"Hotel was located near to many of the hotspots (e.g. Galeries Lafayette Haussmann, Printemps Haussmann, Paris Opera and etc) in Paris with walking distance. Basic amenities were available in the hotel and there are convenient store within 3 minutes walking distance from the hotel. However, service provided by one of the staff was not that friendly. Requested whether there is other available room after found out that the door cannot be locked properly but was being rejected without checking for the availability. Overall still satisfy with everything. "

"Finding a family room for three or four in Paris is like looking for a needle in a haystack so Hotel Havane is a gem. Good value considering the central location in Opéra (9th) and convenient to transport. In a quiet side road off Rue Lafayette so not too noisy for Paris. Room was basic tho. Two comfortable double beds but inadequate storage for clothes, so good we only lived out of suitcase for three days. Smelly plumbing. Shower was clean hot but only large enough for a mouse. The hotel was very clean just old and a bit tired in decor. If you just need somewhere to sleep without breaking your budget, this is perfect."

"This hotel is in the Montmartre area which is great especially if you are a first time visitor to Paris and you'd like to cross Montmartre and Sacre-Couer on your list of places to visit. The room-- We booked an eco double room and please note that this room will be a bit cramped. No AC unit either. We were there in the summer during the heatwave and boy was it stifling. But luckily, the hotel had a fan to lend us. Though small, it was very clean. There's a sink in the room. Showers and toilets were shared. If I'm not mistaken, the toilet is shared for two floors. They can arrange airport transfers for 18 euros per pax, which is a really good price considering how Uber expensive can get. All in all, we were very pleased with the hotel and would recommend it."

"this hotel is in the 9th arrondisement, not far from the opera, and close to metro stations. it was renovated recently, so the rooms are modern and clean (if somewhat on the small side). the lift is tiny and slow, so be patient. the complimentary breakfast is reasonably good for a 3-star hotel. internet access is also complimentary, but you need to renew your code every 24 hours, and access can be slow. all in all, a good choice for a short vacation in paris."

"I arrived before 8.30am after a long haul international flight and although the website said check in wasn't until 2.00pm, my room was already available and I was able to check in straight away. The staff were extremely warm and exceptionally polite as well as highly efficient. The room was light and airy and very clean and although I'd expected it to be quite small, it utilised its space efficiently so in no way felt cramped. The location was perfect and being my first trip to Paris and a little apprehensive about where to book, I could not have picked a better area. La Palais De Garnier is at the end of the street and was a delight to pass every day and the metro station is metres from the front door so access to public transport couldn't be easier. I would definitely recommend the Excelsior Opera Hotel and it will be the first place I look to book for future visits to the beautiful city of Paris."

"We enjoyed our stay. The location is great. It is close to the Opera with a bus stop and a metro station a minute's walk from the hotel that will take you to all major sites. It is also a walking distance from the bus/train to Charles de Gaul. The room was cozy, quiet, clean and with an impeccable bathroom (small shower enclosure, though). The small flat-screen TV has channels in several languages. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful, and are definitely a big plus. I read here many complaints about the breakfast, but we found it to be very cheap relative to a breakfast we had in a nearby cafe, which served much less food for the same price. The buffet includes quite a variety for only €10. If you like a big breakfast, that's your best choice. It's also Kosher (no meat), which is ideal for Jewish people and vegetarians alike. The only downside was the coffee, which we found to be tasteless."
