Croatia hotels & accommodations
This hotel has an amazing view and has every facility you will expect in a 5 Star hotel . Our room's AC was not working, so the manager upgraded the room to a Deluxe suite since it was Easter and there were no other rooms available to move to . The Cave bar is something new that you will never see anywhere in Croatia.
We were given a room in the annex - this was perfect. It was a large room with a very comfortable king size bed. The air conditioning was almost silent (never had that before), and all other features you'd expect of a five star hotel - an excellent room/bathroom design. The breakfast is among the best I've had in a hotel, with the unique feature of an "egg chef" pre...
This hotel is outstanding, the staff is unbelievable friendly. We had a great time and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Croatia. The only issue is that we were driving from Zurich and it takes a REALLY long time to get there...but you can't really blame the hotel for that.
If you like walking, this is ( in my opinion) perfectly situated. Overlooking the marina, a 15 minute walk ( or 5 minute bus ride, no 6 bus stops right outside the hotel ) into the lively coastal town of Lapad, a beautiful coastal walk to some amazing beach clubs and beaches, rewarding one with the most stunning views. Dubrovnik Old Town is a 40 minute walk away ( or n...
I booked this hotel on a ferry only an hour away from split because we didn't have one booked. and they luckily had one available. it was a bit hard to find but if you look up at the numbers you'll be able to find it easily. the staff was super professional and check out was even easier than getting this apartment. we had an 8 am bus to Krka waterfalls, so they told us...
Location cannot be better. Modern and well designed we felt that the hotel could easily be a five star place. Staff were exceptional, room was a great size with outstanding bathroom, quiet, everything experienced was exceptional.
we planned our trip to dubrovnik just a few days before departure. so i had only little time to choose the hotel. a friend had recommended a valamar hotel and i picked the less expensive one, lacroma. how pleasantly pleased was i! the hotel is well situated in a peaceful neihgbourhood, just a short bus ride from the old city. there was a beautiful sea view. the hotel h...
Close to the bus terminus(~2k). Lovely balcony with a view of hills and water. The hotel staff are polite and their English is fine. Breakfast is good. A bus outside the hotel takes you to the old city. A walk around the neighbourhood reveals some restaurants and various grocery stores. The room is lovely, large and the best blackout curtains. The beds are large and th...
The bed is too soft, which told me my back every morning. Bathroom doors do not close. Sometimes too crowded in the restaurant. Everything else ok.
Start to finish superb: greeted by Jelena and a glass of sparkling wine at reception. It’s my second visit to the Valamar President. Expect five star service and excellent amenities. I hope to return again soon. Multiple restaurants and bars, including beach side. Great atmosphere but plenty of space, even when the hotel is fully booked. Free indoor pool and spa a...
This hotel was undergoing renovations so we were given rooms in their sister hotel Plaza Marachi. This was as well a heritage hotel. The hotel set up was awesome. Still had some of the original walls. The rooms had charm and convenience. The receptionist came to help us with taking our luggage f rom the Varos to the hotel. She was loo very helpful in explaining the hi...
The place is very nice. Big rooms, bathroom is NOT comfortable ! You can not stand inside the bath, without banging your head in the sealing ! I do not know who is the genius that designed those rooms, but it would have made seance to put the toilet under that low roof, not the shower... No bath-mat on the floor, so people use the towers as bath-mat, which is very unfo...
We stayed in the Standard Double Room with Balcony – 102 on Plinarska Street 75 for three nights at the end of June and could not find fault at all. The location was perfect in a quiet residential street minutes from the centre. Despite its peaceful location you really felt like you were in the centre of everything - Paradox is a few minutes away, with Le Monde almost ...
The room is quite big, clean and modernly furnished. The location is quite good with a restaurant and several bars/coffee shops around. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful. The price was great. Zagreb's hotels were 90% full and those which were not charged above 100 euro/night! We got our room for 60! I recommend this hotel very strongly!
We really enjoyed our stay at Bracka Perla - especially outside the main season. Apartments are nice, location is great (close to beach and walking distance to Supetar) and the staff was friendly. And the outdoor Jacuzzi was great to relax after a tough day at the beach :-)
Visited Zagreb recently on our last leg of a 18 day Croatia holiday. ZigZag is less than a block away from the central square! Such a pristine location. The price was amazing for an apartment and the staff was super knowledgable and friendly in getting you settled and even hired a taxi for us to get to the airport on our departure. And the taxi showed up!
Prior to staying here my husband and I were staying in small hotel rooms so it was nice to change things up a bit and stay in a spacious room. Everything you could possibly want can be found at the resort. The pool was great. Room and bathroom were clean. Staff was helpful. Would definitelt recommend staying here.
had a big room, well equipped bathroom, very clean and comfortable. breakfast was good and staff very pleasant and obliging. 1 big plus - though up a little side street was almost at the bottom so not hundreds of steps to climb. quiet location since no traffic allowed in old town but could be different in peak season when old town is just wall to wall people. all major...
New and modern furnished structure, with great attention to details and customer services. We booked a room in the annexe (without elevator), which is accessible only externally from the hotel. Still an excellent choice, also at a price that was even slightly lower than the rooms in the main block. The room was beautiful, spacious and quiet and the bed very comfortable...
We loved this place ad the staff were very helpful and nice
Right in the literal heart of the old part of the city, maybe a three-minute walk to the Peristil, and less than 10 minutes to the ferries. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and we really loved being situated so that it was easy to enjoy the old quarter once most of the day trippers had left. Plus Marko was an absolute gem - met us at th airport right on time...
Great location within easy walking distance of everything. Karlo was an awesome host. He helped with our luggage, restaurant recommendations, tour options, general info. He booked a car park and helped us with our luggage as we departed. He also said that if we needed any help with anything during our stay in Croatia to contact him.
We stayed in 3 different hotels in Split as we couldnt book all nights in the same and this was the best! An amazing bed, great shower, luxury bedsheets, it is a brand new hotel! There is a great restaurant inside what makes our life easier on the rainy weather. We paid more to stay in other hotels with less quality, so definitly it is a great choice in Split!
The location of this hotel is great - close to the sightseeing places in Zagreb, you can find good supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Additionally, the hotel provides free parking space, which was unbelievable! As a small group, we booked a suite on the second floor which accommodates four people. We love this lovely suite and will stay again for future Zagreb visit...
I was staying at Prima Luce the night before leaving to go back home. I was greatly impressed by the room and it was a good location. However, at a little before midnight there was lots of pounding going on and then a high pitched constant noise. This, of course, kept me up and I was unable to sleep the whole night leading me to leave with a bad taste in my mouth and b...
Just returned from a brilliant week-long holiday in Croatia, of which we spent three nights in Split at Splendida Palace. From the moment of arrival, our expectations were exceeded even beyond the outstanding reviews we read prior to booking. The rooms are large, finishings are of very high quality, breakfast is great and we loved sitting by the pool in the Croatian su...
In six weeks of touring east EU this apartment was without doubt the best accommodation we experienced. Be aware that there is no lift so you will have to tackle the stairs. The apartment is spacious, beautifully furnished, well appointed and located close to many restaurants and points of interest. Highly recommended
Highly recommended brandnew seafront hotel in the Split neighbourhood. Large comfortable rooms with brilliant sea view and excellent value for money.
If you come from bus terminal, take tram 8. tram ticket 4kn. you can walk to all of main Sightseeing area. or take tram 6. 3mins walk to Bakery shop "Dubravica" which selling nice bread. Best location!
Cheap places to stay in Croatia
Pro : easy to walk to anyplace, they clean bathrooms many times a day. They provide kitchen and utensil but kitchen can be a bit smelly sometimes, there’s also a fridge. There’s a small and narrow locker with the key. Bed is quite comfy. Air conditioner works well in my room. The staff is very helpful, the old lady gave me a free map. Cons : The label of the hostel i...
Tia is the most adorable dog ever! She'll come a play with you, run up and down and yet I've never heard her bark.
The beds are very comfy and the rooms are big with huge lockers. Staff cleans many the times to keep the showers spotless. Good location between the old town and bus-station.. I would ho there again
Very close to everything and clean There are bars around so if you hate loud music, best not to book. For is its was perfect
It's a hostel, so don't expect a 5star hotel rooms, but it is really perfect if you just want a bed and shower for a cheap price in a super convenient location. I arrived late at night after the reception closed, but the staff communicated with me very well beforehand so that I had no trouble finding the key and checking in by myself. Also I left early the next morning...
The hostel was just a short walk from the main sightseeing and shopping areas of Zagreb. It was a little noisy at times, but you can always expect some noise when you're sleeping in a dormitory. The staff were always ready to answer questions and give advice about the best places to visit and the best restaurants and bars. The rooms weren't exactly luxurious but they w...
There is only one female bathroom for 12ppl not convenient
Good hostel close to the Bus station. But it is far from the d town (4-5 kms) and there is a bus stop in front that you can take. There is a bakery shop and a good coffee shop right below. It is in a nice area and right across water. The rooms were clean and so were the bathrooms. The front desk person was incredibly helpful. Very nice place. It worked out reall...
Location of hostel is easy walking distance between main bus station and old town. Hostel reception was kind enough to allow me to check in an hour later than stipulated time. Also gives you a big map showing and explaining to you the sights of Makarska. Super helpful. Hostel building itself is very big and has many common areas. Was put in a 6 man room. Towels, rel...
For the value, it's quite good. You're in the heart of old town so close to everything. Nice staff, very clean, though they could oil my squeaky bed~ in fact, replace the mattress as it was thin and not that comfortable. Were they to do this they would get a higher score. All said, it was a pleasant experience.
Probably one of the largest hostel I’ve stayed before. Hostel is about 800m uphill walk from old town which is not very convenient. The hostel itself has a huge common area and is beautifully decorated. Rooms are very spacious, air conditioning is perfect, lockers are big and towels are provided. There are also hangers which you can use. Beds are comfortable and yo...
Amazing hostel, clean, good location and friendly staff, very sociable and easy to meet people would highly recommend
Located just a three tram stations from Jelacic square you are actually in the city center.Place is very clean, comfortable with pleasent stuff and the price is more then reasonable.Highly recommended.
I really enjoyed my stay at Zadar Youth Hostel. The location suited me about 5km away from the busy part of town but still on the water. It was perfect for having a rest and relaxing. The outdoor courtyard with lounges and large umbrellas gave a real holiday feel and it was nice to sit outside in the sun to have breakfast. I'd definitely go there again. The breakfast i...
The Dots is perfect in every sense. Outstanding staff (truly brilliant), super comfy room, awesome shower, perfect location (5mins from the main square), and superb pricing. Also close to the bus station which was easy for me. Brilliantly managed place, easily the best hostel I have stayed at. Felt like home away from home.
I loved it! It was more than what I had expected. Adis at the reception was fantastic and the room was clean, silent and comfortable. All the decorations are rock related and very smart. The hostel is very well located, next to all the attractions to see in Pula. There are shops open until very late to buy what you need. And the free drink at their bar was the cherry o...
nice bed, chill air, clean room.
Nice reception after finally finding the place. Had directions but the roads were the reason for getting lost so many times. Locals tried to help but still had difficulties.
Not once but 2x did I have to deal with people having sexual in my room. Thankfully when I went down to the front desk at 5am due to couple #2 I got moved to the female dorm
We made our booking through an agency, there was confusion with this booking upon arrival which was upsetting but thanks to hostel staff and manager problem was quickly resolved. Upon arriving the hostel is cozy and warm, the staff were extremely friendly, welcomed with a smile, helping with luggage, offering coffee, friendly conversation. My children were extremely h...
The hostel looks beautiful on the outside but the rooms reminds one of soldiers accommodations, very basic, simple and not comfortable. It is highly overpriced. 1 night: high bunk sleeper for two person + bathroom: 51 € inc. all taxes + forced membership of hostel international. Nevertheless, the staff was very helpful and friendly.
This place is super clean and quiet. Right in the heart of Old Town, halfway between the bus station and city beach. Marijana is knowledgeable and friendly... Amazing hostess and guide to local attractions. The owners also run a tourist agency so they know about everything. The place is brand new and beautiful with bright colors. It will be even more amazing when the r...
The reception was friendly, they didn't have any locker to keep our stuffs before check-in, great location, near from city centre attractions, clean enough but didn't have enough toilet & bathroom, the place looks better in the photos than in the reality.
This hostel is located in the dead center of Split, literally steps from everything. The rooms are super cool with pod beds that offer privacy which I loved. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in!
small rooms
The host helped me with locating friend in the town and treated me with free coffees. Excellent stay
Great location, near in minimart, beach and bus stop which is easy for us to go in split city or even in airport. Good value of money , big room wide garden and there's a pool . Thanks to the owner very helpful . Appreciated a lot. Excellent!
This hostel is a very reasonable rate, thw location is only 10 minutes walk from the main bus station which makes it perfect for an early start to day trips. The tram stop is only a block away which brings you to the city Centre in ten minutes. The hostel itself is in a quiet neighborhood with a pub on the corner and market only a 5 minute walk away. just 10min wak to the seaside and old town. great stay
The best, hostel I stayed in during my trip. Very modern, clean, friendly staff and good location. Highly recommended 👍

Highly recommended brandnew seafront hotel in the Split neighbourhood. Large comfortable rooms with brilliant sea view and excellent value for money.
There were good pool, programme and big playground for children. Nice familyhotel, with friendly staff. Sadly most of the beach was rocky, and very few part was useable for the kids. The other negative thing was the parking; it took an hour to find a place, which was more500m from the entrance, was not an easy job with the baggauges! Everithing else was great!
Location was great in the centre of old town. But this was also a bad thing as it was so noisy. We could hear people on the street and cleaners dragging bins on the cobbled streets at 4 am. We did ask to change the room but apparently nothing could be done. We were on the first floor so I am not sure if the rooms further up would be less noisy. Don’t stay here if you l...
The hotel room decoration is simple but modern. Big size comparing to other city hotel. Hotel manager is very helpful. However, it is around 1-2 km away from the old town. Recommended to stay if you travel by car.
Great apartment. Marin and Roco very prompt and helpful fot apartment access, etc. excellent location on Riva. Provides hours of people and ocean-traffic watching. Windows offer excellent sound-proofing, important as people wander the Riva almost 24/7. Lovely balcony.. we were able to access the apartment by 10 am, which was very helpful as we had just finished a...
Really enjoyed my time there - we booked it last minute as well and were lucky to get a room! The staff were flawless, absolutely amazing, couldn't do enough for you. However a couple of things to note, the breakfast is rather limited in terms of a full English. On two occasions when I got some scrambled egg, I found two hairs in there, both of which were over three in...
Lovely room, very clean and beautiful decorated. Bathroom new and shiny. Easy to find. Quiet and peaceful place. Good wifi. Great selection of foods for breakfast, even for vegans. Traditional dinner was amazing, very tasty and fresh, especially lamb chopstick. Good selection of wine and rakia. Perfect location for visiting the Park.
Everything was new and clean. If you hate staying in an old mountain hut and want to stay away bugs and dirts, this place will be the best choice.
Absolutely fabulous stay. I stayed in the studio apartment on the ground floor. The standout was the host, Petar, who helped with luggage, provided recommendations, and took his time to ensure I was comfortable and met every need. I could contact him at any time and he responded quickly. The apartment was spacious, meticulously clean, comfortable, gorgeous and well lo...
Difficult to find the entrance to the apartment as the picture advertised is vastly different from the actual entrance especially at night! We had to turn several trips round the block to locate it. Parking was a real challenge (worst here compared to other popular spots in Croatia). Also, the apartment on the 4th floor with no lifts! The room is nice and equipped with...
Hotel is on great location. It is refurbished hotel worth of barely 3 stars. Rooms are small and lacking few amenities, terrace is nice but ruined. Hotel offers free wifi and this is fine but everything else is a bit old and should be upgraded.

this is the second time i have been to split for business. i heard of this wonderful hotel through others that had been there. was not disappointed by anything. i enjoy waking up and having a cup of coffee to greet the day. this is satisfied with the chairs out front, the wonderful breakfast buffet and friendly staff. i greeted each day with hearty good morning. ...
This hotel was perfect for our needs. It was a ways away from the center of town, but right by Hertz, which we had been using, and close to the bus station, which we also used. Sheraton is located in Mlini, which is in the middle between the airport (around 15 minutes by car) and the Old Town, also around a 15-minute drive. Stayed one night; hotel room was spacious and view of the sea was beautiful. Pools were very interesting linking indoors and outdoors together. Security was also very good in that they will only allow guests checking in to enter the premises.
it was alright it seems to be old but it is good hotel
We arrived at Kempinski Adriatic after traveling from Poland. Upon arrival Marko was there to greet us, and added his knowledge of Polish language to have a short, but genuine conversation. During our stay business was necessary, and the staff helped send a priority package to Poland for us. Any request we had, the staff was willing and able to help us as best as they ...
Great hotel, Splits oldest, excellent terrace for breakfast and dining, excellent service Rooms was nothing special - quite average
This place is SO nice!!! A charming old family house with huge rooms, a wonderfull pool, beautifull places to rest and Buffet style breakfasts. We would have stay an entire month!!
Nicely situated in an historic building - recently renovated and cleverly makes efficient use of the available space - friendly staff
The apartment was spacious, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Fitted with all the great amenities you may need: TV, dishwasher, kitchen supplies (including tea etc.). Many nice touches also left by the host to make our stay very lovely. Did not see the host, but communication was very prompt and clear. Be aware that this apartment is on the top floor and there are MAN...
I arrived at the Palace Hvar with high expectations, bowed I left feeling a little disappointed. Having expected wonderful things, I felt the room was little more than adequate. The hall ways and corridors are in desperate need of a updating as is the bathroom and with a hotel of that size I would expect some degree of air-conditioning. All that said, the bed was ver...
Very nice hotel, pool towel incl. sun bed incl., sun parasol incl. private beach incl. Park space incl. Very nice staff.
Beautiful location, trained, friendly staff, nice design, clean, comfortable room, superb breakfast, nice wellness area (a bit small and has no exit to open air). Very close to the centre of Rovinj
The hotel is great value for money, you get it all for $100 a night, super nice breakfast, gym, wi-fi. The only con is parking is payable by clients which shouldn't be the case.
President Solin is a lovely hotel and the staff can't do enough for you. Location wise it's about a 15 minute taxi ride from the Split old town so if you're looking to be more central it's probably not the hotel for you. If you want somewhere to relax though it's perfect. Solin itself is also very pretty and there is a lovely Pizzeria a short stroll away which is ve...
The staff and service were really fantastic and the hotel is well located. The grounds are lovely and the beach is only a few steps away. There is a small jacuzzi but no swimming pool. Unfortunately the beds were uncomfortable as they were two singles pushed together with separate single linen. The hotel is very old and our bathroom door couldn't close, but water press...
all was good except that Agoda charged me on my card and the hotel did not have any reservations with Agoda and they charged me again even though I told them that I have already paid.
Highly recommended for a family holiday. First line location with great sea views, nice pool. The apartments are very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The owners and staff are very helpful.
Walking distance from a bus Terminal as we got to Zagreb from Plitvice by a bus. The staff contacted me few days before to know my arrival time that made me comfortable without worry how I could meet him. Location is great, on foot to downdown. Apartment is very clean and well tidy up. Nothing to complain at all.
This is an apartment about 15 minutes walk to the old town area. There is no staff and no hotel facilities. The hotel which provides the billing is owned by the same family but is in Zagreb. The apartment is poorly renovated and at street level with limited security. There are no curtains, and, the street and neighbours can see into bathroom, bedroom and lounge. This i...
The apartment is quite antique, so if that's your thing, you'll love this. I personally prefer slightly more modern, but it's hard to complain when you get so much space for so little. My one complaint is that there was a weird scent in the bathroom, which I think is caused by the plumbing. This is a recurring issue in many apartments in old buildings in this part of t...
Wonderful location, so close to the old city and other major sites. Stunning views from the front deck was an added feature. The owners were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us when any issues arose. The only small issues was the lack of kitchen implements when we wanted to cater for ourselves at home. Not a major problem overall but if the accommod...
Sheraton is a famous chain hotel, we had a good time in Zagreb. However, the staffs at the breakfast room are quite rude and could not attend to out needs. Aircon in the room needs maintenance, we went in summer and it was not working properly
Very clean and big rooms, great hospitality and welcome basket with a personalised welcome letter. Super service!!
