    “Exceptional”

Perfect one night stay for our visit to the monkey park the next morning. Hotel is located just outside the entrance to the monkey park. Hotel provided free walking boots for going to the park as the walking trail can get muddy. Beautiful garden setting can be viewed from the lobby. Our Japanese style room was clean and comfortable. Service staff were polite and able to communicate well in English. Dinner and breakfast was well presented. Free coffee at the lobby for hotel guests. Private onsen had an indoor tub and outdoor section. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

    “Great hotel”

A fabulous facility, with amazing staff, cleanliness and service. The food was incredible as was all the staff we encountered. It was quiet to relax and enjoy the facilities without crowds. From the ads I was expecting a smaller hotel but it was very large and lovely. I would stay again however it is very pricey for one night then having to pay to book a private onsen on top was not ideal but understandable. We wanted a private onsen to enjoy as a family as well as use the public. Very close to snow monkey and other establishments.

    “Exceptional”

This hotel is a very traditional ryokan, with rooms with tatami floors. The multi-course dinner and breakfast was excellent. Staff was super attentive; a staff would even take you to your room to show you the amenities in the room. They also setup your tatami bed while you are having dinner, and put it away while you are having breakfast. Location wise it is located at the very entrance to the Jigokudani Monkey Park (where you begin hiking into the park).

    “Plesant experience and clean room”

Stay 2 nights in 12 Nov with btrakfast and dinner invluded. We have pleasant experience with the friendly and helpful staff. I love the rustic wooden furnitures, the private onsen and beautiful mini garden. The shuttle bus send us to Yudanaka station (moderate crowd) and helpful train staff to guide me to buy the tickets. Bus service 23 from JR nagano ($1800, driver assisted to load the luggages) is stressfree and stop at the down slop from the hotel (140m walk with luggages and enjoyed the scenery along the way but not recommend for elderly and parents with heavy luggages). The views from our room at level 3 is super and the staffs will set up the bed every night for you. There are 2 parking spaces near the hotel too if you drive. Enza and another eating place just next to hotel. Its about 100m walk to the snow monkey gift shop and after a tiring treking into snow monkey park, i appreciate the having the hotel so near to rest. Bring cup noodles/snack for supper bdcause the shops closed aroumd 5pm and there are no convenient stores or vending machine here.

    “A Special Experience ”

This hotel provided many memories during our trip to Japan. The private and public baths are in a beautiful natural setting. The Japanese traditional rooms are immaculate and comfortable. The staff is beyond helpful and welcoming. The nine course dinners were delicious and innovative. Highly recommended.
