Traveling to South Korea? Find Gapyeong-gun hotels

This is first time I go to korea without any travel agent (and have little knowledge about korean language too), so I go to gapyeong to go to nami island, petite france, and morning calm garden, and we stay at ecran pension. This pension is really clean, their toilet is high quality too, they have balcony and we have really nice scenery from it. and one think that really amaze me, the owner really helpful, he gave us sugestion about how we can get to all place that we want to visit in gapyeong. The other think is he know that we will go to another city (far away from gapyeong) and he do research and give us the easiest way to go there, and take us to the bus station, and guide me to buy the ticket, and take care of us to make sure we go with the right bus. (and wow this is cheaper and easier than my initial plan) For value for money, location, cleanliness I think it is right to give 5 stars (maximum stars). But for staff I want give him 6 or even 7 stars. I will definitely stay in this pension everytime I go to gapyeong.

I stayed at Moonlight Blue Pension with my mum and sister, and the owner was SOOOOO nice to us. She drove us everywhere and even helped us book the Gapyeong Rail Bike because the site was in Korean. She also helped us with our rail ticket booking back to Seoul. She was so warm and friendly and is the best host - everything you read about her on the reviews is true! The property was so beautiful too. the views are great. my only regret is not staying longer. it was a great getaway from city life indeed. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I originally booked a 4-person bunk room but since there was no other person in the floor, I got upgraded to a single room without additional fee. My favorite part is there’s a heater! I was so happy to have a warm temperature despite outside being 5 degrees or less. It was easy also for taxis to go - you just mention Egg House and they’ll know. Only across Gapyeong terminal so I directly went to a city tour. A few minutes taxi from Gapyeong Station (about 3,000-4000 KRW) and Nami Island (4,000-5000 KRW). Laundry is free but no dryer. Breakfast - Bread, Jam, Coffee, Milk and Eggs. Owner was just a call away and I was able to leave my things after check out. Overall, I recommend people to stay here.

I stayed 'Florian Pension' a day. Before I made a reservation, I worried so much. Because i didn't a car. Fortunately, 'Florian Pension' serves 'Pick up Service', so I didn't need to worry anymore. And Gapyeong City also operates shuttle bus. If you have a same problem, you also don't need to worry. When I got the Gapyeong Sation, the owner of 'Florian Pension' came there to pick us. While we're moving to the pension, the owner recommended us many tour attractions and tips for enjoying our tour. When I arrived, I was amazed. It was beyond my expectation. The pension is located in front of river and it also has a cozy garden. I could see the river through the window of our room lying on the bed. At night, we had a BBQ party. The owner prepared everything kindly, so we only brought meat, beverage and some food. If you need more food, a little convenience store is located nearby. It might be 5 min by walk. You can buy additional items. But the price was a little expensive than the supermarkets located near the Gapyeong Station. So I recommend you to buy at there in advance. And I heard the supermarkets also serve 'Pick-up Service' if you buy at the supermarket. Even it was winter, we had a great time in warm place thanks to the owners. And if the fire is dim, you can ask them to add more fire. They're willing to add. I really want to visit 'Florian Pension' again. Especially in summer. There is a facility to enjoy summer leisure such as water-skiing, banna boats, and so on near the pension. Anyway, it was the best pension I've ever visited so far and I look forward to visiting there again. I recommend you.

The host is super-friendly! He offered to drop us off at Nami-Island on the day of departure. On the day of arrival, host kindly guided us how to use the shuttle service from a market next to Gapyung Terminal. The place was super quite, was perfect to spend a relax holiday. It was raining hard on the day we arrived but there was no problem using the BBQ. We could just spend all day chilling and walk around the lake. There is a small market nearby the pension. Place is very clean. Perfect place for any types of travelers, Friends, Couple, and Family. I will definitely visit this place again for my next holiday!

when we arrived they informed us they were overbooked. i was sad because seeing this hotel made us stay in the area for another night, but they were great and luckily someone's brother owned an igloo hotel and they escorted us to a new hotel and we didn't have to pay since we already made payment! so thank you so much! maybe we will get to stay in this place another day!

The location is good, close to nami island and gapyeong station. The host, jenny and her daughter were extremely helpful. Due to our lack of knowledge in korean and transport info, jenny and her daughter researched every piece of information for us, translated into English. What we needed to do was just to follow the "manual" they prepared. It was extremely helpful! They also helped us to order items for our bbq. We overordered, & had to waste alot of food though. It was a good experience!

I booked there 1day before. When i arrived there the manager said that my room already full so they're upgrade to another room. The new one is more beautiful and more comfort. I live there with my family (1 wife and 2 older daughter). I like lived there. I think it's the most excellent service even though they only can speak korean but i still love live there. When i want to go to nami, they drop us to there too with their own car (mercedenz benz) for free.

My family stayed at this pension for two nights over Christmas. We've stayed in plenty of pensions all around Korea and don't expect them to look as beautifully "staged" as they might look in the photos, but this place was beyond disappointing. What it is: a clean, tiny, reasonably priced one-room studio with absolutely no frills - not even the toothpaste and shampoo that most Korean pensions supply. The room had a one-burner stove, a dorm-sized fridge, a rice cooker, water kettle, cups and bowls for four, plenty of hot water and a little balcony with no furniture/grill. We were offered two towels for our family of four. We chose this pension over others in the area based on the photos for Nearby Cloud Pension, thinking that we would save a buck. Turns out that the photos were not even of the same property. On the day of our reservation, we were phoned by the proprietor who gave us a different address for our GPS to Nearby Cloud than what was listed. It is hard to get past the huge discrepancy between the photos/written description and where we actually stayed. We would never have booked a room there if the photos and description had accurately portrayed it. If it hadn't been a holiday weekend, we hadn't already been charged for the room and if we could communicate in Korean, we would have beat it out of there. Mold on the ceiling, not an extra square inch of space despite the large dimensions listed on the website, no chairs, no microwave. Spend the extra money and stay there instead. We sure wish we had.

The guesthouse is nearby chungpyeong station. Not much to do around the area but it is great for one or 2 nites stay. We catched a few subway/itx transfer to chungpyeong and reached there around 3pm. We went to the sides facing mountain at the station in order to find egg guesthse. Decided to go Nami island only for the day, after checked in we went to gapyeong station, it was 1 or 2 station(cant remember exactly) from chungpyeong and catched local bus instead the tour bus. Per way cost is 1,600 won. The next day, we went to petite france & garden of morning calm. We catched tour bus at a bus stop in front of chungpyeong station. The cost is 6000 won for unlimited ride. Or can just get the tour bus at gapyeong station. The Owner was very kind. She quickly prepare rice wrap in seaweeds for our breakfast after she knew we do not eat pork. Previously, we were given 2 packs of candy before we left to nami island
