"We always love staying at the Timbercove. Since we first started frequenting this resort in the 80's, it's been a primo choice on Lake Tahoe. The rooms are neatly updated with marine themed accents (perhaps the bathrooms and showers can use a touch up...), and the property is taken care of very well. There are unfortunately some unnecessary "art" wooden sculptures about that are half-burnt and generally just confusing. They are not needed, as the property and lake already speak for themselves. Also, there is some lighting around the property, stringed LED lights that are bright and blue, they are another eye sore on the property, but they don't get in the way and are easy to ignore. Another subtractor from the property is the "no food or drink" at the pool rule. It would be great if the staff from the great lobby restaurant bar came out to the pool serving food and drinks, it would just take the experience up a notch. Oh, another minus for the hotel was the blasting pop music on the beach with a DJ who didn't seem to grasp the traveller's experience. Instead of Rihanna and Justin Bieber echoing off the lake and reverborating in my ear drums, perhaps they can turn the music down 5-6 notches and switch out teeny pop music for something a bit more chilled out like Jack Johnson, hawaiian music, reggae, etc. This all being said the hotel is great, and worth the price of admission. There are some things though that can use some updating and optimizing. Would stay again."

"Right behind Harvey's, which is perfect for the concert we went to. A little outdated, but clean, friendly staff, and reasonable price. If you're not planning to be in a hotel much and just need an inexpensive place to sleep and clean up, this is a great spot. Free breakfast and they gave us a pass to a nice beach nearby for the next day. Would definitely stay there again!"

"We had a great stay at 3 peaks. Only a few minutes walk to the gondola which makes it the perfect place to stay if you plan on skiing/snowboarding. It is also a few minutes walk to lots of restaurants, Starbucks and a supermarket. The staff were all really friendly and check-in was a breeze. The room itself was very clean and spacious. Shower was always hot which is essential after a long day on the slopes. I highly recommend this hotel if you plan on staying in the middle of the action!"
