"The Dana Point Marina Inn is in a great location, right on the waterfront. The pool and hot tub face the harbor and restaurants and shops are a short walk away. The room was clean and had been updated with new curtains and paint. The continental breakfast was good with bagels, cereal, muffins, waffles, fresh fruit, and yogurt. However, check-in did not go smoothly. We arrived at 3:30pm, but the room was not ready yet. When we returned at 4:30pm, a room was found for us, but when I opened the door with our key card, there was already someone inside. We returned back to the counter and another room was found for us, but this time the key card would not open the door. The reservation clerk made new cards and returned with us to the room to make sure it opened. The staff was friendly and tried to make things right, but there are obviously some problems with the computer system. Other customers seemed to be as frustrated with check-in as we were. "

"This hotel is located a block from Dana Point Harbor. It’s also surrounded by plenty of restaurants that you can walk to. The hotel itself is just ok. Each room has a jetted bathtub, which is a nice surprise. The sink drains super slow and the bed was the worst I’ve slept in in a long time(it sags in the middle, we kept rolling into each other during the night, Fred Mertz style)however, when I combine the location of the hotel with the price, you just overlook these inconveniences. Hopefully Best Western will remodel soon. "

"I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Not only was the location spectacular, but the hotel itself was so cute and had the most welcoming atmosphere! We would have breakfast in the 2nd floor balcony with the ocean right next to us. The staff was also very nice and greeted us with smiles through our 4 day stay. For breakfast they would make us waffles and offer us more food! The room itself was cozy and had everything we needed. There is also a nice jacuzzi and restaurants/bar within walking distance. I would definitely come back! "
