San Jose (CA) hotels & accommodations
There is a very loud club adjacent to the premises. Rooms not facing that side are limited and the noise is real!
We had tix for Levi Stadium and on the map, another hotel appeared closer, but was booked. I noticed the Hyatt site sd they had a 15 min walk, sounded reasonable. Once you’re there, it seems like a shorter walk. Once you’re there, the Stadium is “right there.” Don’t let maps deceive you. Also, we ate in the restaurant. A bit pricier than we planned to spend that ni...
Other colleagues on business travel for the same conference at Stanford paid hundreds of dollars more per night for nearby hotels. To get to Stanford (or downtown Palo Alto) it was an easy 10- to 20-minute Uber ride for around $20 up El Camino Real depending on traffic. My room with a queen bed, sofa, and desk was clean and well taken care of. The grounds were equal...
Only stayed one night but was very pleased with my choice of hotel. The young man (Matt ?) on the reception desk was very cheerful, pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was basic but good. Rooms were clean and very well appointed--even had a dishwasher! Old Town Campbell was fairly close and had a great choice of restaurants,
Did not order room with breakfast. First breakfast was bought at ground floor. Price for breakfast should have included coffe and juice, but instead this was extras that made this breakfast cost $10 over the same and much better breakfast bought at Hilton Santa Clara. The rest of the days I had breakfast outside the hotel. But the rooms, general service is good. Bar a...
The looks like a typical USA motel - rows of rooms, two stories, external staircases, and external parking for each unit. But rates include a good cooked breakfast, the courtyard has a fire pit (perfect to laze by in the evening) ad there is a spa pool large enough for 20 guests. Good location on the main street in Menlo Park, several nice places to eat within a short ...
We liked the location, the amenities, the breakfast, and the friendly front-desk person who was helpful even though we were a fairly late check-in. The room was fine in all but one respect: floor cleanliness. In one corner of the room, about 25 coins in various denominations (U.S.) had been dumped on the floor. As we approached the bed, we were dismayed to encounter a...
Never heard of this hotel chain, what a GEM! Clean room. Studio-like apartment with normal size refrigerator. Great wkend price! Most staff was pleasant & friendly. One night mgr was exceptional. Can't remember her nname, she has 2sons & 1 daughter the yougest. Had great conversation, talked about our families, & she gave me the scoop on the area. Nice lady! However, ...
DInah's Garden Hotel has the right combination: great location, large rooms, manageable menu (ie, limited choice but all well prepared), a restaurant located around the pool, efficient and friendly staff who 'go the extra mile' ... in sum, a first-rate combination.
Satisfied traveller The hotel is coming to the end of a massive refurbishment. We did not find this an inconvenience. Our room was immaculate and beautifully refurbished. The staff on reception are doing a brilliant job and we wish them well when they get to their new office.
The Juniper Hotel Cupertino A Curio Collection By Hilton is a lovely establishment, well designed, excellent food from room service, mini soda bar, and friend, great cable. However, when using the Agoda, the room did not come with free wi-fi. And when in the hotel room, the hotel sends a blocking signal that disables your cell phone to receive incoming calls, text mess...
Before wo go US this time, we been same name the hotel in Toronto Airport stay for one night. Because our flight in the early morning. Easy to compare two hotels. To say the true. Quality Inn & Suites Toronto airport is much better with more quality.
We stayed there for 3 nights and the place was reasonably clean and the rate was also reasonable. I liked the wireless in the room and good speed. The Breakfast was limited mostly to cold breakfast and toasts. They had eggs and sausages which were prepared ahead of time but no fresh and tasty as if it was made to order. Mostly was disappointed about the business cente...
Stayed 1 night. Arrived at 10pm. The staff on night shift til 6am was extremely rude and incompetent. 1) Pointed us the wrong location of our room, told us it was opposite bldg but actually we were at the same building but the other far end. Not fun when u have to lug 4 bags on stairs at night. 2) Wanted to bath in epsom salts but bath tub had no stopper, so called rec...
Good location and room, breakfast also better. But Check-in from 3pm sound bit late.
I was really disappointed with this hotel. When I arrived at hotel at around 6 pm, I noticed that large tool box was left inside the room and my room had not cleaned yet. I requested to change room and moved to another. But TV was out of order in the second room. The image was frequently disturbed. I called a technician, but that issue was not resolved. I had to cha...
Self-service hotel, except daily room make-up. Good location next to US 101 and downtown San Jose. The staff needs to be more friendly by saying more often "hi, hello, good evening etc...".
Hotel is near the airport and at my sister's residence in San Jose. It's also near the statue and church of Our Lady of Peace in Santa Clara. My family and I are devout Catholics
This was a surprising stay at the Comfort Inn. The room was nice, clean, convenient, spacious for the money, and affordable, had a pleasant but professional, helpful, understandable, intelligent staff, and was priced very reasonably considering the location. I was very pleasantly surprised at the staff's willingness to help even in small ways (extra supplies, condiment...
This is a relatively large motel complex in Paulo Alto set is attractive rambling grounds. There is a good deli and restaurant on site, and a smallish pool. Staff attention is minimal and the units need some up to date maintenance. Air conditioning units are extremely noisy and decor looks tired. better than average but not wonderful.
Nice stay for a week especially in South San Jose where you're conveniently located near many restaurants and plaza. Around the area, this is probably one of the better hotels to stay at...if you want to feel safe.
The hotel and room we comfortable and well equipped. The small gym was great for a quick workout each morning and the breakfast was fine. The only drawback was that the hotel is located a fair way out of town so you need a car to get around. Provided you have that then there's no reason not to stay here - it's a nice little hotel.
Quiet hotel. Great staff, nice parking, close to restaurants, shopping and work location.
Very good enviroment to stay. Check in was fast and I like the breakfast they served. Also, I can moved easily as the location of this hotel center located. I will stay at this hotel again if I visit Sunnyvale for my next business trip.
Very clean, spacious. Feels like home. Breakfast was great. You have everything. Refrigerator, microwave stove, dishwasher etc.... the only thing is the location. There’s nothing in the area like restaurants or stores otherwise it’s great
Clean, quiet, everything works, comfy bed, good pool, location incredibly convenient for accessing the whole area although you must have a car. The exterior doesn't looks so wonderful, but the rooms are just fine. Breakfast needs improvement, and we wished there was an electric kettle in the room for making tea.
Walking distance to restaurants. Nice touches in room like water bottles and cookies upon arriving. Simple but healthy breakfast choices and Starbucks coffee.
Highly recommend. Gorgeous bathroom, super comfy bed for a couple, nice, hip outdoor area, decent food and great cocktails. We were worried it might be noisy but it wasn't at all. If we're in the area again, we're definitely staying here.
This hotel is in a good location, but it was a little bit more pricey than I would have expected, but I suppose that’s Silicon Valley pricing at work. With that said, I would definitely stay here again for the right price and recommend to others. My room was spacious and well maintained.
the staff was very kind to explain many things, such as how to get the restaurant, call the cab, etc.
Cheap places to stay in San Jose (CA)
This is a very good place for business user. I would like to visit here again.

Had a good stay here. It's a basic, few-frills (the orange juice in the mini-fridge each day was a nice touch) motel on El Camino Real, just a few miles from Stanford and close to Palo Alto shopping and restaurants. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. The room was small but clean, and the bed was comfortable. Free wi-fi was nice. I also reall...
The motel was clean and nice for and obviously older facility. The room was nicely appointed and comfortable. The pool was nice except the poolside loungers and chairs could use some updating. The breakfast area was located by the pool making it a lovely morning setting but is was closed due to Covid restrictions.
I stayed in 6 different hotels during my weeklong drive from Portland to LA to Portland. Maple Tree Inn Hotel was by far the cleanest, friendliest and smelled the best too. America should reclaim its hotels from the enterprising foreigners who manned and presumably owned the rest of the hotels I stayed at. They were all dirty, smelled of curry, billed hidden charges, b...
i like the enviornment there, it doesn't smell strange as some cheap motel did. the only thing i not satisfied is its wifi signal. wifi is slow in my room.
I travel about three times per year to this area to visit family both in sunnyvale and San Francisco. I have tried other locations near here in this price range, and no one has the location or the breakfast like the County Inn. It is just comfortable and clean to me - the bed always smells freshly washed, and the layout works for me.
Good value, big room, very supportive staffs, fantastic proximity to light rail and 7/11. Safety? That place can never be unsafe as it is with other motels costing you more than double.

Suggest that you could provide free WiFi (w/o speed limit) to customer, since the cellphone signal (AT&T, T-Mobile) was not good in that area. Business customers rely on this function so much, hope you could consider about it.
Flowers everywhere. Very nice clean inside and outside. We were lucky to have this wonderful and cheap price in an expensive San Jose area. Recommend for all.
the bed was the most uncomfortable bed i have ever slept in any hotel and the rooms where so small not a good experience
Quite and comfortable place to stay while in area for business. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
They have a restaurant, which makes it much more lively than other hotels/ motels around. They also put up some free food in the afternoon (pizza, etc). Not sure if that is an everyday thing.
Upon checking in, one of the people who greeted mentioned to me the key objective of at least this location's Extended Stay America (ESA). "We want a ten," he said proudly. On the chest of drawers in my room was a note that echoed, "If we don't earn a rating of ten, then we failed." It's harsh. According to this scale, they failed. This place is not a ten. However, E...

The hotel was in good location just a few minutes walk to the train station. Rooms are big, staff were accomodating, facilities wise they have a small gym near the reception but bit dissappointed that it was broken and I have already mentioned it to the staff but they didnt fix it at least at the time when I was checked in there.
Location is great if you are a business traveller to the silicon valley. Just a 15 - 20mins drive away from the silicon valley. Very convenient. The only thing is one can't expect much on the breakfast. Needs more variety although I know this is supposedly a no frills hotel.
Nice hotel for visitors to the bay area, clean room with amenities replenish daily. Near to highway 101, 280 and 85, however the noise are minimum. There are markets and restaurants (diners and fastfood) within walking distance. The hotel provides breakfast too, pastries and coffee, quick bites. Hotel comes with free wifi. Staff are helpful with any question you may ...
At around midnight other guest were heard too loud & maybe having a party til 4am. Did not appreciate this as I was about to get rest for a long travel day the next day.Ended up with no sleep at all. This was my second time to stay here, but after today I will be looking somewhere else.
One of our friends is getting married and the location was perfect. We went wine tasting all day and then came back, had dinner, danced at the bar and then were able to walk to our room. It was great. Whether at the hotel or the restaurant/bar we had awesome service!
located just a couple of blocks south of page mill rd., this hotel is in a good, central location. the reception was friendly. i didn't try the continental breakfast because it looked pretty basic. the room is clean. the only thing i could find wrong was that the floor creaked a bit in a couple of places, but that wasn't a big problem. wifi worked well most of the time...

We stayed here for one night during our road trip & we were pleasantly surprised. We wasn’t expecting much for the price/location, but the hotel was so lovely & has everything you need. Pool & facilities were great and breakfast was good. Really enjoyed our stay here & would definitely recommend!

The weekend rate was super, weekday is not. Very enjoy the bar and variety restaurant in close vicinity
Hot tub wasn't hot and fitness center was under construction. I know when they done with remodel it will be great and when I go back I will try it.

I only spent one night at this hotel after flying in from the East Coast. My only complaint would be the ridiculous charge for parking my car overnight. Call me crazy but I think at the prices the hotel charges they could probably offer complimentary parking. Otherwise I was very happy with the room size and condition. The included breakfast was better than most domest...

Its very clean. I like the Art Deco theme in the decor. The breakfast is ample and good. The staff at front desk and in breakfast room and the valet parkers are friendly.
very convenient location around by groceries, restaurants, shopping malls and Stanford Uni. Staff there are nice and respectful.
