"I suppose for the price you can’t complain too much but I was disappointed that in general the property is a little worn out. Four instance in my room the sofa had multiple stains on it that actually made me uncomfortable sitting on it. The coffee table and furniture in the room was generally banged up and scratched and scuffed just not looking very good."

"The Hilton @ Mission Valley has become drab and grey. The lighting in the hallways is dim and dull, and carpark is quite terrible in my opinion. To make things worse, the Hilton charges $22/night for parking. Other hotels (eg. Hilton Garden Inn) is offering free parking on-site. Front desk was stiffly polite, but otherwise unhelpful and not very accommodating. The falling ratings for this property is well-deserved. (this is a Hilton, not Hotel81). Otherwise, the location is pretty ok: close to the Freeway and just across the overpass is Fashion Valley and plenty of shopping areas. Hilton could do well to take full advantage of it's prime location with a much needed facelift both cosmetically and service-wise."

"The SHERATON MISSION VALLEY is a GREAT place to stay for a number of reasons. The location allows for you to get to many attractive and poplar spots in San Diego with relative ease...if you have vehicle. Relying on public transportation in San Diego can be a drag and adds so much time to your travel. However if you have car you are in good shape. Mission Valley Mall, Fashion Valley Mall, the historic Old Town area, downtown and Balboa Park...Mexico is 15-20 minutes away...I really could go on and on about options you have in relative proximity to the Sheraton in Mission Valley. The staff at the hotel are simply lovely....one of the best that I have encountered in a while. The guest rooms are very nice; the ballroom(s)...gorgeous, and while the "gym" leaves much to be desired (mostly cardio stuff not much for weights or machines) on the whole the property is really lovely with what it offers. The catered food is scrumptious and the service is solid. Please be advised that parking is not free, however this is par for the course at most hotels in California. All in all I would have to say that this is one of my best hotel experiences in California. You should enjoy your stay at the SHERATON MISSION VALLEY."

"We love this hotel! Upon checking in, they give out their complimentary cookies. It was to die for! My kids kept asking for more. Rooms are big, laundromat available, good location and courteous staff. We had a memorable stay here than the Hilton across where the staff at front desk were rude. Staff here were very accommodating!"

"My husband and I along with our 3 kids stayed in a King with double single beds/bunk bed. We also have two toddlers ages 1 and 3 with us and we can defintely say that the room was not toddler friendly because the room is quite small and the layout is kind of strange. We were frustrated with the flimsy sliding door that seperate the King bed from the bunk beds, it was pointless. On the site here, it says parking was free but upon checking out I received an invoice for $36 for 3 nights of parking. The lady at the front desk did however waived it as courtesy but mentioned that next time, it'll be $12 per night. Overall, the complimentary breakfast was nice. They're open from 6:30 till 10 am and it gets busy but it's free so what do you expect? And you can always eat in your room if you can't get a table to sit. I would have to say that the location of the hotel was probably the best part about the whole experience, it is central to SD Zoo, Balboa Park and a lot of the tourist place. It is not the best but also not the worse either but will we book there again? Eh maybe not. "
