it is absolutely one of the most stunning hotels in queenstown. right on the lake with beautiful views. the breakfast is amazing, you can order freshly made coffee, tea and juice and any diy cooked breakfast included in the breakfast. the room has nice hot bath tub and fireplace, very cozy. water taxi is so cool costs return. the only disappointing thing is the receptionist during the day is not very helpful. the check-in is 3 o'clock, so if you arrive early, you will have to find somewhere to kill the time although there are a few bars and cafe. it is definitely the best spot in queenstown, right on the lake. overall, we love the stay at hilton

The Rees Hotel overlooks Lake Wakatipu and behind it the Remarkable Mountains. (That really is the name of the mountains, not my description of them). The hotel is quite new; our room was beautiful; and it had a fabulous view. The Rees was, by far, the best hotel in which we stayed on our 2.5-week trip to New Zealand. The hotel is about a five-minute drive from downtown Queenstown; but the hotel provides a shuttle bus service; there are also water taxis available; and downtown can also be reached by a lovely 40-minute walk along the lake. In one does not want to travel downtown to eat, the hotel has a gourmet restaurant with excellent food and a great wine list. Neither the hotel nor the restaurant are inexpensive, but my wife and I thought that both were a very good value for the money that we spent on them.

The Sherwood, Queenstown was our final destination of our driving holiday around the South Island and it was by far the nicest place we stayed. When we arrived, we were immediately impressed by the fact that the hotel had put considerable thought into the decor of the refurbishment which was a refreshing change compared to the other hotels we stayed in. The relaxing, 'earthy' vibe was present at reception and flowed on through to our room, where we were met with a trendy aztec style design and a room that promoted a sense of well-being. Furthermore, we were greeted with quiet, pleasant music sounding from a radio in the bedroom. The atmosphere was set! The welcome drink, fire pit and vegetable garden were also aspects that contributed to our overall experienc. The restaurant on site was on-trend in both style and cuisine. Thank you to the Sherwood for making our stay in Queenstown so memorable! We can't wait to come back :)

I can say that Villa del Lago is the best accommodation I had during my trip across New Zealand. The 2-bedrooms lake view villa was large, completed with living room, dining area, and kitchen as well. The unit is very nice and comfortable, the rooms are clean and spacious. And the view is simply stunning! We had an unobstructed view to the lake and mountains from our balconies. The staffs are very nice and attentive. Very recommended place to stay when visiting Queenstown.

this hotel is great. it has the best heater from all other hostels when i stayed at new zealand. i stayed in the four ensuite female dorm. the room is large and sufficient for four people. the shower and toilet is separated. there is a balcony where we can hang our laundries. there is a 24h groceries store near by. it so close to the lake and to anywhere else. the internet connection is affordable and fast. the receptionists are friendly and very helpful. there is also a tour advisor in case we get confused on where to go. however, it can be a little bit noisy. the guests chat aloud in the balcony. the kitchen is too crowded and i never got to have the free dinner since it was on first come first serve basis and the food was not sufficient for all of us.

Panama Apartments was awesome. The design and layout of this apartment is simply unique. The view out the large glass window of the Lake Wakatipu and the mountains were stunning. Everything you need in the kitchen is provided and if you want to, you can even bake in here. The apartment is about 10mins walk away from Queenstown Central. Recommended to walk as parking is not easy in town. Apartment is clean, looks new, fireplace was awesome, bathroom does not have a full-size tub but i does just find. There is even a computer and printer provided at the work area in the apartment for your to print out itineraries and stuffs. Whatever you need, you'll get it here. We got a 1-bedroom apartment which cost are $390/night. Might seem high for the budget traveller but if its your honeymoon and you want to splurge on a room, THIS IS IT. Worth every cent. And also not forgetting the staff. They were friendly and more than welcome to accommodate you to book activities in Queenstown. Highly recommended. Very impressed.

We booked Marina Apartment due to its relatively cheap rate (around 50%). Upon arrival, we found it was stunning & really out of our expectation. The unit was spacious & tastefully furnished. Everything was in good condition. This beautiful unit is just by lake side & we could see the pretty snowy mountains around. Shopping centre is just within a few minutes drive. Surely, we would highly recommend others to choose Marina Apartment when travelling to Queenstown.

our stay at peppers beacon hotel and queenstown were the highlights of our trip to new zealand, it was our first visit to new zealand and although we went during the rugby world cup to watch the rugby matches we were so glad we came to queenstown as well. as soon as we arrived we were immediately upgraded to an apartment with awesome views over the lake, it was breathtaking. the apartment was really luxurious we especially enjoyed the heated tiles in the bathroom.

We were so happy with our 6 day stay at The Glebe in January. We stayed in the studio room which was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had everything in our kitchen even a rice cooker! It was the best provisioned kitchenette we have ever stayed at. They provided you with an abundance of every amenity even down to the dish soap. The ladies who run this fabulous establishment do an amazing job at making their guests feel completely welcome and do whatever they can to action every request. It's been a long time since I have been at a hotel that always answered 'yes' to any reasonable request that you had. You are so close to everything in downtown Queenstown making it easy to grab food from the store or go out for dinner.

The location was exactly how I like - not right in the city centre (no noise, no crowd, no pollution), but very close it. By very close, I mean easily walkable. There's a short cut to reach the centre centre by foot - which is uphill (only about 100 meters or so - the rest of the way is quite flat) when you go back to the hotel but almost all of New Zealand has big ups and downs. It wasn't a problem for me although I had a bad knee scrape at that time. The room itself was quite spacious and the kitchen was adequately equipped. The staff were very responsive and professional. The room was serviced everyday (basic cleaning and replacing towels etc,) - I was surprised that they even did the dishes when I left in a rush left a few dishes in the sink. Like many other hotels in NZ, this is also easily reachable by Super Shuttle from the airport ($20). Overall, I had no complaints and had a very pleasant stay. I think it's very good value for money. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Firstly the units are very conveniently located within walking distance of the main town and Gondola . The units are quite small and very close together .Unfortunately it was unusually hot while we were there and the units are like little ovens..There is no air con ,which is common in New Zealand .The office did however rent out fans which was a lifesaver .You get 1GB of free wifi between 4people and then you have to purchase it which is OK as you will most likely be out all day (and night ) anyway . The other problem was lack of parking as there's seems to be more units than parking spots .We came home to find that all the parking spots nearest our unit had traffic cones blocking them off and absolutely no vacant parking spots within the complex .We stopped an employee to ask where we could park and she moved the traffic cones . Despite that I would still stay there again if I was on a budget as it was still good value for money in expensive Queenstown .

The hotel was the perfect place for us to unwind after our activities in Queenstown. We stayed in the hotel for 3 days and the staff (reception was Adriana) was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The room was luxurious (as promised in the photos) and had a large tub for us to soak and unwind. There are comfortable seats by the TV and free DVDs should you require them. The hotel is just a short walk away from the city centre (3 mins walk through Queenstown Garden) and 20mins drive to Arrowtown. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Really great location to get up the mountains for skiing or go exploring to Arrowtown but also still close to central Queenstown. Only a 5 minute drive from the airport so convenient to get to once you arrive. Having the washing machine and dryer was really great and they provided the washing liquid too. Having the full kitchenette was also fantastic as it meant we could pop down to the supermarket two minutes up the road and then cook our own food to save some money. Beautiful clean room - as it should be for a very new hotel.

The heater in the room for cold days is not enough, need to ask for extra heater or electric blanket. We traveled I'm new Zealand from 5/17, I know most good quality accommodation can provide in the room(strong heater, air condition, or electric blanket). We are traveling with baby and our parents, we can't let our family have chance to get sick while sleeping. One of the managers at the reception first day ask us to tell them if we really feel code at the first night (so strange, we already use the heater more than three hours and we really feel cold in the room though she finally give us a extra heater after we use agoda message to complaint this) and when the manager leave our apartments complaint we are ridiculous(michelle). The second day my parents told me they feel very cold at night and my mom doesn't feel well, therefore we put the extra heater we got first day in my parents room. And ask extra heater or electric blanket for my parent's. The second day manager do help us quickly, but she mentioned in soda message our room is very hot (I put the extra heater in my parents room that's why when staff is coming the room is warm). I talked to other guests also stay in the apartments they feel warm in the room because the first day the apartment staff already provide electronic blanket. And manager Michelle not give us two extra heater first day because the other apartment need one. I don't believe most apartment room are warm enough with the weak heater, especially the days we stayed queenstown temperature went down quickly.

I've stayed at a bunch of hotels in Queenstown (what's not to love about the place) and have stopped here twice - it's slightly dated yes but consistently good for the money. The town sits in a bowl around Lake Wakatipu, so is surrounded by hills and stunning mountainous terrain. This hotel is set back from the main road into town, up quite a steep hill - that's fine, just take it steady. However, it's only 300m to the CBD (top of town mall) and 500m to the lake beach. You can't beat the combination of location and view, except from the 5* hotels on the front or the Esplanade. The rooms are quite spacious, have everything you need: a comfortable bed, good TV, chairs, tea/coffee selection, fridge/minibar (fairly priced), storage and good sized bathroom - I'll add that the shower in my room was one of the most powerful I've had anywhere (bliss)! Bonuses include a small balcony to sit and drink in the local wines and views; further enhanced from an upstairs unit. Would return again.

I really wanna go back again. The hotel staff are very nice. I extend my stay and they tried their best to offer same room for me which they drop a note to my room. tour desk, Mister is also very helpful. He contacts and booked tour program for me though it's just on same day to book n go. i saw many tourists who stayed in other hotels will come to take a photo of scenery front of Rydges hotel that means the hotel take a great view in queenstown. the distance from hotel to shopping area is just 3-5 mins walk. P.L.this hotel doesn't have bellboy service, i guess.... can't wait to go there again!!!

As our flight into Queenstown arrived early in the morning we transferred to this hotel expecting to just leave our bags and return later in the day. Upon arriving, the duty manager took it upon herself to liaise with housekeeping staff to have one of the two rooms we had booked ready for us within the hour. The duty manager took our mobile number and called us within the hour while we having breakfast to advise the room was ready and we could return and check in at our leisure. This allowed us to wander around Queenstown and get some breakfast and have a shower after a long flight then get on with our full day of activities. The service at this property was impeccable. The rooms are very well appointed with great views and very comfortable beds. A great experience.

The hostel is just at the center of Queenstown and very close to everything. Nice and comfy bed, but sometimes loud especially during the Winter Festival weekend. This is very good for young people who wants to party and who wants to meet other travelers. All the staff are approachable and very helpful. Gaston is be BEST!!! Overall, Highly recommended. Thank you Base i had a nice 9days stay. :)

The room is spacious and feels very new and clean. Staff was very friendly during the check-in and advising on the check-out routine, as we will require the keycard for the carpark before checking out. There is underground hotel car park available. I'm not sure if it is a 1-1 ratio of parking lots to the hotel rooms, as the car park was full. Location is good, as it is near shopping and marts, but is a good 10-15mins drive to Queenstown central where all the actions are. A good middle-ground between Queenstown (actions) and Gibbston Valley (Wineries)

We had a late check in, but the staff came to help us eventhough the office time has over. Our room was upgraded to the apartment next to the prime motel. It is located just across the lake wakatipu. Only 5 minutes light walk to the main attraction center & queenstown mall. Near to some restaurant & cafe. We were staying at the apartment with amazing view of lake wakatipu and spacious room. It was also well equipped kitchen inside. From the balcony we were having breakfast while enjoying the scenery of lake wakatipu. We do really love the atmosphere. After checked out time is over and we were confused about car parking, the lady in the reception desk offered us to park our car at this motel area. So we can enjoying queenstown with hassel free. Thank you queenstown lakeview motel. We definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kawarau. We stayed for 4 nights and specifically looked for a hotel with a small kitchen in order to save money on breakfast and some meals. Booking through Agoda, the hotel room ended up being one of the cheapest rooms we stayed at while in New Zealand. The location isn't ideal for walking, but we rented a car and so it was more than easy to drive to Queenstown (about 10 minutes). There is also a shuttle/bus service that comes to the hotel and it costs $8NZD round trip person from the center of Queenstown and back. Because the hotel is right on the water (a bonus of having a gorgeous view), there is also a boat shuttle that departs to/from the hotel for $12NZD round trip per person. So getting to and from Queenstown is definitely not an issue. The hotel also has a variety of great restaurants, two of which we ate dinner at while we were there and really enjoyed. The hotel also has a booking agency in the lobby and we were able to book some excursions. All of the staff were very friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and very spacious and the parking garage was free and also had space available. We were very impressed by everything the Hilton had to offer here.

My 7th visit to Queenstown and the best accommodation I have had there, at a fraction of the price I've paid elsewhere. The location was superb, the room was great and very well appointed and very quiet, and I got upgraded. The staff felt like friends after a very short time. The continental breakfast was a great free inclusion and the free, very fast unlimited wifi was the best I have come across. I would definitely stay there again and I had a fantastic 7 nights - thanks to Cis, Caroline and Suzy. Cheers, Graham.

From the moment I arrived at the Crowne Plaza I was welcomed and greeted by super friendly staff who would do anything to make your stay better. My room had a balcony with a lake view which was absolutely stunning, cold to go outside but for that view it was well worth it. Perfect if you wanted to get a few good photo snaps of Queenstown city (the higher the floor the better). The King sized bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on, and the warm fur throw at the end is great to wrap yourself up in. Location on Beach Street is great, just a quick walk down the road and your in the main part of town, but considering the size of Queenstown any hotel is going to be nearby the central part of town. Crowne Plaza's main draw would be the view of the lake. The staff are super helpful who helped me out from working out the free WiFi on my iPhone, bringing change to the laundry room when I didn't have the correct change to bringing up a knife to my room so I could enjoy some local fruit. I would highly recommend this hotel from the general tourist visiting Queenstown to the business traveler.

Our stay at the Oaks Shores Hotel in Queenstown was in a 1 Bedroom apartment. The apartment were spacious and well appointed with all the amenities anyone would need. The location was quiet and pleasant and each apartment has great views of the lake. Although there was a slight mix up with our confirmed booking, the front desk staff resolved the issue promptly and efficiently with a friendly and helpful attitude. They were always extremely courteous and helpful during our stay, including confirming tours we had already booked I can highly recommend this Hotel

Been coming to Queenstown for nearly a decade and this accommodation for what you get and location was easily the best value for money. Friendly, unintrusive staff.....came back to a clean apartment every day after being up on the slopes. The location is only a few minutes walk into town and really close to a supermarket. I will most definitely be staying here again. 5 out of 5!!!
