A really good place to stay on a budget, well located, extremely friendly staff who speak a lot of different languages. Shared bedrooms: The bunker beds are comfy, just be aware you can be lucky or unlucky with the other guests staying on the same room, that means you can either have an amazing experience and get to know new people, or have someone who sleeps and snores like a diesel Generator from 1988 trying to start on a cold Russian winter. Single/couple bedrooms: Absolute delight to be in, a lot of space, USB plugs all over and comfortable to sleep in. Bathrooms and showers are one of the most clean I've ever seen. Breakfast food is tasty and definitively recommended. Finally, the view from the rooftop is also nice. 5*

Good location but be careful for other guests in the same room (Possible burglar)”
The hotel is truly confortable and worth the money. I love this hotel. By the way, I have to warn everyone for the possibility of burglar among guests as it happened to me. Luckily, I discovered a black woman (guest next bed) who tried to open my luggage (with code) at night (about 3 or 4 am) and I was really careful after I saw that. I think it often happened in Paris thesedays. It is really sad but it's the truth. Therefore, the hotel is really clean and they have everything you need. The price is so reasonable.

Great location for an affordable hostel”
The hostel is at the heart of Paris, with a metro within 2 mins walking distance. The rooms were clean and so were the bathrooms. They offer free soap both in the sink and shower area. Staff were friendly and accommodating when needed. I asked for a bottom bed, cause they usually give me the top bunk, and they gave me bottom no questions asked. Would recommend every generator hostel across Europe.

Really nice hotel. Clean facilities. Plenty of amenities. The staff were very friendly and willing to accommodate. Rooms were nice and clean with good A/C system and hot water. Convenient location, but not a nice area at night. I recommend being alert and traveling with friends.

I stayed in a private room for 2 with my mother. The hostel is a good 5 minutes walk from the Metro (Colonel Fabien) and 30 minutes away from the tourist destinations in Paris. It is near to groceries too (one downstairs and one a good 5 minutes walk across the street). The room is huge which is a plus since it is Paris after all. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. Although, we found it weird that there was no shared kitchen which is normal in hostels. But overall our stay with Generator Paris Hostel is great, definitely recommended!

Very close to metro line 2. Great place for younger souls. There might have been some system issues, that the receptionist gave us a key card to an occupied room at night :/ Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Generator. Check out is 10am, we stored our backpacks there after checking out at the locker room for a fee.

I've never been in such a fancy hostel! Wonderful amenities, feels safe, decent location. My room even had a nice sunset view. I would stay here when I come back to Paris, no doubt.

Well located and a great place to meet new people. The rooms and toilets were clean & modern. Restaurants and Supermarkets close by. All in all, value for money. However, the bar is rather overpriced and unless you buy the Premium Wi-fi(which is also overpriced), you'll be getting disconnected every 5 minutes.

Hotel in hostel form ”
It feels like a hotel but you are in hostel. One of the most spacious hotel I have stayed in Europe. It doesn’t feel like an eight bed dorm at all. I like how they have bathroom and toilet in the dorm and they are super clean. It’s quite a distance to walk from gare du nord but actually there are other metros around . Paris was on strike so I had to walk a lot and didn’t get much chances to use the metro. One down side is that they don’t allow outside food and no kitchen in the dorm . But overall this hostel is highly recommended and worth for the price you are paying! I will recommend this hostel to anyone who is visiting paris on a budget.

Great location near subway and train station. Basic yet functional rooms. Recommended for short stay and if you'll be out most of the time. Having the toilet separate from the shower is also a plus.

Everything was fine except the shower, which broke down on the first night of our trip, making it difficult to sleep after a sweating day but without a shower, but happily it was fixed the next day.
