I visited the Poseidon hotel with my family as a child and returned on my honeymoon. My husband was just as awe struck as I was visiting years ago. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. There's always a staff nearby, and they're extremely forthcoming in providing recommendations, booking reservations, or finding you the best options for boat tours in Capri. The location is ideal and has the best view. I personally found the food at this hotel better than a few restaurants we tried in town which were on the Michelson guide. It's understated elegance with Italian charm. The rooms/ venue is spotless with modern showers/bathrooms. We were in a "standard room", and the view overlooked a garden with a balcony--It was stunning. The breakfast is included and it was fantastic as was the wi-fi (which was very fast). My husband and I will return for years. We're also fans of air bnb and Le Sirenuse, but I'd pay for this experience every time. It's honestly that magical.

Stayed here for 4 nights and we loved it here. Had a superb view of the sea with our own private balcony. There are many excellent restaurants located near the hotel, most notably Next2, Il Forlino and Cafe Positano. The room is fairly spacious but you can hear your next door neighbours when they speak and when the TV is switched on. Special mention to Tony, the hotel manager for his great hospitality and funny personality. overall our stay here was very good except for the noise from inconsiderate neighbours.

This really is a lovely hotel. Just tucked away from the main hustle and bustle but within easy walking distance to the town,so great location. The staff were very helpful and always friendly. The view from the terrace is wonderful and breakfast and evening drinks here were perfect. The room was adequate and had good aircon. We gave facilities 3 stars purely because of the lack of a pool and that the hotel "beach" was smaller than we thought and booking a sunbed was not always guaranteed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay however and would definitely recommend and go back.

The staff were definitely the best part of my experience at the hotel. Everyone was so welcoming upon arrival and departure and made me feel like family. Our room was immaculate with a direct view of the sea and a private pool on the terrace. The stay was made seamless with easy reservations and recommendations from the concierge. Thank you, staff at the Villa Marina Capri! I will be back.

We stayed at the Convento during the last week of the season. It's position in Amalfi gives it commanding views over the coastal town, and every room has a sea view. Although the hotel is only 500m away from Amalfi centre, you either need to time your visits around the shuttle bus, or be prepared for a steep descent by stairs on the opposite side of the road - a torch at night is recommended! We stayed in a standard room, and it was spacious, light and airy, with minimalist furnishing. The bathroom has top quality fixtures and fittings. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in, and the pilows were high quality - a good nights sleep is guaranteed! A good quality, wall mounted TV with a Skymovie channel was an added bonus. A couple of downsides to the room - no tea/coffee making facilities - something that might surprise British guests. There is also no iron, and it is hotel policy not to provide one. There is a laundry/pressing service but it is very expensive. Hotel staff kindly arranged to steam a couple of items for us as a courtesy gesture which was appreciated as we were attending a wedding. Breakfast was amazing - every requirement was catered for- cereal, muesli, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cooked breakfast, fresh cheese and cold cuts, a range of fresh breads, cakes and pastries, fruit juice and free flowing prosecco if you so desired! The best breakfast selection I've ever experienced. Relaxing on the terrace either during the day or at night is just a lovely experience - plenty of comfy sofas, and great views. The bar prices are expensive, so we tended to have only a night cap when returning from the town. The mini bar in the room is also expensive, particularly for soft drinks at 6€ each. All in all, we enjoyed every aspect of our stay - the staff and service were all excellent and we'd have no hesitation recommending it to others.

Charming spacious room with friendly helpful staff. It was located close to the train station, swimming area/beach and several restaurants. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. Decent water pressure in the shower and good bathroom lighting. The only con was the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room but even so it was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in and would definitely go back

AMAZING staff at the hotel. My husband and I were at a total loss when we left one of our bags in the cab after check out, when we were dropped off at the train station. The bag contained our passports amongst other things. You could imagine our panic! When we phoned the hotel, the staff who picked up immediately tried to calm us down and then she spent the next 30 mins calling around various cab companies trying to hunt down the cab driver. We thought it was a lost cause but when we called back, she gave us the good news that she had found the driver and had arranged for him to return to the station with our bag! In our rush, we did not get the name of the lady staff who helped us but we would like to thank her from the bottom of our hearts for what she did for us. She could have easily chosen to not to help us, but instead, she pulled off a miracle! All the other staff from reception to housekeeping were most friendly and accommodating during our stay. We also loved our room and how spacious and modern it was. Breakfast was a healthy spread and the view from the terrace is amazing. Location wise, it is not far from all the cool spots Naples has to offer. Will definitely recommend this place to couples looking for a lovely hotel in Naples.

Wasn't expecting this good quality for around 60 GBP! The away team Borussia Dortmund stayed here which was a surprise! Was staying in Napoli to watch a Champions League match,location right next to the Stadio San Paolo! Great staffs,nice outdoor breakfast area! But wifi was not the best,only in the lobby and the connection was not good. For beach and seaside,2 metro stations away from the hotel. Far from the centrale station.

I booked this hotel because of my interest in GioPonti. Very pleased that hotel has preserved his design exactly. I had a great stay: enjoyed the large campus (pool/beach/terraces/gardens) and the high level of attention/service from the staff. The facilities are very clean, and the staff amazingly helpful: Fabio and Michela went above-and-beyond to see that I had a great experience at the hotel and in Positano/Naples. When I realized I needed to print my Ferry ticket, Fabio took care of it immediately then followed up by email. Positano and other towns are a short trip away, and the hotel offers proximity to without all the crowds. The campus is serene, beautiful and feels empty given the size of the property. The complimentary breakfast is very good—there’s an abundance of foods offered. The pool is gorgeous, amd the level of service here and at the beach is wonderful. My only negative feedback: the gym could use more equipment. For a hotel of this level it should have more.

We usually stay in 5 star hotel, as all were fulled booked we choose this one from reviews. It didn’t disappoint . Very friendly and patience staff. They gave us a lot of attention and book good restaurants and boat trip For us. They gave us lots of suggestions on what to do during the day . The room was very comfortable and clea.n. Very charming breakfast. It was a lovely stay.

Upon arrival the hotel didn’t seem much - you are dropped off at a lay-by just outside of Positano but don’t let that put you off! Everything about this hotel is stunning.. each room has a balcony with sea view, every member of staff could not be more helpful! They remember the tiniest things about you e.g the first night I said I was gluten free - when I turned up to breakfast the next morning two staff came up to me and told me they had a special table with gf food for me. The setting is spectacular and rather nice because it’s veru difficult for anyone not staying in the hotel to get in and use the facilities. Giuseppe by the pool was an absolute star, catered to our every need and always on hand for whatever we wanted. Only thing is I wouldn’t recommend if you get tired walking easily or have sold legs knees as you need to walk up and down stairs for where ever you want to get to. Apart from that absolute perfect stay for us, we will be back!

Very difficult to fault this hote so I'll nitpick a little! Internet was not great and if you're there during the colder months, there's no heating in the rooms. Everything else was lovely. The hotel is all new inside from the lobby downstairs, two great lounges, a bar, the rooms and the breakfast restaurant upstairs. The cleanest place I've stayed in for a very long time, bedroom, bathroom were both impeccable, and the service was spot on. Location suited me, 10 minute stroll into the main city area full of shops and restaurants. I had a corner suite with great views up to the top of the hills and of course over the Bay of Naples. Enjoyed my stay at Regina.

Hotel Conca d'ora is run by a very special group of people, who make their guests feel very welcome. We travelled to Positano to celebrate a 'big birthday', and the hotel was one of the best parts of our stay. From willing, responsive and cheerful staff, to a lovely room with beautiful views over the town and the Mediterranean beyond, this hotel surprised at every turn. On the day of the birthday, the staff very kindly arranged birthday cake and beautiful flowers, which they brought out with subtle fanfare when we went for breakfast. We never found out who made the cake, but it was delicious! We also passed relaxing hours on our private balcony, drinking coffee and prosecco (although not at the same time), reading and watching the ebb and flow of life on land and on the water. Having this private space was invaluable.

We stayed here 14/10 to 21/10/17. My partner had previously stayed at this hotel but it was my first visit so I could confirm if Sorrento is where to have our wedding next year. Luigi greeted us at the reception desk upon our arrival and we were very quickly settled into our room. All the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful with any questions we had. The location of Hotel Eden couldn't be better, being just a short walk from the station even walking round to the main entrance. There is a side door opening onto Corsa Italia just 200metres from Piaza Tasso with all its many bars and restaurants making for a vibrant nightlife. Marina Piccalo is but a short walk either down the steps at the edge of the piaza or via the lift and pathway down. Breakfast was very adequate with a large choice of meats, breads cereals and fruit. you could also enjoy hot scrambled eggs from the buffet menu. The pool area was clean and is serviced from the hotel bar for snacks and drinks. It was rather dirty on our arrival but we had endured very high winds to account for so many leaves etc in t he pool. It was soon cleaned although is unheated and cold for the time of year. on the negative a little shaded in the mornings. Our room was on the forth floor. It was adequately furnished, clean and bright with such excellent views of the Bay of Naples and Mnt Versuvius in the background clearly visible from our bed. The bed was a little hard but very comfortable once used to that. Bedding however was a little tired being in excess of three years old (photos showed it to be exactly the same bedding on my partners previous visit in 2013). The maid service was friendly and timely most days. They did not however renew any bedding during our 7 day stay leaving sheets etc looking very crumpled by the last few days of our stay. The room could do with a small table so you have somewhere to put a glass of wine as you take in the spectacular views from the balcony at those time you like to complet

Hotel located at a bit upside of the town but the staffs were so welcoming and attentive - helped us with luggage and parking every time we needed. Especially, Mario at the reception was so kind. Our stay included breakfast and lunch and it seemed it was not communicated well with the restaurant but he directly talked to the restaurant and solved issue immediately. During our stay, reception knew what we needed and, before asking, they always offered us things such as wifi connection, parking, luggage carrying and etc.

I came here for a conference but I wish I had a few more days to unwind in this simple yet functional resort. The rooms and amenities are basic but that is because the main attraction is the pool and outside activities. In retrospect I should have rented a car because getting here from the airport and from down town Napoli costs always double the meter fare: so 100 Euros each way! It is also 20 minutes walk from the nearest restaurant and shops, which is a nice walk if it's not too hot, which it always is in the summer, and their restaurant closes between 3 and 7 which is strange for a hotel.

We stayed at La Residenza for 3 nights and have to say really enjoyed our time there and recommend it and would come back again as it was great value for money. Positives: -the use of the pool located a couple of minutes walk through the hotels garden - the garden is very well kept and a lovely addition - the staff are very helpful especially the manager and Stella at reception - beds very comfortable albeit being slightly hard - bedroom and bathroom good size - balcony - the 5 star restaurant was probably our favourite restaurant to dine at in sorrento great views on the verandah and food was delicious and staff extremely helpful. - the terrace at the five star hotel is very nice for relaxing after the meal with added bonus of entertainment at night. Could improve: - breakfast was ok; good selection of cakes but it lacked variety of other food types - the hotel could do with a few design adjustments: Exterior paint work Soundproofing in bedrooms

The room facing the seafront is gorgeous but not the one facing the other hotel. Was disappointed not to have free bottle of water on the 2nd day onwards, how much would it cost to have given it free since we are staying at a suite cost E300 a night. Within walking distance to many seafood restaurants but it was quite far within the main attraction at the town area. Room is too hot, we have to open the window for some cool air even at winter. Overall is a fine stay.

I booked the last 4 nights of our trip to Italy in Salerno due to a few factors, we needed to get to Rome for international flights and the train station is literally cross the road, but say 10 min walk, and also because it seemed cheaper than a lot of other places on the Amalfi coast. Im glad i made the decision!! Despite reading it is set up mostly for conferences, ( and there werw two huge ones during our stay), that didnt impact at all on us, our room was far away from any noise, and there was plenty of seating at breakfast (which was included, which was a surprise) We ended up finding an infomation counter which helped us with a lot of things like the 3 day bus pass for 16 euro, which went all the way up to sorrento. We did a few trips aroud the coast, it took 1.15hrs to get to amalfi, and the bus ride wasnt for the faint hearted! but after realising how isolated the coast was I was glad to retuen to salerno for more options for dinners, supermarkets etc. Its the only hotel I have been to in the world where youre required to wear a bathing cap. Which you can purchase from them, but the strange thing is it was material, not rubber/latex, so apart from the novelty factor for me I couldnt quite work it out! Our superior seaview room was spacious, and uninterruoted sea views, but if I had a choice I would opt for a balcony, ours had a ranch slider, but its so nice there in the evenings you want to be able to park up and enjoy the sunsets! We makeshift our own with the room chairs, but not quite the same! Helpful staff with maps etc of the town. Great hotel for the end of our holiday

Pros- a lot of amenities, beautiful views, close to a fantastic beach, location to shops restaurants and a bus stop is top notch. You can rent scooters from the front desk which I recommend for ease of seeing the island at your own pace. The staff is fantastic and I couldn’t have felt more welcome. There is plenty to do and see so we were never bored the whole week and would definitely return. Cons- there really aren’t any. The breakfast is pretty much the same every morning with changes to the fruit. I think another review mentioned that but that didn’t bother me it was good anyway. It would be nice if the hotel offered beach kits for rent (beach mat, towels and umbrella) the free beach is nice but if you don’t have a kit you’ll end up renting an umbrella and chairs. So pack your own beach stuff. The hotel should have hand towels in the gym area and install a fan as it gets hot down there. Just small suggestions, had an awesome time and will definitely return!

Beyond our expectations - this hotel was wonderful! From the moment we entered we felt pampered and welcome. A big relief to see our room was modern, clean, spacious, quiet and luxurious. The staff made every effort to pamper us with excellent service. They all spoke English very well. Enzo (who ran the front desk) was the most helpful guide, giving us advice on local attractions, restaurants, day trips and tips to navigate throughout Naples. The only drawback was the neighborhood the hotel is situated in. It's conveniently located near the Centrale Train station but in a run down dirty part of town. It was difficult to locate so we had to call a few times for guidance. We were not approached by strangers lingering about and did not feel unsafe, it was just not a nice area of Naples. Once inside the hotel we forgot all about the surroundings. We could not wait to be back every evening! The food was excellent and the dining room terrace cozy, the housekeepers & staff attentive and quick to respond to every detail. The biggest surprise was that this was the least expensive hotel we stayed in during our 12 day, 5 city trip, yet it offered the most for the money! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to use it as a home base for exploring the Amalfi Coast - Naples, Capri, the islands, Sorrento, etc. Naples is a short boat or train trip to many local options and a pleasant (with the best shopping) city to visit.
