"Would like to be able tom talk directly with hotels, because you know what your getting and for how much!! dislike that when you think you are calling a hotel, you are sent to a third party booking agent which then adds on a fee and didn't realize you could add breakfast!!!!"

"When we arrived, it took somewhat a long time to check-in. The person at the front desk was very old so I understand that he would not be as fast as other younger staff members. When it was our turn to check-in, he took my id and plate no. of our car for registration. The room we had was on the ground level. We were awed that the room was bigger tha the other rooms we checked into before. When we started to settle into our room, we noticed that it was very dusty! We requested to be transferred into another room but the room we saw was dirty and another was a smoking room. So, we went back to our first room. The old man started to wipe the tv and the refrigerator with his handkerchief! He left after plugging the lights and telephone line since we complained it was not working. We didn't know it was unplugged. The free wifi and free breakfast and the location to Kings Canyon/Sequoia somewhat made up for the room we stayed in. "

"This motel is just the very basic of motels. It was clean inside. Microwave and fridge but no blow dryer. Had to give them your card if you needed to use there blow dryer, and bring it back when your done so someone else could use it. No shampoo or conditioner. WiFi not so good and staff not helpful. No where to unpack clothes, so had to stay in luggage. Okay place if you are just there for a night to sleep, but if your stay is longer not so great. There are others with everything they are lacking for the same price. "

"Great to see a historic court house repurposed! Like going back in time to the 30's with a touch of art deco added. As we waited for our table for dinner felt like Hercule Poirot would soon walk and join us. The old Southern Pacific railroad station (now a restaurant) is just a block away as are many other buildings that have survived destruction. Sequoia and Kings Canyon very close. Try the restaurant at the hotel, excellent and make reservations early because they are very busy."
