charming place, ticked all the boxes,however a little expensive.Rooms were a little small but very clean and well maintained.Had room which shared a sea view balcony with room. this was great value as compared to having a sea view from your own balcony.The other party was hardly ever home when we wanted to use the balcony....alternatively you can meet some good friends this way. Reception people very friendly and caring and helped out where possible. Spoke good English . Good on site parking and plenty of free parking around Hotel. Good location to surrounding supermarket and bread shops and nice walk into town and restaurant district. Good seafood restaurant next door and good restaurants 750 metres up the road towards the Point. Beware of Pam Beach price restaurant (hatted) but must have good hat under erroneous circumstances. try l'Altru Versu (must better and beautiful food.

I spent two single nights here, a week apart, in December. The long, sandy beach 250 m away still gives the place a relaxed ambience and the staff certainly seem happy to be working there. Out of season the Campo dell'Oro is outstanding value for money and the restaurant, though more expensive, is worth the extra. Highly recommended. Just one note: I've seen (and heard) 15 minutes quoted to reach the airport on foot, but I'd give it 20-30.

Excellent. On arrival we wre given an upgrade to a very superior room - large with a great bathroom as well. Wonderful view across the bay to Calvi. Too cold to try the pool but it looked very nice. We paid for the half board option on arrival. The dinner was described as 'gastronomique' and truly was. Lost count of the courses but all in a totally different class of anything else we have had in Corsica. Impeccable service by waiting staff. Breakfast was excellent with huge choice. Will save up to come back!

Rooms are basic, but well laid out. Bathroom/shower is modern and spacious. Docked 1 star on cleanliness for the use of carpet in hallways/rooms (despite the hotel being brand new). Location is great if you are flying through Bastia as it is near the airport. Also, it is conveniently located near a large supermarket. Re: facilities, despite having a hammam and a sauna, both didn't appear to work when we were staying over which was a bummer.

We had booked a two-room appartment for six. On arrival the reception was closed and there was no key for us. After calling the emergency phone for 20 minutes, Cedril came out (he was already there) an pretended the booking was for the following day. After showing him the confirmation he has sent he pretended he didn't understand. Then he gave us a key an disappeared. The appartment he gave us was a one-bedroom appartment. We called him again and he said he didn't have anything else for us and started blaiming Agoda. We had no other option than having two kids sleeping in the kitchen in a sofa bed an the other one on the floor. We called Agoda, they tried to find us another accommodation unsuccessfully. They offered to change our booking and giving some money back and a 100 USD boucher. We said we'd deal with it after the holiday. They changed the booking without our confirmation. So far no money has been returned to us and we have no compensation either.

We really enjoyed the location of the hotel as it was right in the downtown area of Ajaccio. We were within walking distance to and from everything - shops, restaurants, bars, marina, beach, etc. The staff were very helpful and friendly; we definitely appreciated the free upgrade to a sea-side room. The room itself was clean; loved the balcony/terrace area. The room was comfortable, but not very spacious; it was definitely suitable for us though. In comparison to other hotel options and given its location, the price for the hotel was reasonable. We also enjoyed having free wi-fi access in our room. There is a really large parking lot in front of the hotel for minimal fee - no more than 4 euros a day. Though, it is important to note that spots do fill up. Overall, we had a very good stay!

We stayed at Casa Alta for two nights. Our bedroom was small and simple, but adequate. The bathroom is very small – if you are over 6’ 6” check it out to see if you will fit! Breakfast is simple, juice, yogurt, bread and coffee, but the bread is very fresh (it is nice to wake up to the smell of freshly baking bread). There are three friendly cats in residence. Vincent is a wonderful host, attentive to the comfort of his guests and very helpful with information about the area. It was very unseasonably cold and wet when we were there in late May, so we were not able to enjoy the forest trails, but Corte is a short drive and a nice place to spend a day (and being lower it was much warmer). There are three restaurants close by – the one at the railroad station provides adequate food and local color. The one at the hotel up the hill is quite good.

Very comfortable room with added extras including, mini bar and fridge, drink making facilities. Great view of the sea, good size room, luxury bathroom. This was just a standard room and provided lots of extras. The breakfast was a good selection, the waitress who provided our breakfast was always smiling and helpful. She also did reception as well. In fact all the staff were very helpful and friendly. The location, just across from the beach was ideal and also free use of the sun beds and brollies was very useful. We would definitely return to this hotel.

This hotel, although very basic, suited our requirements, close to (or in) the centre of Bastia, close to the Bastia railway station to Ajaccio, our next destination. Our room on the first floor had a window looking down the small street opposite to the big community park and the sea, the street on which the hotel is situated was very busy all night and noisy, our only respite was to close the external shutters, the windows and then the heavy curtains and turn the airconditioner on ( after adjustment it was very effective). The bathroom and shower were spartan but satisfactory. The bed was comfy.

Hostellerie de l’Abbaye is conveniently located close to the older part of Calvi. The outside of the building has a pleasing older ambience, while the interior is fully modern. The bedroom and bathroom are good sized. There is plenty of hot water for the bath or shower (note that there is no shower curtain on the tub, so showers are sit-down affairs). We did not try the breakfast, since we did not want the buffet in the breakfast, and we did not want a continental breakfast in our room. However there are a number of places close by that serve fresh pastries and coffee.

Hotel Napoleon is a perfectly acceptable 3 star hotel. It has a more intimate atmosphere than the average chain hotel. Its just off one of the main shopping streets and all the sights are in comfortable walking distance. Plenty of places for breakfast nearby. Staff were friendly and accommodating although they still expect you to try to communicate in French! There were steps to drag our luggage up on the floor our room was on,
