Since it is located in Chinatown, it is convenient for sightseeing in Yokohama. There are two downsides. One is that I used a compact room, and perhaps because the room is small and there is no gap between the air conditioner wall and the bed, when I turned on the air conditioner, the vibrations from the machine were transmitted to the bed. If it were a larger room, this might not be a problem. The other is that I was concerned about the smell of the pajamas. Although the laundry was clean and tidy, it had the peculiar smell of something old, so I did not use them. I think it would be better for those who are sensitive to bring their own. The room was equipped with everything necessary, so I did not feel any inconvenience. I felt that the room was clean and well-maintained. The water pressure in the shower was also good. The staff were pleasant and responded quickly. They offered to store my luggage for free after check-in and check-out. Overall, the access was convenient, so I would like to use it again next time. Next time I’ll choose a slightly larger room.
Location fantastic for enjoying city fun! We had a last .minute discounted booking so a great deal - not sure about usual rates. All the right room amenities & super comfortable bedding & pillows. 2nd floor space has a big Smoking Room. Staff very courteous & helpful. Some reason we couldn't use their 'sauna' but they advised at check-in & reimbursed for a great onsen only a few blocks away that was open till 1am. Our hot water in the room was not working but we opted not to bother asking for help since it was just one night & we had used the onsen - otherwise a great experience!
We went to Yokohama Chinatown last Jan 28 2025 and booked from Agoda app good for 3 person for only 8,000 yen so we can make a good discount but the receptionist ask us to pay another 2,000 yen for using the Agoda app so be careful and bring enough money. We have 1 room with 2 bedrooms good for 3 person and it says the room is non smoking area but I still smell the smoke of cigarettes coming from the trash bin. The curtains isn’t clean enough it smells cigarettes and it bothers me although I like the room but it wasn’t sound proof we hear a baby crying from another room. it’s in 8th flr. Overall it is a good hotel place to eat chinese food.
Hotel Livemax Motomachi is located at the southernmost part of Yokohama Chinatown and is very close to Motomachi-Chukagai Station. The guest rooms are absolutely comfortable to stay in, even though they are not very spacious. Each room is equipped with individual air conditioning, and this hotel has some rooms with wonderful views of Yokohama Chinatown. The reception clerks are really kind and friendly. Their heart-warming hospitality is remarkable, although this hotel is currently specialized for stays only. We can extend our checkout until noon for 1,000 yen at this hotel. It takes approximately a 5-minute walk to reach Yamashita Park and the Port of Yokohama. Many bus services are also available near the hotel, so we can easily go to other famous sightseeing spots such as Minato Mirai, Oosambashi Pier, Hommoku, Noge, Isezaki-cho, and Yamate. Additionally, Motomachi Shopping Street, Harbor-view Hill Park, and several business districts are within walking distance. Therefore, Hotel Livemax Motomachi deeply satisfies me every time I stay here. I would like to recommend staying here when you visit Yokohama and express my deepest gratitude to the staff.

“Great location for its price but need deep cleaning”
The best thing about this hotel is its location. It's only two short blocks away from Motomachi chukagai train station (the last stop of Minato Mirai line), specifically its stairs and elevator/ lift access. It's also in Chinatown but not the crowded part of Chinatown - so it's still pretty calm and quiet at night while still having access to good food stalls. Room is small but is expected of this kind of hotel chain, has all the basics needed for a quick stay. My strong suggestion is to improve the cleaning. Some parts of the room were very dusty which is a bit disturbing - including the air purifier! Makes me think that it needs a filter replacement. There were stains in the bath tub also might be because the shower is always leaking. Hope the hotel can improve in this aspect.
