Lovely Clean Basic Hotel”
Wasn't sure we was expecting but once we went through the narrow corridor and into our room we were very happy. The room was very clean, nicely decorated and fit for purpose. We were out most of the time so only came back to sleep but it was a lovely sleep, our main thing was the hotel had to be clean and this did not disappoint.

Quiet & Comfortable hotel in a hip corner of Paris”
This hotel has a tasteful fun touch to the decor and is well placed for exploring the Bastille, Republique, Voltaire triangle. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are small but warm (I visited in early March) the bathroom in my room was showing signs of age but was basically clean.

Nice”
5 minutes walk from the Metro station Charonne. Service is quite nice with the friendly smiles, and the desk person really helpful and funny with French accent English. Also this hotel has got the reasonable price in the travel season (we went there in July), even though the space overall is quite small and simple but here provides many things neccesary such as TV, WIFI, bathroom. Many rooms with the window are nice to see the sundhine and the clouds when we awaked in the morning. In addition, the environment is peaceful and peaple are nice around, especially there are two cheap+yummy kabab shops near by downstairs, so even go back home late would not worry hungry with the visitors' financial stress in Paris. However the thing is only that the electronic sockets are possibly not enough for two people using at the same time, and sometimes the toilet in our own bathroom would be a bit smelly, but not too much affected. Overall we were satisfied with this hostel.

Nice hotel, close to everything”
This was a nice little hotel. It offered good value for money - room was a little too warm (we stayed in July) as there was no fan, but was clean and a reasonable size, close to the metro and to Bastille which has lots of restaurants, shops and bars etc.

Conflicting opinions”
We had a nice stay. I would like to say good things but I will mention some bad things as well. We were there for 8 days of Christmas holidays. The positive is that the hotel is close to Cafes and Metro and it is in a safe location for walking. The general idea is that we paid too much for not much. Of course you may say it is normal for Paris area, but okey then take it as a negative comment for Paris as a whole. The room was small and had nothing with "good finish", and we were at one of the largest rooms (corner room). The map of the hotel depicted the other rooms much smaller. There were no a/c which makes it very hard to stand in summer time due to the street noise when windows are open (we were at 5th floor and it was too much). Even the heating is not independent, you cannot adjust the temperature because it is a central heating. The room was clean and the cleaning was daily. Moreover the lift was up to 5th floor.

very good hotel ”
Truly good hotel. Very good location. About 5 minuts to underground. You can go almost everywhere by one line. Hotel is very nice, the room was small but very nice. The staff was really nice and speak English. In the area there was a lot of bars and restaurants. I really recommend this hotel.

Nice cute hotel”
The hotel was a little out of central Paris. You would have to catch a couple of metro (once you understand the train system) to get there. There is no breakfast provided, however there is cafe's near by to get food. During the day the streets are quiet, but during the nights the streets are loud with singing drunks from a near by bar. Since there is no AC the room gets hot and you would have to leave the window open and the street noise would be heard.

Conveniently located and clean”
The hotel is close to the metro, lots of pastry shops and cafes around. the room is clean but a bit small, but the price is reasonable to the room size and location, about 15 minutes walk to the Gare-Lyon train station. The breakfast at the hotel is not cheap but is a buffet.

Lovely hotel, great location, decent size room”
It was a lovely time for us staying at the hotel. Ok we didn't stay in much but when we're in, there's nothing to complain about. The room is of decent size, the shower is very good with high pressure shower head which is amazing after you have had all day outside, the room is cleaned every day with new towels. It is in a very good location, 3 minutes to the subway and lots of other shops around the hotel as well. The staff seems friendly to me ('seem' because my boyfriend does all the communication with them as he speaks French and I don't).

Acceptable”
Many small problems made this a disappointing 8-night hotel stay. Renovation noise, slow lift busy with builders, key card constantly not working, room heating not warm enough and turning itself off, mouldy walls and bathroom, sacks of dirty laundry piled high and obstructing access outside my door, intermittent wifi, and inappropriate communication by staff. I liked the location near Charonne metro station and walking distance to Bastille, and beds were comfortable with clean linens. But overpriced and would not stay again.

Horrid place in Paris”
The Arts Bastille was a horrible experience for us and we do not plan to return. The decor of the hotel seems like a motel. The room we got had no AC unit, and even though it was mid October, we needed it. Because of this, we had to open our window and we couldn't fall asleep because Bastille is a popular place with lots of noise at night. The curtains didnt cover the window fully, so it was light even at night. The room was dirty and my gf was itchy whenever she touched the sheets. The bathroom was kinda dirty and the drain in the shower flooded a lot. The elevator is too small for 2 people with luggage and only goes to the 5th floor, and we were living the the 6th. Usually we are really easy going and give good reviews to most decent and ok hotels, but I would suggest shelling out 5 more dollars a night to look for a different hotel. I think your experience would be much better in a city which deserves it.

Good location with ok rooms”
The hotel has a good location, close to the metro. Staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was located on the 6th floor, which isn't reachable by the hotels (tiny) elevator. The standard in our room did not at all meet up with what we expected. Tiny room, no "art" what so ever and the toilet wasn't working ok. That said, you often don't get a lot for your money in Paris, but considering the pictures on the hotel webpage we felt quite disappointed..

good budget hotel”
Really good location and cheap, for Paris. The rooms are small, especially the bathroom but clean and comfortable enough. Reception were helpful. The kind of place you book if you don't intend spending much time in the room but need a good base.

Nice hotel to stay in Patis”
I got a nice hotel, small as usually it is in Europe but ok. The breakfast was simple but good, self services with cheese, cross saint, milk, cereal... The hotel is close to groceries shops and near to Charonne subway to make easy to visit the most important places in Paris :D

Excellent”
Good location for the Hotel. The hotel is just renovated, all the renovations are finished in 25.09.2019 when we staid there. They need to improve a little bit the breakfast. Great hotel for the money that we payd.

Hotel des arts-bastille ”
Small hotel close to metro station. Convenient enough for a short stay in Paris. Room is very small especially the bathroom though all essential things are readily at hand. Hotel staffs were not knowledgeable in accessing internet although it claims that WiFi is available. Have not tried breakfast so can't comment on food.

A normal standard hotel”
General speaking is low price. 5 min walk from the Metro station. Around hotel has many restaurants. Room is not big and the decoration is little bit old. Just for sleeping is recommended but please do not expect a romantic one.
