Great place to stay. However do not stay on the rooms facing street... It is busy all through the night, and loud... And can be heard in the room... Sounds like a race track. After 2:30am you get quite rest. Get a room on the ' inside' of the building facing the pool. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The place is clean, comfortable, and Beautifully decorated. I would return and stay again, absolutely; in an ' inside' room.

The tale of trouble”
This place is dirty as soon as you put brand new socks on your feet out of the package and walk to across the room once you will find your socks turned black. The acs and humidity create a mold issue in most rooms but I think they use kills paint or something of the sort so at least they cover that up. They charge a 30 service fee yet provide zero service, no cleaning, or house keeping , they don't even put trash bags in the trash cans in the rooms. Some rooms might have the coffee pot and fridge/microwave but you won't get coffee or any other added items. If you're looking for a cheap place to just sleep somewhere then it's ok I guess although there are many other better nicer places available most days for around the same rate. For instance I get a 2 bedroom 2bath fully furnished duplex house that's pristine from we rent rentals companie for $65 a night plus $50 deposit. This is an actual two bedroom home they provide bottles of water a pleathura of hygiene supplies shampoo conditioner etc along with various things like pools, trampolines, plenty of bath towels and additional beach towels along with beach chairs and umbrellas among other things. All that compared to places like the fort Lauderdale grand that charge the same or more for instance I paid $120 plus a $100 security deposit to stay at grand and it was dirty and had a ventilation problem so the floors stayed wet at all times so I turned the ac off and the next day there was a pool of water on the floor and idk where it came from but the maids wouldn't provide a mop and also said they don't do service daily unless you pay and request it ahead which is fair since COVID most hotels practice this policy but if there's a problem with your room like the ac leaking water on the floor they should give you a mop or clean the sh*t up. So I put one of the two towels i got from them down to soak up the water on the nasty floor...remember the black socks I told you about earlier yeah the towel didn't fair well either and then the next day when that same house keeper came back she said I would have to pay for the towel because it was damaged and the floor had another pool of water on it that respawned overnight and again the next day. However most of the staff are good people just trying to make a living in a hyperinflated real estate market with the cost of living thru the roof so cut them some slack it's the hotels management and ownership that are the issues here. This hotel although old and needing remodeled is an asset in an office itself. It sits on a huge property for south Florida and has potential and remember the overinflated real estate maryi just told you about? Yeah most propertys doubled in value in the last Three years so if a place was worth $5 million it's now worth $10 million you get the idea and it required none of the usual standard like remodel or additions or property around in area getting nicer or developed. Literally offer less but property is worth more with no wage raises for service workers and the back bone of Floridas number one industry who are affected most by housing and cost of living doubling within a few years which is unheard of in the history of America since maybe the great depression which was probably not as bad as what's here now. Anyways if you want to lay your head in a halfway descent place then the fort Lauderdale grand is your place as long as you don't mind a little rifraf and your not a snooty person however if you can find a better place in your area on your dates then they are out there I find them often.

Nice place if you need to lay your head down to sleep”
The hotel is nice if you just need a place to sleep and nothing more. They fo charge extra fees on top of what you reserve the hotel for plus a $100 deposit that I'm still waiting to be returned. Their Google page says parking is free but it's not. It's not the cleanest of places, but it's decent. Be warned that my credit card was used the day after I checked out of there for some restaurant nearby for $60 (I didn't use my card in that area at all besides for them!!)

The Fort Lauderdale Grand Hotel charges $28.00 + tax = $31.64 hotel service fee per night, it is a mandatory fee, and it is non-refundable. The hotel service fee includes Fast Internet (WIFI), Pool, Direct TV / Cable / Streaming Service, Lobby Computer Center, Administrative Printing Service, Housekeeping Room Service, Overnight Security, and 24-hour Front Desk. Additionally, there is a hotel parking fee of $5.00 + tax = $5.65. Finally, is the $100 refundable security deposit in case of any damage to the room or the linen. It is refunded back to the credit or debit card that you used to make the payment of the room & tax at the end of the day when you check out prior an inspection of the housekeeping department. Depending strictly on your bank it could take 5 to 10 business or less to be effective in your account.

Over all our stay was ok. Staff wasn't super friendly but friendly enough. The room was NOT up to par... for starters NONE of the lights worked in the bathroom area which were all battery operated. All surfaces had a film on them u cld see. And the FLOOR..! GROSS! Super sticky! I ABSOLUTELY wld not walk on it bare foot. But over all appearance was ok. The bed was actually nicely made & comfortable tho.

I don't know where to begin. Everything is rusty, and dirty. They overcharge for crap. The poor cleaning people have sub par supplies. The owners really need to take care of the property by painting, remodeling, and caring for the property better. As a guest, you pay a daily fee for what? No coffee for the machine, packets of shampoo, and cheap soap. You need to spend extra for a fridge and microwave since the city side doesn't come with them. Isn't that a standard thing now? Please don't waste your money. You think you're getting a deal, but this hotel is garbage. Should stay at other hotels for same price in the end. Will never come back. The staff tried to accommodate and were helpful, but the owner really needs to give them supplies, etc. They deal with complaints all day long.
