No. 1 Hotel in Magong City”
Although I didn't use it, they offer a shuttle service to/from the airport. The hotel is situated a block from the harbor. Very cleaned. Adjacent to a Family Mart. One of the staff speaks English very able and directed me to a food stand and a seafood restaurant. Got to get a taste of authentic, local cuisine. He also arranged a six-hour tour of the northern islands with a taxi service. Highly recommend if your stay is short and you want to maximize your time on Penghu Islands.

Wonderful! Friendly Staff and Value for Money”
The staff in MF Hotel was wonderful! The staff is run by young people who are enthusiastic to share and friendly - made a great difference in our trip! We arrived an hour early due to a change in flight timing and was pleasantly surprised to find that they have an MF counter at the airport. The lady at the booth was friendly and arranged for an early pick up for us to the hotel. She also highlight Penghu's attraction for us on the map. The hotel is cosy and the front desk staff allowed us to keep the bags with the counter as we went to explore a little as it was too early to check in - the room wasn't ready.The front desk guy was really helpful and told us about the popular attractions like the windmill and the disappearing island - very helpful advice. Also given coupon for free beer at the little pub at the side of the hotel - small, cosy and plays English MTV. However the pub was visited by the local police twice consecutively - not too sure what was that about. But no fuss they would just ask to check just ask to check your passport - they leave the tourists alone. Has laundry service in the basement as well as a dryer - life saver! Just remember to have coins in handy. Hotel is near local food and shopping - easy to navigate at night. Wonderful and fantastic breakfast in a cosy cafe at the side - do wake up early to enjoy the experience before the crowd comes in Would definitely come back again and will recommend MF Hotel to my friends!

A great stay on the overall. The hotel was located right in the middle of Magong City where you can easily walk to the destination places easily. Located right in the city also means you are surrounded by a lot of nice eateries where they sell an array of seafood. Hotel staffs were very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was the one that impressed us the most. It was one of the best hotel breakfast I had. Good shuttle to and from the airport. Overall, thumbs up for MF hotel.

we were impressed with the friendly staff during check-in and check-out. the room (and bathroom) was spacious. as the hotel is an eco-friendly hotel, disposable amenities were not provided in the room (but available upon request at front counter). breakfast was surprising delicious. the hotel even gave us free beer vouchers (2 cans per person), welcome drink voucher and sent us from the hotel to the airport. the only comment we have is the stale smell of cigarettes when we initially entered the room. we left the windows open to ventilate the room when we went sightseeing, and it was alright when we returned. overall, we were happy with our stay at the hotel, and would certainly consider staying at mf hotel if we visit penghu again.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Room was nice and very clean. Staff were helpful and informative. Can even help you hire a scooter to get around on. We booked too late for airport transfer coming in but used the free service going back. It's a good location to use as a base for exploring Penghu as it's close to key Magong sights. It's a few kilometres drive to the beaches... but you cam swim in the bay in front of the rainbow bridge. If I had one thing I would change about the hotel.. it would be the use of disposable chopsticks, plates and bowls at breakfast. They say the hotel is trying to be green and this doesn't fit that description. All in all.. a good place to stay that I would happily recommend.

Nice hotel, really great stay”
we stayed at the mf for a four nights during our trip to penghu. the staff is friendly and they take good care of every issue or question you have concerning traveling plans. they set us up with a taiwanese scooter rental next door. the rooms are cleaned daily during breakfast or a little later. breakfast in the restaurant next door is great!

Great Location and big room”
Definitely, a hotel i would recommend to fellow agoda members. Great Location, hearty breakfast and safe environment for family with kids. Generally, the people are very friendly and the hotel staff are willing to make your stay enjoyable. We are nearby some restaurants that serve mainly seafood. Penghu, being a fishing port, have lots of fresh produce. Heard alot about Penghu prior our trip thru tv's broadcast. However, we went during off-peak season and we travel by air instead of ferry (no ferry service available). Best time to travel is from chiayi county and between the months of Apr to Sep. Do check again prior booking on ferry schedules.

The location is very good if you take a ferry to Penghu. There is a Family Mart right next to the hotel so it's super convenient. It is also within walking distance from many attractions in Magong. The staff were very friendly.

I love it! Definitely first choice if I visit Penghu again. The hotel staff went an extra mile just to help me and I am so grateful for that. Their rooms are also big and spacious! The beds are comfortable and clean. Most importantly, the price is reasonable! They also have laundry room where we did our laundry. Great hotel! Breakfast is also good! They have some set meals to choose from and free flow of porridge which taste great!(: love everything about it!

Lovely hotel in good location”
MF Hotel in situated in the main downtown area of Makung. We received a very friendly welcome despite arriving very late. Our room (which may have been upgraded) was of a great size. We also had a view over the harbour (think more Harwich rather than Sydney!). Everything worked well in the hotel and free wireless internet is provided. Breakfast is average to say the least. Orange juice is more like a power and water job rather than being fresh juice. There are 5 main options to choose from which are Chinese 'takes' on Western food. A hamburger for breakfast? Really? Not quite sure I would call whatever came out a hamburger anyhow. Oddly, the Chinese breakfast option was only available two days a week. The coffee is good, however. There are a few nice bakeries nearby and would suggest that if you are a breakfast person. Self washing facilities are available in the basement (washer and dryer NT$50 per unit, per use). This was a welcome facility for an extended trip. We would like to single out a member of staff, Xavier, who was most helpful during our stay. His English is excellent (something not often found in hotels, especially outside of Taipei) and nothing was too much trouble for him. Do contact the hotel prior to arrival as they do offer a complimentary airport collection/drop off facility.

Nice boutique hotel in Magong, Penghu”
MF hotel is one of the more popular hotels in Magong. it's actually a nice boutique hotel with very helpful staff. Room is clean, with a nice sea view. Brekkie is fantastic with many options, despite the fact that it's not buffet. They serve proper 4-course brekkie that makes me feel like a king btw. Overall I will give 4/5

Fantastic Service in a great hotel”
we stayed 3 nights in this very nice hotel located very close to the harbour. the staff was very attentive and they spoke english quite well. they were very helpful with arranging tours for us or renting a scooter for us. the room was clean and comfy and nicely designed. as for food we only had breakfast there once, which was english/american style. it was ok, but with a lot of restaurants and food stalls around and being on penghu we preferred eating out. pick-up was from the airport was arranged for free and they also drop us off there. all in all we had a fantastic stay.

my wife and i loved our stay at m hotel. the out of season price was excellent for the service we received. we appreciated the airport pick-up and drop-off. on checking-in we were surprised by the gentleman at the counter's perfect english. we also appreciated the sightseeing tips since this was our first visit to penghu. we hope to be back - this time in summer.

i really can recommend this hotel to anyone coming to penghu. the rooms are really good. the breakfast was awesome. the staff was helping us a lot: to organize trips, to rent scooters and took care of our transportation from and to the airport. once when the a/c was down for some minutes, they gave us free beer as an apologize. that was awesome. i would check-in there at any other time. thanks!

My family and I stayed here for the 2014 Penghu Marathon. The staff was extremely accommodating in helping us get two rooms next to each other. The restaurant offers a decent variety of pastas and risotto which I found nice to have the night before the race. The rooms are a little Spartan but clean and the hotel is near several restaurants and shopping areas. I would stay there again.

We wished we stayed for the 3rd night before leaving Penghu (but it was fully booked). We head to Penghu with 0 plan for itineraries, but was so fortunate that they have all the different package and recommendation we can go for! It was fun and fulfilling. The miracle of nature”
Given the cheap price of this hotel, I didn't feel disappointed when I went into my room. It is clean and provides everything I need. But of course it won't be as good as those hotels in large cities. The staff are very nice. They tried their best to help the customers, e.g. transportation, traveling routes. I will still stay in this hotel if I visit Magong city in the future.
