Check in was self-service. Very efficient and smooth. No complications. Rooms easy to find. I used a superior twin room, but enough for two people to sleep. The room was a bit small for two people. Every equipments and electronics were new. Most surprised with the bathroom and shower. It was very clean, spacious, and felt new. Among the amenities we can pick was bath salt. For the first time in my life, I used a bath salt on a bathtub in a Japanese hotel. Very satisfied. Location was great. 7 min walk from yokohama station. A lot of restaurants nearby. Place was relatively quiet despite the busy location. Breakfast costed 1,500 per person. Not sure if it was worth it. If you want to save money on breakfast, better to just buy something from Family Mart nearby. The breakfast buffet was not bad, but I wouldn't say it was worth the price. At most, I would say it was 1,000 yen. Overall, it was very worth the price for two people.
I find the room that I had was really clean as there is no moldy smell in the toilet at all and the room air doesn't feel stale. I have stayed in several different hotels before and sometimes, the other hotel rooms looked clean and neat but the toilet has a moldy smell and the air doesn't feel fresh. So, I think JR-East Hotel Mets Yokohama is really good in their cleanliness. Because of this, I hope to stay in the same hotel when I travel again in other parts of Japan. I even thought of signing up for the JR membership because of the pleasant stay. Location wise it's a quite a walking distance from Yokohama Station and it is connect via a walkway between NEWoMan and the hotel. The hotel has sent me a message on the direction and that was really helpful. Plus, I actually checked a YouTube video showing the direction towards the hotel. I like the location of the hotel because it is on the quiet side and there are some restaurants and Tully's Cafe nearby. The hotel is on 2nd floor of the building and the ground floor there is a supermarket but can only be accessed from the street outside. This is really useful. There is a Family Mart Across the streets. And there are many restaurant within walking distance. Overall, I have enjoyed my stay.
The hotel is located in a quite new building near Yokohama station, so that everything is clean, neat & nice. It took a bit to figure out how to check-in at kiosk, but online operator remotely suppored me. Staff is very friendly. There are nice amenity selection for guests to choose. I just wish the guest room to be a bit bigger. It's too small for travelers with large luggage- no room for opening a suitcase. Also, access from the station is a bit confusing. Should target JR Yokohama Tower NEWoMan which is connected to the hotel via roofed passage.

Less than a 5-minute walk from Yokohama Station, there is a large pedestrian walkway directly connected to the station. Moreover, a convenience store and a supermarket are right in front! It was very hot, but I spent very little time walking outside, so it was very comfortable. The staff were also polite, and check-in and check-out could be done quickly with a machine, making it easy. The best part was the unit bath! It was very spacious and clean everywhere, with a large mirror and enough space for all toiletries. There were also many outlets in the room, and the charging was fast. The TV was large too. If I had to point out a downside, it was that the width of the window was narrow, but other than that, it was an ideal guest room with no complaints. I definitely want to use it again if I come back!
