Opera hotels & places to stay

Via a booking site, I always state my needs, eg whether I'm arriving early, etc. In most cases, these requests seem to be ignored by the hotels, and so I have to mention them again upon arrival. For this hotel, they didn't ignore the request. We requested for early check-in, not expecting too much, as we arrived Paris a little past 8am, and just hoped for a bit earlier than normal check-in time. We already planned to just drop our bags first, have breakfast, a bit of sightseeing and go back to hotel for an earlier check-in. We were very delighted that upon arrival we were told that our room is ready so we can rest after our long trip ! The reception is also very warm, I always like staff who are smiling, and they helped us with our bags. And best of all, our room was upgraded ! Location wise, the hotel is very near the metro, and also just about 10 minutes walk to La Fayette Galeries, and Opera. It's about 20 minutes walk to Louvre. The surrounding of the hotel is quiet as it's near office buildings, but still easy to move around because of the metro. There's a very nice small restaurant at ground floor which prepares fresh pizza in less than 10 min, and many other restaurants around. The best thing about this hotel are the staff -- they're all very warm and very accommodating, and knows our needs.

For Paris Hotels this one is one of the best for nice stay. Location is exsellent, its near the Opera Area and u can easly get center , go for shopping to Galerie Lafayet or Printeps... Rooms are clean and with free wi-fi,breakfast good enough for not to stay hungry. Staf is very friendly. That was bissiness trip and i've stayed in many hotels before, but now I know that bissiness trip or vocation with family our choice will be this hotel.

Our first time at Paris was wonderful! Our stay at BW Premier Opera Liege, was awesome! The staffs are super friendly, the room (most importantly the washroom) is super clean and quiet! We're offered a portable wifi, which is so helpful when trying to find places around us!! In addition, the Metro is a one min walk from the hotel and 15 mins walk to Galerie Lafayette. What you see is what you get. Great value. I will stay here again for my next Paris visit. Thank you.

I was delighted we booked this hotel. The rooms were incredibly quiet, clean + beds were comfortable, perfect for my mum + sisters. Facilities in the hotel are very basic but that didn't make a difference to us. One touch I really liked was the provision of all kinds of water from a machine and hard sweets free of charge. The location is very good in the opera district bad beside the shops. Staff were helpful when needed. My mum and sister had breakfast there one morning. My mum was happy as it was simple and very basic as she wanted. My sister was less impressed and I was glad the two of had not wasted €15 each. We ate in a restaurant right beside the hotel recommended by the receptionist which was really lived and very casual. A few things they could improve on is their hotel booking system, in particular the very useless IM chat. Also I emailed for help beforehand and the response was unhelpful.The hotel is lacking a personal touch.

The hotel is well located in the 9th district, within walking distance of the Opera in one direction and Moulin Rouge in the other direction. The nearest Metro station is only a couple of hundred metres, allowing easy access to the whole city. The rooms are beautifully finished with all the amenities that you need. Even though my room was on the 1st floor facing the street the area was not noisy at night. The breakfast has a good variety of food, all fresh and high quality. The main feature that sets this hotel apart is the staff. They were simply lovely. They gave me plenty of advice on where to go, things to see and how to get there (and, since it's Paris, how long you may have to queue to get in). And always greeted me with a warm 'bonjour' when I staggered back to the hotel after a day of sightseeing. I cannot rate this hotel too highly. I would recommend it to any travelers visiting Paris who want a warm, comfortable place to stay that allows easy access to the city's attractions.

The location is great for the metro and there’s a big car park about 200m along the road. Though not cheap to park, it beats driving everywhere and worrying about the time limits on the nearby roads. We felt safe walking around in the evenings and walked to the sacre coer and sat on the steps watching the sun set and listening to a French man on his guitar, it was fab! Breakfast was served at the hotel but we were never up in time! The most special thing about this hotel is it’s roof terrace which gives you a great view of Paris. So much so, we didn’t bother going up the Eiffel Tower for the view! Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean. They provide towels and body wash and shampoo in one. We will definitely return, thank you.

As part of our honeymoon stay, we found timhotel opera blanche Fontaine to be excellently located and secure. On arrival the staff were very friendly and we were surprised to find a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine with ice bucket in our room. There were also complimentary can of juice, Coke, Sprite, water and beer in the mini fridge. The room itself was large for Paris but a little dated. The view was poor but expected for the location. The bathroom was nice and the free products of a decent standard and restocked daily. Breakfast each morning was of a reasonable standard. I enjoyed the free croissants and Pain au chocolat. Overall I would stay again at this hotel and would recommend it mainly for it's convenient location and friendly staff.

So me and my girlfriend stayed at Diva Opera for three nights a few weeks ago. The location of the hotel is great, just a few hundred meters from the nearest metro station that makes it easy and convenient to travel around the city. We had a terrific room on the top floor with not one, but two lovely french balconies. The room was exceptionally clean and cozy, even though i was rather small. The bed was supercomfy and everything you need is included in the room. The staff was very helpful and kind, especially Fransesca, who helped us with practically everything. She speaks fluent english and gave us really good information on how to get from the hotel to different locations. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the layed back and down-to-earth, yet professional attitude, towards the customers. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Its cheap and really offers a whole lot for your money. Would definitely go again. Br. Ville and Eve

Cosy’s provides a friendly little home in middle of Paris 9th Nice apartment accommodation in a great location. The rooms are very spacious by Parisian standards, very well designed studios with kitchen and living area. The location is marvelous along a charming little pedestrian street with cafes on each corner and all you need for a good French snack or meal at your room: a few bakeries, 2 wine shops, 2 butcher stores, fruits and vegetables shops, and a few different style delis. The very functional kitchen and these shops around you can make your stay a gourmet experience without a hole in your pocket. It is especially handy when travelling with small children, who might fall asleep in the middle of the dinner. My new favorite home in Paris.

This is best ever accomodation after lots of sleepless night research! Silly me only found out the best way to get here from gare du nord,which I failed to see from website/blogs. We took the complicated way to avoid the notorious chatelet/les halles metro. It was hilariously back breaking pushing /tagging our huge luggage up down steep stairs. Paris station lacks facilities. One thing I learnt- parisian men aren't helpful-no one offered to help with luggage! compared to the English gentlemen! There were alays offering help at every tube stairs! So all of you vacationers, best way to get here is... Take st lazare haussmann from gare du nord! It takes you right there, no stairs to struggle with!Other sites only mentioned auber/opera/havre caumartin. I got room 303 a studio unit, facing pharmacie/C&A/street view. You can also opt for courtyard view which is quieter. But , hey ,it 's gay paree! You live in midst of everything. Location is great, everything is around you. Staffs were marvellous &helpful. Lucille was there most of the time during our stay. But they speak English well, no worries, though I tried to practise my french! Kitchen was well equipped, monoprix is round the corner. We cooked most meals, enjoyed ourselves. It was a gratifying &enjoyable stay for us. Will definitely be back!

Cute hotel in the 9th, very walkable and close to metro. Front desk was always very helpful and also spoke English which I appreciate because my French is not the best. My only complaint is that the walls were extremely thin and unfortunately I was able to hear everything going on in the rooms next to me.. including the couple who perhaps were on their honeymoon if you know what I mean. Very uncomfortable. Other than that I enjoyed my stay here.

Location, location! So close to The Opera, Les Grands Magasins, the Louvres and much more. We had a room overlooking the garden, not a great view but so quiet. So if you want the Parisian feel ask for a room looking at the street but be prepare for some noise. The breakfast was lovely, egg on order, great omelet. The staff were very polite and helpful. They helped us get ticket for a soccer game. It will be my prefer address for sure when visiting Paris.

The hotel is great. The staff was always helpful, always ready to offer a drink, while you are waiting to check in, or even after I've checked out. The rooms, though tiny, are very well appointed, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is superb and overall the rooms are just chic. At the basement, the hammam is worth a try after a tiring day, just be sure to inform the front desk so they can get it ready. The location couldn't be more perfect, tucked inside a quiet part of Place de Clichy area, with 2 metro stations less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel, serving lines 2 and 13. It makes going around the city that much faster. It is also close to the major shopping areas, the Opera and Moulin Rouge. All within as 10 to 15 minute walk from the hotel. There are groceries, a variety of restaurants and take away food places all around the hotel, and if you really must, there are American fast food joints within a few minutes walk too.

Our aim for a hotel in Paris for my partner’s birthday was to be one that is memorable, unusual, beautifully adorned, rococo (Frenchy?) and not too expensive. the inclusion of balcony with a marvellous view of Sacré-Cœur, a Jacuzzi bath and close proximity of Moulin Rouge made the whole experience one of our very favourites! The area is one to 'experience Paris by night', only a short, rewarding stroll up to Montmartre. This was one of our favourite places of Paris, Place du Tertre, a small square of restaurants with a gathering of artists and fun life-loving musicians. Eating/drinking here you won't be disappointed. Great to then walk back down the hill to the hotel at the end of the night. All the staff were very helpful and polite, Pierluigi (hope I have spelt the name right!) was so lovely and could not do enough to accommodate. Suggesting fantastic restaurants right down to helping us with our flight check-in tickets! This is the place to go, we will love to return here soon!

Location is perfect! Only a few minutes to the metro station and there are many restaurants and cafes nearby. Also not far from Opera Garner and Galeries Lafayette. The room is so nice! The wifi is fast and every room is capacious. The staff is so nice and patient! It is a pity that we just stay here for one day and we will choose here again for the next time in Paris. Highly recommend!

The Hotel Du Temps is a nice little boutique hotel located about two stops away from Gare du Nord. It is also walkable from the station itself. On a good weather, you could easily walk to Sacre Coeur or the Louvre from the hotel. Galeries du Lafayette is just way down the road. The hotel uses Aesop toiletries and is elegantly furnished. The toilet and shower worked fine but the bedside lights were down though. Breakfast is steeply priced I feel, for a continental offering : a portion of baguette, a croissant or pain au chocolat, coffee or tea and a variety of jams as well as butter. Those were good jams though. However, I recommend heading out for breakfast instead if you are looking for something more substantial or a better value-for-money option . The service varies but is generally okay. The night shift receptionist I encountered was more friendly and engaging compared to the people I encountered in the day.

We had original booked elsewhere but decided we needed to move after the first night. My daughter found the hotel as we wished to be near to Montmartre as visiting my cousin. What a gem of a find! The staff were amazingly supportive and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. Very boutique feel to the hotel. Not too. If either but everything we needed and very clean. Refreshments each afternoon and lovely breakfast. My sister has booked to stay there in August as we had such a good time. Also they have Air Conditioning!

Came across the hotel on Agoda with a very reasonable price of 69 euros per night. Photos looked good and the location was great in the trendy 9th with hip restaurants in the neighborhood, good access to 2 metro stations and easy walking distance to central Paris landmarks and shops. Loved the theatrical theme to the hotel decoration. Breakfast was good at a reasonable price. Very easy to relax in the lounge area over lots of croissants, french bread et al. Evening free champagne time is a great touch, too! Will definitely stay there again when I visit Paris. Overall, staff were super, duper friendly.

The room was tiny but we could expect having a palace especially in Paris. The bed was comfy though. The bathroom was a little bit awkward as a layout as the toilet was right to the sink. Staff was nice and helpful. The location was perfect, few minutes to metro Grands Boulevard and all walking distance from opera, republic, le Louvre.... Direct line too to Trocadero for the Eiffel Tower. The area has very great restaurants and little coffee shops. We tried the crepe shop around the corner; they have lovely savoury and sweet crepes and waffles and ice cream and milkshakes were yummy. Overall we had a nice stay and boyfriend enjoyed his first trip to Paris.

Really enjoyed the stay of a couple of nights in an interesting hotel building. It was clean throughout and the standard room was fairly well appointed and comfortable with minimal noise from outside. While just within the verge of being a little too far for a quick walk to the main department stores like Galeries Lafayette and Printemps (if you are in shopping mode and have to make a few visits back and forth to drop off shopping) it nonetheless was good value for money all things considered. Breakfast was good value too with comfortable seating and layout. All the staff were friendly and helped to make it an easy stay. The only 'be aware' is the standard room I was in didn't have a fridge or coffee making facilty, so being the thirsty in the middle of the night type I had to go across to the local grocery for a couple of bottles of juice.

Here are the reasons: LOCATION It's next to the Pigalle Metro Station. So going around Paris had never been problem. From Gare Du Nord with taxi was only less than 10 minutes. The beautiful Montmartre and Sacre Coeur is within 15 mins walk. To shopping area in Boulevard Haussmann was only 20 mins walk. Nice & cozy cafes, bistros and restaurants are plenty around the hotel. ROOM Like most hotels in Paris, the room was quite small. But very well arranged. With 2 big luggages still can move around inside the room conveniently. Everything was always clean. Bed sheets and towels felt clean and smelled good. Carpet felt clean - vacuumed everyday. Full amneities everyday (basic like coffees, teas, sugars, etc). STAFF AND FACILITIES Staffs were extremely helpful. The duty manager - was very attentive since we arrived until we left. Everyone are helpful with all our needs. The lobby and the restaurant where the breakfast is served were very cozy. Enjoyed every minutes of the stay.
