"We stayed in the expensive cottage with a bay window overlooking the Russian River. Seals swam nearby. A view of the Pacific Ocean. Fireplace (gas) to take the chill off. If you want to make some great memories and to truly relax, this is the place! Ask for the Pelican cottage, but be ready to pay $270 per night."

"Well, the room was kind of small, with a small porch area out back. Our room did not face the ocean, but it had a beautiful view (I don't think there is a room with a bad view here). The bed was comfortable, had a nice large flat screen t.v. The whole building is rustic and the rooms are too. If you like rustic it is great, if not you won't care, there are too many other good things here to get hung up on the little stuff. We found the staff at the restaraunt, bar, checkin and throughout very helpful and friendly! We found a great deal using Agoda.com (about 1/2 price) I don't know how they can get you a room for that price, but we were very pleasantly surprised and the checkin process was a cinch! The view around the courtyard is beautiful and reminiscent of a tropical place like Hawaii. One thing to note...there are huge cliffs around the waters edge in the back and as much as the staff is kid friendly, I would be cautious about taking kids out here unless you are VERY attentive! Also around back is a grassy picnic area with bbq's and lots of places to park a blanket or if you prefer, you can go sit in one of the benches they have around the water's edge for you to sit and observe the divers and boats or just look out into the vast ocean! The rooms could be a little quieter, but all in all we had a great time and will go back again...as soon as possible! I just have to add this last comment as it is what stuck out in my mind...the service was excellent throughout the establishment and everyone was helpful and friendly...this is a truly great place to stay if you want to relax and have some fun!"
