Kasauli hotels & places to stay

Nice comfortable rooms. Very courteous staff. No way Resort. Bathroom fittings not well placed. Shower very near to wall so troublesome to use. Bit expensive to have paid lunch or dinner. Adequate parking facilities. All balconies south facing so lot of sunshine in rooms. Still lot of improvement required to call it a resort. Not even a small garden in premises. All concrete. No gym. No bar. Inspire of all ,I would like to stay again in this hotel if I come back to Kasauli

Pros: 1. Good location in terms of connectivity, just side of new Chandigarh Shimla Highway. 2. Well maintained, I booked suit, which have 2 bedrooms and sitting area , good for 4 person. 3. Good BF and food. 4. Kasauli is around 30 min away, but can be covered in a day trip. I preferred staying vat Kasauli for one day but it's individual choice and also availability as Kasauli has very limited choice. 5. Has a swimming pool but was not functioning. 6. Has a small gym. Nothing to do much but you can enjoy weather. 7. Rooms have cooling as well as heating system.

Perfect location if you are looking for something which is away from hustle and bustle. New property. Resort covered all around with Pine trees. Good and courteous staff. Do carry your essential like medicine , kids requirement etc as its located in a village with no shops/store. Drive/walk towards Kasauli hills is amazing. Main kasauli is 30 mins drive, 10 km from resort. Food is decent and need improvement. Owner Mohammad Zakir is very professional and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable.

Kasauli resort is a hotel that is on a hill top. We could not find the hotel in the first time bev=cause the direction board was quite small. however we maged to reach the hotel. The staff was very polite and hospitable. The rooms are clean and the view is just too beautiful.. clouds come in from your room door and you feel as if you are on a mountain. In the evening the staff plays a movie in the dining area..on a projector. It was great fun as e enjoyed a lot with our family! Thanks Kasauli resort!

pros of our stay at kasauli regency: 1. rooms very good and well maintained; clean bathrooms 2. rooftop restaurant very good for people who drink and smoke – live guitar played during dinner over the weekends 3. food is good – should order ala carte 4. courteous staff cons of stay at kasauli regency: 1. no balcony in room 2. no view from any room except family rooms 3. buffet was not good – both in terms of options as well as taste we may not go back to this hotel because the main purpose of visit to a hill station is to enjoy the good views of hills and valleys – which was defeated here. there is no view from any of the rooms (for family rooms it was better comparatively) and there is no balcony to sit back and enjoy the chilly weather!!!

Shivalik hotel is located on the outskirts of Kasauli. Beautiful location and amazing view from room. Definitely worth the value. Rooms were tidy and well maintained. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They made our stay quite pleasant.The only complaint we have is the delay in room service, at times we had to call thrice for food to be delivered. But once delivered, it was not disappointing. Other than this the hotel-experience has been FAB!

This place is very near from Dharampur train station. Taxi takes about 200 for one side pickup or drop from market to the Lodge(About 2km, after crossing a small jungle narrow path). After reaching at the property, our expectations and hopes were taken care of so well that I am more than happy to rate our stay a 5 Star. We received a very warm welcome, a very smooth check-in and amazingly friendly and helpful staff. 2 room unit Room that we booked was very spacious with a huge balcony(mountain view, not breathtaking view but nice) , a small garden, and front open space were outside of our big flat. Place was nicely setup with all the needful amenities (No private kitchen (anyways you won't need it here with their amazing catering), no TV in the common hall (Both rooms had TV, just in case if you expect it in the hall), and no hairdryer(I guess not a deal breaker for anyone :P) Coming to the food, we were given a good movable BBQ pit, all the marinated food as per our customization for our taste buds and just simply outstanding ever ready catering staff. Chef was available on request and we just loved each and every food item that we ordered, And yes, we all are food lovers. Food, wines, ambiance and weather made it all worth. After we were done, they refilled the pit with coal, and we enjoyed it until late night in cold weather around the fire. Then in the morning, on request, lot of bfast options were available, if your bfast is included. No complaints about the taste, quantity, quality and service again. If you are into all this stuff and not very particular about the location, I will highly recommend the place. Kasauli is less than half hour drive from here and local people, drivers and all are very accommodating and friendly.

The property is very good with nice location (for peace and tranquality). Food is also good and staff is decent. The standard what we expected from them being a ITC hotel was no where to be seen.The staff tried there best but due to huge rush on weekend they were unable to manage because they were atleast 10 people short. Food was good if you got an early serving because once the food was finished in buffet the second serving came very late and did not match the quality provided in 1st serving. Also one thing which was a miss is that they do not have any sort of activities which other hotels like this have in plenty. They only had a very average singing in the evening that too was not scheduled properly. Rooms are good spacious and clean I guess that was the saving grace. They really have to improve the quantity and quality of staff. Most of the staff looked like trainee level only.

Dont be enticed by inclusions. Honest review dont book it: 1. Property is 15 km inside from Dharampur and approach road is broken and one way. 2. The allocated room had used cups and used washrooms. After complaining I was made to wait for half hour rather than to give a fresh room which were available. Despite that bedsheets remain unchanged and had very bad smell 3. Inclusive of all meals is a sham. Lunch spread is very limited and hotel intended to charge me for pre dinner snacks which were to be included. 3. Inclusive of spa? They would give you inappropriate time for spa reasoning that slots are booked. To me 12 noon time was fixed for the next day (post check out). Despite fixing an appointment I was denied the same at the last moment on the pretext that the service is not in my package. They are not even clear what is included what is not. 4. Final thing: Recpetionist Tanya is highly disrespectful. She sided with staff on this matter and threatened to shout back. Total waste.
