"i was passing through paris for 24 hours. i wanted something in central and hotel des ducs d'anjou offered me exactly what i needed. without much research about the hotel location or the city of paris, i booked this hotel as this is around the area i was told to stay. the hotel is within reach from chatalet / le hallis station. there are direct train to this station from the airport. however, do get a local map before hand as i could not found it on the map of the metro station. so i panicked for 10 mins, as i don't speak french at all. the exits of this massive metro station is confusing. i suggest you get to the group from any exit first. much easier to navigate with your gps phone rather than figuring the closest exit. the check in lady was in her casual outfit but she was really friendly. i started with the usual "bonjour! sorry i don't speak french and i only speak english." she smiled back and said it is no problem and welcome! this treatment is hard to find in paris. (btw, i had an african french shop keeper in a 5 stars denim store kept telling me he didn't not speak in english in french and gave me a lot of hesitations to help me with the vat refund form, even he was told by his english speaking manger to complete this simple task for me, i don't understand this kind of behavior). the room is nice and again tiny to my likings. however, it is clean and moden looking. the bath room is clean and functional but small. choose this hotel for a 1-2 nights of transit. "I stayed at this lovely hotel near Pont Neuf and St. Eustache - accessible from the Chantille Train station exit 4. (5 minute walk if you do it right) It is walkable to almost everything you will want to see. My room was quite nice, the hotel staff terrific. My price was quite good in low season and using Agoda - perhaps a last minute deal. The elevator as others have noted can fit two people or maybe all your big suitcases. Its very small - like an old style telephone box. Of all the places I have stayed in Paris, I think this was my favorite so far. French translation courtesy of Google"

"We arrived early and were first given a tiny room out the back, with a brick wall outside the window. After asking for a view to the street we were upgraded (at no cost) to the top-floor, on the corner with a balcony. The difference was huge, but to be sure I would recommend just booking a room with a balcony. The location is unbeatable. In the evening while our 2yo son slept we sat on the balcony overlooking the street cafes, chatting over a bottle of red wine. "

"The hotel located tourist centre of Paris. It was very convenient for sightseeing. We could walk to the Louvre, Tuirullies, Notre Dame and even St German de Pres. The room had a bath tub, that I think was pretty rare among the hotels of similar level. Although sleeping with two kids in two singles was not that relaxing, the room was bigger than I expected. It should have facilitate a kettle/coffee making machine... It was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in Paris in terms of value and location:) "

"Apart from the early slight inconvenience of the taxi not being able to find the hotel (we end up being dropped off nearby and having to walk to look for the hotel) and some noise from construction work outside the hotel in the early morning and late night revelers, I am pleased with my choice. Ref finding the hotel, it would have helped if on booking, there were instructions to us on how to locate the hotel. I had a apartment for 4 of us and it was adequate with a double bed and a fantastic sofa bed for 2. Room cleaning was not the best I have come across but adequate. More importantly, for non french speaking visitors like myself, the hotel staff well helpful, fully conversant in English and helped in giving directions to the metro and areas of interest. Its also walking distance to the Lourve museum. Little touches like readily available hot beverages in the lobby area are fantastic coming back into the hotel after a day out in the cold in December. Availability of food is not an issue as there are many restaurants to choose from nearby the hotel."
