Goa State hotels & places to stay

The Leela at Goa, has to be one of the best luxury property we've stayed at. Sprawled over 75 acres; there was never a dull moment for us, even though we went for a quiet, relaxing holiday to recharge our batteries from the tired, city life. The staff at Leela, as one would expect are polite and very attentive to our needs. The pool area was our main stay during our time there and the bar right next to the pool made for an a very relaxed swim. Our room overlooked the lagoon with its own balcony and we had some lovely quiet mornings looking out into the peace with a cup of tea each. When in need of just getting out of the room, we would just go out for a long walk in the property or around the spice garden they have on their property itself. All in all, we would surely go back and would love to see the property in its full glory during the winters, which is when it opens up its beach due to the start of the peak season. Though we would like to reiterate, we went there for a quiet relaxed break. If you like a busy nightlife and prefer a town bristling with activity, the north Goa would be your ideal choice.

before going to Goa, we heard a lot of bad experiences from our friend that the hotel where they stayed not as they expected and their holiday become unpleasent experience. While we were searching, we still have this worry and it still have that until we arrived in the hotel. First thing that make our worried slowly dissapear that the hotel design was beautiful starting from the lobby, where friendly hotel staff helping us a lot on taking care our luggages, offering welcome drink, all the check in paper work done while we sitting relax in comfortable sofa. Then we were pleased more when we saw our room which very comfortable with good design and well maintain bath room with power shower, and located strategically in front off swimming pool where we can watch our kids playing in the pool just 10 steps in front of us. The hotel have good garden with kids playground facility and best of all it's next to the beach which very clean, beautiful sunset, and the sand was so soft. Other thing we like was the japanese restaurant which serving good teppanyaki. Some other thing that could be improved further were location of kids club, would be good if located outside hotel employee working zone, more variaty of non-indian food in waterfall restaurant buffet lunch & dinner, and safety concern of falling coconut to the swimming pool. Overall we were very pleased with our holiday in Zuri White Sand Resort Goa, it's actually beyond our expectation. Thanks.

We planned to have a relaxed trip and Goa was suitable place. We choose to stay at north Goa at this property as it is close to Condolim beach and clam place. We booked superior type the rooms were spacious, well maintained & has balcony to relax. The pool was close but occupied by foreigners for the sun bath. Coming to food, the compliment break fast has good spread & delicious. They have activity room but not that big(in terms of no. of activities) and this need to be improved b'cose the rooms stinks and u can only play carom board & table tennis. Coming to transportation, we hired two wheeler which next door to the hotel and was roaming around as the beaches & other sightseeing are in 5-7 KM u can cover Candolim, Calangute, Baga beaches and fort Aguada as well the dolphin boat sightseeing. The receiption person help in arranging the cab for the drop to the airport. The only thing is transportation to be taken care. Overall, We had good time & the hotel is fabulous & I do recommend.

This was my 3rd visit to Goa, and everytime I used to stay in North Goa near Baga beach. But this time I decided to give South Goa a try, as their beaches and the water are supposed to be cleaner. The location of this resort is good, about 15kms from the Goa Airport, not too far in the South. The rooms are excellent, although I think they were a bit dimly lit. The Staff is excellent. I was there with my parents for my birthday, and they gave us a complimentary birthday cake. :) Would like to give a special mention to Niushka at the reception desk. We arrived way too early before our check in time, but she got us accommodated in our rooms in no time. She was very friendly. All the staff are really nice people. The resort is located close to the Uttorda beach, which is nice and clean. There is only one more resort connected to the beach, so its not really crowded, which I liked it. The Swimming pool is amazing, has a pool bar, and looks amazing in the night with the blue leds inside it. Although i wished the Jacuzzi was bit more powerful :) The Breakfast buffet is one of the best. Try to get a deal which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets, since I didn't like much the a-la-carte menu. They have 2 more bars inside, and the beers are priced at reasonable rates. Although I went in monsoons, and all the water sports was closed, It was a peaceful vacation for us, a perfect getaway. I would rate it 8/10, because I wished they had a bar and a restaurant at the beach, even in monsoons, which is what most people would love it. If you don't have your own car here, then you would probably have to take taxi from outside the hotel, since there is no other public transport available. The Taxi rates from this hotel are bit more on the high, 3500 Rs for 80 kms with 6hrs of cap. and 4000 Rs for 120 kms with 8hrs of cap. But hey its Goa, a touristic place, so it will be expensive everywhere :) Overall a perfect getaway place. And if you're lucky you might even spot few bol

We only had about 36 hours in Goa and wanted a hotel that was in the older part of town. The Crown Goa Hotel is a charming hotel, that is located on top of a hill so it has sweeping views of the river and the town below. It was surprisingly quiet. The staff were excellent. We had breakfast included and it was very good. They have a nice pool, so you can cool down during the day. We did not go to any of the beaches. But we did visit the sites, the market and the church, everything is easily reachable.

Reception staff very courtious assisted with early checkin Restaurant Mr.Rohit very understanding helpful to our needs Chef Mr.Rajdeep available all time serving delicious Goa dishes..missed Goa sea food on menu of buffetI ordered at additional cost ..Food Bill's while checkout just shocked me..Some.items exp Room service takes time but were committed to their standards Swimming pool was the only issue.Bit small when you have lots of people in...less room for small child as curves makes it small having sharp edges to get hurt.water quality I found not much hygenically clean.Many pools of all star categories have chlorine smell in water wether gas or powder chlorine treatment..but this pool water though looks clean has pecùlar smell.. Many people from corporate and local families coming on cheap daily brunch or package were seen in pool.almost for 2 to 3 hours but never came out to use washrooms.. its not hotels fault but quality of people using pool kept us away most of the days.

The Resort is like a dream. This Hotel is like a Paradise. It’s new and luxury resort. It has free wifi in all the Hotel and the Parks. We were very well received by very very friendly and polite. 10 Points !!! help us a lot and made our stay in the hotel memorable and we’re super-grateful. Breakfast are 10 Points ! decorated the room with some amazing towel statues and cleaned the room excellent. 10 Points !!! super friendly and polite in the Salon Vip. 10 Points !!! Resort Activities Manager was our Tourist Guide in Goa and in the North of India. We never forget our talks with Nora, always very educated, very friendly and she speaks a lot of languages. We Had a memorable experience with Grand Hyatt Goa. Grand Hyatt Hotel Goa was amazing !!! We recommended it a lot. !!!

I was looking for 3 rooms online and I hav to choose the best as we were coming here to celebrate my brother in Laws anniversiry. I was getting a lovely deal From agoda so I booked 3 cozy rooms...wen we landed goa and were on the way to hotel the taxi driver scared Us by saying that the road to our resort is little disturbed...I got worried but as we reached the resort the first word which my brother in law said was "marvelous" We recieved a very warm welcome by the staff and they were very polite freindly and supportive.we were worried that how we gonna arrange a cab to go baga beach, then our hotel staff informed us that the pick up and drop is complimentary from the hotel. Our rooms were like villa and were sooooo beautiful and romantic..we enjoyed hukkah in our balcony..lights during the night outside was making the hotel looks sexy... ..we came back to our hotel dinner time and other than a ruitine 5 star ambience, a live performance was waiting for us...the whole atmosphere wad so Cool as we enjoyed our dinner with light live goa songs...that made our celebration the most memorable one...in the morning we enjoyed a lavish breakfast... Any one looking for a five star property to enjoy near baga beach...I think this one is the best... All the facilities like rent a Bike supermarket were few steps away and baga beach casino sukh Thai massage just 2-3 km away from our hotel..my brother in Law Has said that wenever he will visit goa next time this will b the only hotel in his mind...

Outstanding customer service! Each and every member of the hotel staff provided extraordinary service. The hotel is located at one of the nicer beaches, Calangute - Goa! The hotel is surrounded by variety of restaurants/cuisines for every type. Taxis are available outside the hotel gate and the drivers are extremely reliable. I would definitely recommend The Park at Calangute to anyone traveling to Goa and wants a 5-star hotel on the beach and shops and restaurants.

We had booked Alila Diwa Goa for our honeymoon & it was the best decision we could have taken to make our stay special and luxurious. We had opted fpr Standard Terrace Room. And we were treated with the most quite room with awesome view. Room was fully equipped with all amenities & toiletries. Highlight of the room was large bath tub & rain shower. The hotel staff welcomed us with cold napkins & kokam cold drink. Our room was well decorated for a honeymoon special and were surprised with fruit cake. Alila Diwa is well spread luxurious resort at 500 meters distance from Gonsua beach. Buggy rides are provided to the beach which has all water sports activities. Infinity pool was our favorite spot in yhe resort. Breakfast at the VIVO was very delicious & widely spread buffet. There were a lot of vegetarian & non vegetarian options available to tickle our taste buds. In hotel dining options are a bit expensive but there are a lot many cheaper options just after you step out of the resort. Fishka, The Camron being the best ones serving lip smacking sea food, Goan & Portuguese delicacies. Only turn down, is the distance from South Goa which takes a quite a while to travel to happening places like Calangute & Baga. Also, considering a 5 star property, Alila Diwa should provide complimentary airport pick up & drop transfers. Overall, an awesome experience & a luxurious stay at Alila Diwa.

We chose to end our India adventure here to unwind and refresh after exploring Mumbai , then north and south Goa. We spent 3 days here in luxury with a great pool , 24 hour cheap room service and huge bed, big TV and massive double roomed bathroom to wash away our travels so we went back home refreshed and revitalised. So glad we chose here to do it. If your wanting to explore here though it's not the best place as its a bit out of the way. But for us it was a perfect end to our holiday. the hotel is beautiful and a lovely view onto the river from the pool where you can watch kingfishers as the sun goes down . And if you love big bathrooms with their own sculpture conservatory on the end well you will love the bathrooms . Only thing I would change would be the food. It wasn't bad. Was good even, but after our travels it just wasn't very exciting . And I missed fresh watermelon and other juices which are abundant in Goa . Otherwise perfect .

Pros: amazing location, golf cart service available for roaming within the property, amazing swimming pool, nice restaurants with really good food choices, villas are huge and very luxurious, the staff is super friendly and makes you feel really special, so close to the beach. Must stay property for the ones looking for a relaxing holiday and fun at beach. Cons - quite far from the hustle bustle of Goa and thus not an ideal place for the people who love to shop and roam around, you must have your own vehicle as there are less or no cabs available. Hotel cab is quite expensive, no good eating joints outside the hotel, thus you end up staying inside the hotel only, the party atmosphere of Goa isn't what you experience in this property because it's more for relaxing and fun with your loved ones at the beach. For party animals, north Goa is the place to stay.

It has to be said, I initially booked my stay at another hotel but after one night, I felt uncomfortable and immediately booked the remaining days at W Goa. The comfort, kindness and quality service received from all the staff was great! One thing that stood out noticeably was the ever present friendly smile across everyone I interacted with from W Goa. There was nothing I was denied in terms of request and that goes far, especially when its 4am in the morning, you can’t sleep and all you want is a Bombay masala toasted sandwich!! So to all the W Goa team (security guards at the gate, welcome guards, front desk, bar staff, house keeping, waiters, chefs and anyone else whom I have missed! You made my stay evermore pleasant as a solo guest! Wonderful people. Thankyou and I will be back.

It is a great location to stay in Goa. The decor of the hotel is contemporary and classy. Yet when you compare to other hotels it looses out as there is no view in the hotel We drove down to Goa. The car was placed in their parking lot. In the morning we realised that there has been some liquid which has fallen on the car night long! Thus ruining the entire windshield glass. The manager was called and he said it was not the hotels fault as they take no responsibility of parking area. Though the parking belongs to the hotel! The bad attitude of the manager is a true dampner. We will never go back ever again !

Overall good stay at the hotel. Good location. About a 5min drive to baga beach. Room was huge. Housekeeping was not that good. Always forgot to replace towels and toiletries. However they where very quick and efficient in bringing it yo the room when i called. The breakfast is okay. When booking a room, request pool facing or city facing. Nothing spectacular about it. Taxi operators just outside hotel gates. Cost around RS1500 to airport. They also take you to tours. I would book again at this hotel when i visit Goa again.

The Goa Marriott has definitely earned it's 5 stars! Such attentive and genuine staff- I've travelled a lot and stayed at many different hotels and locations; and I can honestly say I was thoroughly impressed with the Goa Marriott! Beautiful rooms with an amazing view of the beach. Great breakfast- combo of international and Goan food. We stayed there for 4 nights and were not at all tired of the delicious food! We also hired a driver for 3 days- Prasad, who was truely great! He was attentive and friendly, as well as very knowledgable of where to go and what to do in the area. He recommended some really awesome places to eat as well as some gorgeous beaches that were not on the tourist list. Overall, it was one of the best trips I've had so far, and if I ever come back I will definitely stay at the Marriott!

In June 2015, my girlfriend and I stayed at Heritage by ourselves. We left Goa to join some friends and a week later came back to Goa and stayed at Heritage again with a group. This place is great! The food is amazing with tons of options for everyone to find something they like. If the food is too spicy/not spicy enough or you just haven't had a favorite dish yet at the resort, simply tell one of the staff and they are more than willing to accommodate to your needs; they made a dish just for our group simply after asking. The staff is amazing. All very professional and the resort has a huge team or workers. The grounds are kept immaculately with so many flowers and plant species that you will likely see new flowers blooming each morning of your stay. The pool is large and clean. The swim-up pool bar is a very nice feature as well. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. We stayed in the 500-series villas both stays and they all have a balcony with a nice view of the garden spaces behind the building. The beach is just a short and pleasant walk away and it was nice to find out you can check out the bikes free of charge. In short, there is nothing negative to say about Heritage. I would recommend anyone staying in Goa to go and check this place out. I recommend getting the all inclusive package as well; especially during monsoon season when most other shops/restaurants are closed. When traveling to areas that are SOOO different than anything else you have experienced it was nice having a place to go and trust what you ate and drank. Never any health complications during our stay!

We stayed 3 nights in O Resort and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. The hotel check in staff were extremely helpful and smiley. The room was out standing. Beautiful shower although the water runs inside the bathroom from the gap in glass door. There is alternatively nice bath tube available. Big comfortable bed, nice TV. It is located on the beach, but the pool is very small. They got a big garden space which makes the pool lost in the area. The decoration of the hotel, loby etc. was beauiful. Brekafast and restaurant staff were poor. If you are big Indian food lover, you will enjoy the breakfast but unfortunately there is not much option for western breakfast. The last day, hotel reception allowed us to check out and continue to use the hotel facilities during the day. If one day we decide to go to Goa again, we will definitely stay in O Resort again.

Hotel is very good. Hotel staff is also very co-operative. Facilities are very good. Breakfast is also very good. Only Taxi Service is not good. Specially when you are with family and you trust the hotel taxi driver most. But when he takes you to cruize or to see the dolphins he should select a good vendor. Unfortunately this experience was very bad. He gives priority of his choice (may be according to commission percentage). This was unfortunate.

As a family we have visited a lot of the hotels in and around Goa. This time around we settled on this picturesque looking villa. We were pleasantly surprised that the pics on the booking did not do the place justice. It was beautiful the ambience the people the hospitality was just lovely. No practiced smiles at a front desk or rehearsed pleasantries. It was a genuine warm welcome and service with a smile. it is a perfect getaway not far from party central where u can nurse a pleasant hangover the next morning at the pool. Surely will return

The space was clean and the view was beautiful. We had traveled from 3am in the morning and was exhausted when we reached. The person at the help desk said that we could go to sleep immediately after we arrived, and said he would keep the paperwork for the next day. The hotel is placed conveniently at thee edge of Goa and just next door to Mumbai. This is an excellent location for those who want to do the photographic, herpeto, birding, nature trails in Goa, Amboli, Sawantwadi and Ratnagiri. Just between these, you cover mountain, coast, plateau and shore. As the room was available when we arrived, they didn't charge us for the very early check in. I thought that was a very generous gesture. The only thing you may miss is a reliable network. And yes, keep the windows shut. The monkeys are very curious :)

We were a bit worried as it was our first visit to Goa. I, like many, read loads of reviews and the more I read the more confused I got. I have to say the Holiday Inn Resort Goa exceeded my expectations. As we went up the slightly winding drive way to the entrance of the hotel I knew straight a way that we had made the right choice. We were offered a drink as soon as we arrived and were told to take a seat and a lady came over and took our details and checked us in. We were given a quick brief of the hotel and then were shown to our room. We had a pool view with a partial sea view room. It was very spacious and had everything that one would need for their stay. A beautiful pool with plenty of sun loungers so no need for reserving loungers. The grounds are constantly being maintained. You can ask the staff for anything and nothing is too much trouble. The beach the hotel is on is beautiful and if you walk a bit further out it's very quiet and peaceful. They're are some beach vendors who are keen to sell to you. If you do decide to buy anything then remember to barter. I always halfed any price they gave me and eventually they accepted it. I was still probably paying over the odds but it was a bargain to me. The shacks have party nights and the one we had the most fun was at Sam's. We are already booking our next visit to the Holiday Inn...

The property is amazing. It’s a true 5 star beach resort. Anyone looking to get away from hustle of traffic and noise this is the place. It’s located right on the beach. Rooms are very spacious, swimming pool is awesome. They got few restaurants. The buffet breakfast doesn’t offer variety but still it’s sufficient. It’s a amazing place to relax and unwind. Just sit by the pool or walk to the beach. Must visit place.

Rooms neat clean,easy to find location away from the hustle bustle of the beaches of North Goa. Cleanliness was more than up to the mark. Food was awesome be it the local Goan food or the breakfast buffet which was nicely spread. Staff be it the manager the reception the kitchen staff the housekeeping were good and prompt in action.THE CHEF S.MEHTA was always there to answer any query your taste buds had.. Thank you THE PARK BAGA for making the stay wonderful...
