tell the truth, i just wanted to hear her apologies, that's all. but she had a lot of excuses and no apologies...it made us so bad. i'll never come back.

Staying at Cocooning is a unique experience of Avignon history (and art) in its own right. Extremely comfortable room, a superb fresh local breakfast, and situated in a quiet street in the heart of the old town minutes away from old streets, shops, and the palais. Michéle is a lovely and most knowledgeable host.
