"Overall, Comfort Inn was a great place to stay while visiting Sequoia Park. The hotel sits right along the main road up to the park. It's also across a few restaurants where you can simply walk across the street. The host who checked us in was pleasant and friendly. There is always water and coffee available in the hotel lobby. The room rate does come with a complimentary breakfast. My only critique is the breakfast during my two day stay. The scrambled eggs were very watery and didn't appear to be 'scrambled'. Additionally, bacon and sausages were served on alternate days. If bacon was served on Fri, sausage would be served the next day."

"This place definitely needs updating. The carpeting could use a deep shampooing, but the room got the job done for one night after a day in Sequoia National Park. The highlight for our family was the Totem Mini-Mart next door. It was nice to be able to walk over for dinner. The food and service were fantastic. Great value."

"the western holiday lodge is a good value hotel although it has to be said it feels a little past its best. our room was large but a little scruffy, and with the awnings permanently down it felt very dark. our room overlooked the pretty river, although unfortunately a flood bank obscured most of the view. our room was large and with a fridge and tv we were perfectly happy although it was a little tatty round the edges. the hotel felt quite relaxed overall. breakfast was a little strange consisting largely of a waffle maker, bread and cakes from the local safeways - still at least it filled us up although eating in the small reception area felt a bit strange. three rivers itself is very nice, although the western holiday lodge is a couple of miles from the action. at least there is a passable mexican restaurant within walking distance. sequoia national park is about 15 miles drive away, but absolutely stunning and well worth the journey.
