"Best hotel we’ve ever stayed at in California (we’ve stayed at at quite a few priced both lower and higher than this) The owners clearly have put a lot of thought into everything from the overall architecture of the place to details like individual duvets. Friendly staff, great service, impeccably clean room. Very nice breakfast. Quiet air-conditioning and very good beds that are not too soft, nor too hard, as well as individual duvet covers, ensure that you wake up well rested. It all adds up to a unique atmosphere that feels very comfortable, relaxing and good for your soul. Does this mean there is no room for improvement? No. I have two suggestions : 1) fix the sliding door to the bathroom, so that it glides more easily and 2) change the lightbulbs in the lamps with shades, to some emitting warmer light, and of the same color temperature (Kelvins) as the spotlights. These are minor details and they do not change the fact that this hotel gets our best recommendations. "
