It’s more a welfare home than a hostel, and I don’t mean to say it in a disrespectful way..”
Honestly my first impression was very sketchy. The male/female dormitories are VERY different, and when it comes to the men’s rooms it’s honestly hard to describe how deceiving the photos are. Not only are there not lockers in the room, but the rooms are disturbingly dirty, with stains, bugs and an overall mess. It’s not a run down place, but I can tell you it’s far from being worth more than 7€ a night… The pictures on the various websites are so old and setup, that you won’t believe that some of these pictures were taken here. The rating on Agoda says 6.1, and when you look up hostels in Milan this is the one that is shown. Yet…. The overall rating across all the websites is 4,4, which we didn’t know when we booked it as it showed us 6.1.. (Our mistake, we learned from it)… Which is closer the rating I would put it at. Besides that, the hostels lacks a lot of things when it comes to even a basic level of hygiene… It’s so bad that you will be surprised that people are okay with it… The bathrooms, just like 100+ other people have probably mentioned are so disgusting and in our case we chose to not use them unless necessary and decided to hold ourselves until we made it into the city. When it came to my room, on top of all the other things, I had a strong odour of vomit, which my girlfriend even mentioned to me as I wasn’t sure what I smelled was correct. Either my bed wasn’t properly washed after someone threw up in it or it happen to the bed below me, no matter the case I didn’t end up staying. The lock to my room didn’t work also, so I slept with no real sense of security, as my room was on the ground level and a lot of people, from what it looked like, could just walk in. The room my girlfriend had, as mentioned earlier, was both times WAY better than the men’s one, but still not worth more than at least 10€ per night. First room had a locker, was on a level where only women were allowed in and from what I was told was a bit more clean, yet still very dirty. Her second room on the other hand, was on the top floor and first glance looked like a proper hostel room, even one that looked renovated, not sure why they haven’t done the same to the rest, but that being said the shower had no warm water (as mentioned in other reviews ) , only had 2 lockers, for 4 people… And the shower on top of being cold had mold inside of it.. The building, in my opinion, has a lot of potential, sadly it seems like a place tourist, young and older, book without knowing they aren’t getting what they are paying for and are instead placed in rooms that are no better than Welfare housing… A lot of the people who stayed here also looked like very unfortunate, poor or homeless people, which we also got the impression of from a they had put up (in Italian only tho) that mentioned that “all guest who haven’t paid by x date will be kicked out, and that they are giving any more credit to people”. This was btw posted outside the men’s section…

The room is not clean as the photos showed and I can smell the heavy smelling of smoking though I did not witness anyone smoking. The window is next to the street so you can hear the traffic and the noise from whom are laughing and drinking. I actually do not have a good night and have to pay for 25€, so this is my true feeling about this hostel😰

nearest one in subway and the cheapest too. staff is so nice. the room is clean with aircon to make it warm. there's enough thick blankets. the toilet is common and expect that other guests are not keeping it clean. other guests also speak so loud even at 1 AM in the hallway and you can definitely hear it and the closing of their doors.

There is no breakfast, even it says in Agoda, that breakfast is included. They offered us only small cup of coffee. When we arrived, there were no keys left, so we didn't have key at the beginning. Room was quite ok, big room and comfortable beds. They separated them after our request. Cleanness of room was good, but I can't say that about shared facilities. Not very clean and Kitchen! OMG! haven't seen anything like this, they should't even have it if it is like that. There is nothing to cook on or any kitchen utensils. And sooo dirty. Fridge and microwave oven and thats it. I din't mind their water saving system. Its is good to be eco friendly, but I really mind that second evening we had problem with light - it didn't turn on in bathroom and didn't turn off in the room and no electricity to charge phones. We wanted to sleep. but had to wait until they understand what happened. No wi-fi in the rooms also a minus.
