The majority of reviews on Agoda say that for a quick stay, this is the go-to hotel which provides a comfortable stay/service/access to get around town. My mother and I dreaded the almost unanimous "small bathroom" comment, but decided to forgo the fact and ended up booking our stay there anyway. Arriving in Milan, we immediately got into a taxi and asked to be taken to Hotel Galles (most taxi drivers know exactly where it is). Once we got to the hotel we were welcomed by friendly and efficient receptionists who have great command of English. I didn't have any problem understanding them and they spoke very clearly to us. We were then taken to our room. So, the bathroom thing is true: it is very small even by Asian standards. We were able to squeeze ourselves just fine and went about our business easily, but we would have loved it more if the bathroom was a little bit bigger. It is worth saying that when I was confused about which train to take to get from Milan to Paris, the hotel staff helpfully printed out a list of train schedules for me to choose from (and highlighted the most efficient routes). Anyhoo, in our experience, the hotel could use a few improvements, but we had a great time and would definitely return. Although, yes, Hotel Galles is probably best for a short / weekend getaway type of stay. Oh, don't forget there are a few bookstores and music stores down the road from the hotel on Corso Buenos Aires -- they have great selection of English books and Italian music/movies! And for Asians looking for a taste from "home", there's a great Korean restaurant on the corner of Corso Buenos Aires about a block from the hotel -- at the intersection where Zara is situated, with the hotel to your right, turn left. A few doors from there you'll find a great Korean BBQ dig which serves amazing Korean food! Anyway, good stuff! Godetevi il vostro soggiorno!

We never stayed in mandarin oriental Milan so we keep it out of selection. This property is only behind four Seasons Hotel and far better than bvlgari hotel( which offer best sweet tea in lobby ). Room is very clean but still too many dusts in air. Maybe carpet need wash instead vacuum due frequently use. Bar are full of complimentary drink and it helps. Shower is large and plenty water to give massage. Toiletries are high quality. Spa has large relaxing jet bed. Not as strong in ski resort but make you stay soaked longer to relax. Very roomy and equipped gym. The staff is a bit short of hands. They are polite and keep distances. Be warned for ladies with skirts. The lobby floor is reflective like a lake with clear still water.

My wife, my 9 month old son and I were traveling from Lake Como back to NYC with a pit stop in Milan on the way home. My business partner recommended this hotel and we booked the Family Room. My goodness it was the best hotel we have stayed in, in quite a long time so I would easily recommend it to anyone who stays in Milan. The room was huge, the staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable, the rooftop bar was stunning and the restaurant was fantastic. If we make our way back to Milan, I would not stay anywhere else. This hotel was the best thing that happned to us. First, service provided was amazing! Ludovica at the reception desk provided us with the best, five star welcome, check in and concierge information. I would note that she is amazing in her job and hotel should reward her for that. Another two receptionist were exceptional. Stephano and can't remember the other guy's name Gian-Luca at the restaurant is exceptional as well restaurant lady, Lordes. Hotel is older, renovated, extremely well kept, excellent location right on Metro station, five minute walk from beautiful park, 15 minute walk to Duomo, you can also rent a bike, Milano is very biking friendly city. There is a super market half block away and some shopping around, H&M, Guess, cafes.. Nice area. All in all, amazing prperty, and Ludivica was THE BEST of the best!! We stayed at the hotel for three nights and thought it was excellent. The staff were very helpful with advising the best places to go and the different routes we could take. The room was very modern and clean. It is very close to the metro which is only two stops from the Duomo and only a €10 taxi to the main restaurants and bars at night. We would highly recommend this hotel and wouldn't think twice about booking it again!!

One word: awesome. We stayed in the Yard Suite and Dependance in mid-July 2013 for 3 nights, after a trip to Switzerland where we had stayed in three different hotels (including a lovely one in St Moritz). The Yard Suite and Dependence experience was the best, bar none. Check-in was easy. We booked a suite, and was delightfully assigned to the JFK Suite on the 2nd floor. The suite is spacious, with a large living room, a walk-in closet and a balcony. We particularly like the black and white decor. The bed is huge and comfy. There are an expresso machine and a mini-bar (drinks, no snacks). Water is charged at 2,50 euro a bottle. WiFi is free, and worked perfectly fine throughout our stay. The bathroom is tastefully designed too, with a glass opening to the balcony. The toiletries are by CULTI, which are lovely. The towels are white and fluffy. Just perfect. Overall, from the public area to the suite we stayed, the hotel is clean and well maintained. And the breakfast! The choices are ample, and the food fresh and nicely prepared. Every morning there would be something different from the day before, which is a thoughtful touch for guests staying for more than one night. The Yard is not far from the metro station, but it will be easier to take the bus/tram (not sure; never used) number 3 from around the corner to Duomo. Alternatively a taxi ride to the Duomo area costs less than 10 euro. A big thank-you to the Yard. We enjoyed tremendously our stay, and will definitely be back when we are next in Milan.

Grand Visconti is an old fashion 4 star hotel. It has the traditional style of the old hotel with the heavy and glamorous furniture the thick carpets etc. It is very good organized despite the fact that I had to wait for half a hour in order to prepare - clean my room but that was no problem. What was quite irritate was the WIFI connection which was wick and it kept losing signal. I did not had time to check the spa and the other facilities but I have to say that being close to metro station was really nice and helpful since you can ride the sub and be at the San Siro stadium in 30-40 minutes !!!!

Though I had booked wrongly, instead of booking for a 2 pax in a room, my fingers were way too fast when I click only for 1 pax. To my relieved, the bed is of queen size and we need to top up only Euro 10 (for breakfast). Upon reaching hotel, which were much earlier than the check in time (we reach around 10am, normal check in time is 2 pm) - the front desk staff without hesitation helped to check with the housekeeping to check if there's any ready room avail and passed us the room key without additional charges. Complimentary Wifi were great as it helped us to keep in touch with family members in Singapore. It's thanks to the free wifi that I was able to receive the message of the passing of my late brother. Though we only managed to stay for 1 night, we would not hesitate to book Atlantic Quality Hotel for our next trip and would definitely recommend this hotel to others visiting Milan, Italy. The Buffett breakfast is a spread! They even have a complimentary beverage counter for hotel visitors; hence you need not go out of the hotel for hot beverage especially during winter. Last but not least, the location is just two minutes away from Central Station! Very convenient!

DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!! 2 MACBOOK PRO 15” + 1 IPAD PRO 12.9” WAS STOLEN DURING OUR STAY. During our stay when we going out and come back, our room was a mess, we found that we lost 2 macbook pro 15” and 1 ipad pro 12.9” total ~ 5600$. The manager Chiara call the police and promise will claim the insurance for us. But when we contact asking for the status, nothing respond to us. Until now we still not got any apologies from the hotel, still not get any refund of the hotel expense during our stay as apologies, nothing! Is all italian hotel work this way when customer get thing stolen? They dont need things call reputation? I am so disappointed with the way she work. I have been staying in this hotel in Milan for the past few years. The rooms are clean and decent, although small, comparing to other hotels nearby. Wifi connection is free and good. However the best thing about this hotel is the central location in Milan. It is minutes away by foot to the Duomo, shopping galleries and la scala theatre. There are also many nice restaurants in the galleria which is about 10 minutes walk away. For good restaurants, you can find paper moon along Via Bagutta or along the galleria area. I will recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Milan for the first time. Whether it’s for business or leisure.

The location is brilliant, just 200 yards to the milano centrale train and metro stations. Trains run every 30 mins to malpensa airport and the metro trains are every 5 mins and take you to anywhere you want in milan. Its so easy to use! The hotel staff were really friendly and made us feel really welcome. The lady behind the desk gave us a city map and circled all the best places to eat, drink, shop etc. And was really helpful! The hotel is very clean and very modern. The room was perfect with a safe, aircon and balcony overlooking the centrale station. You could hear a slight rumble of the metro until around midnight but it wasnt a problem and we both had a great night sleep. Breakfast was good but could have had a bit more variety in terms of hot food but the basics of bacon sausage and scrambled egg were really good! As well as your pain au chocolat and cereals etc. Overall we had a brilliant trip and the hotel was perfect for a couple looking to explore a new city! :)

residenzia calvino was a very nice hotel, situated just behind the cimitero monumentale (which is a fabulous place to visit, as it is like going to a free art gallery and museum of architecture and design at the same time). the staff behind the main desk were very helpful, giving me a map and directions to whatever i wanted to see/do. the lobby was very modern-looking and clean, with a couple of machines selling snacks and drinks (although there are at least 3 supermarkets within about a 10-minute walk of the hotel). and the flat was bigger than the one i live in currently! it was also modern in appearance, with all the conveniences one would need when spending a few days or weeks in milan (including a washing machine, plates, pots, hairdryer, wifi etc.). my only negative comment is that the hotel is a bit far from the heart of the city centre, taking a good 20-25 minutes to walk to station garibaldi to get a train or metro. however, the tram is only a 10-minute walk away, which gets you into the city centre in no time. in all, i would definitely recommend this hotel if you're staying in milan and want to get away from the touristic centre at night, after having spent the day in it with other tourists. and it's amazing value for money :)

We stay in this hotel for 3 nights. Overall experience is satisfy. They allow us to check-in at noon time. Because our flight arrive early in the morning. The location is perfect to explore Milan or travel to nearby city. There are restaurants, convenience store nearby. The room provide everything a good 3-stars hotel could be. We will stay here again if we come back to Milan.

Perfect location, just five minutes away from Central Station and subway station. Yet the neighbourhood is quiet enough and ensures good sleep at night. Breakfast is probably the best I've ever had in Italy (and I've been to Italy three times!) Wide variety of bread, hot food, fruits and drinks. Fast wifi connection. We could actually watch Youtube videos smoothly in the room without any buffering. Fast check-in and check-out. We arrived early in the morning and were thrilled to know that our room was already ready at such an early hour. We took a nap at the hotel after taking a 13-hour flight before we hit the town. Close to some high quality restaurants. We went to "Mamma rosa" for dinner which was about five minutes away from the hotel and the food there was just impeccable! Best meal we had in Italy!

I stayed in 4 hotels in Italy. And among the carefully chosen 4 (I spent 2 months on line looking for hotels...) Una Maison Mailano was the best! It is literally 1 minute walk away from the Duomo, yet the room was quiet. When I made the reservation, I told them the ETA at Malpensa Airport and that it was for our honeymoon trip. Upon check-in, they told us that they upgraded us to a junior suite and put in a little gift. When we got to the room, there was a bucket full of ice and a bottle of prosecco (Italian sparkling wine) on the table! The room was spacious, the closet and bathroom were perfect and so clean. Although the hotel size is small, it is even better than some 5 star hotels. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends! Even without the upgrade, the service still is better than expected from a 4 star hotel and I will go back there just for the impeccably clean bathroom and the wonderful cappuccino they serve (for free!) at the lobby in the morning.

If you are visiting Milan and would like to be in the best shopping place in Italy , then this hotel is just perfect. In less than 2 minutes walking you can be in Duomo. I stayed with my wife for 3 nights in room 141 which was far from the elevators. We visited Milan just for shopping as this period was in the winter sale period where you get 30 to 50 per cent off marked prices. So we were all day shopping for us and for our kids back home, and when we come back to hotel , we arrive very tired and just go to sleep. We really didn't test the hospitality of hotel Rosa but breakfast was very good with a good selection of food items. Two points I want to draw your attention to which worth knowing: 1) Internet is free in the lobby area and costs 6 Euros for 24 hours if you are using an iPad or similar tablet and costs 8 Euros if you are using a laptop. This is so cheap in Italy. 2) parking in the area is very expensive. The hotel charges you 50 Euros a night. But you can park in a nearby parking garage for 31 euros in 24 hrs. I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Milan for pleasure and needs to be in the Duomo area.

This small secluded hotel is just a stones throw from the main shopping/cafe street in Milan. Very little to no noise from the Main Street though. Only a few short minutes walk to the castle and the Duomo and a huge high-end shopping area. Avis/Budget car rental is within walking distance in case you need to rent a car. The visitors center is about 5 mins away and you can book tours to Como, walking tours of Milan (including seeing the Last Supper - book in advance!!!). The included breakfast is just enough to get your day going and the friendly (English speaking) staff will help with most anything. The rooms are recently renovated and very comfortable (awesome shower!). My wife and I will definitely stay here again.

Pros: location! Hotel was a good value, short walk to the Dumo Square, shopping, restaurants, the metro, city buses. Hotel has nice breakfast ( included in my booking), great staff, clean room., comfortable beds. Cons: room lacks electrical outlets near the beds to charge/use cell phones, laptops etc. WiFi a bit slow and drops out periodically. no free water bottles in room, bathroom has a tub/shower combo vs modern shower only ( rooms a bit dated, but clean and functional). Note: Uber is available in Milan, but I found to be unreliable in getting a ride in a timely manner. and the same as a taxi. Taxi’s take cash /euros only and are everywhere. Consider prebooking a ride from the train station or airport to get to your hotel if you are a first time traveler as cost will be about the same but more convenient.

We booked for the location alone, but were very pleased with the hotel in general. We had a young child and tickets for the night game, staying here allowed us to walk home within minutes. San Siro stadium is very well connected to the Metro but it is obviously very busy when 80,000 are leaving, this hotel allowed us to bypass that issue. The hotel is modern and fast in style, very business based. Great free internet connection is provided. There aren't an awful lot of amenities in the area; the Stadium, Ippodromo (Horse racing & equestrian) & the Golf course that dominate the area . There are a few bars round the corner at the Golf Club, beyond that you are looking at a bit of a walk to Fiera or De Angeli for bars & food. The breakfast was quite small & limited, we only went once. Rooms were a bit noisy, neither the walls or windows kept the noise out well. It didn't bother us too much but it's worth knowing. The area is generally quite outside events tho. Also no kettle or iron.

We book this hotel because it has good value for money and is situated 10km away from Milan central. We arrived late for check in but there were still a long queue. The receptionist did a good job to check us in within 5 minutes. Our room was clean, bright and adequately spaced out. The breakfast was great with good variety of bread, cereal and fruits..and the coffee was good too!. There is a wifi charge but otherwise, excellent value for a 1 night stay.

this hotel was the easiest to find amongst all the hotels we had stayed in italy, and is easily one of the best hotels during our 2 weeks vacation in italy. it is a 10 mins walk from the milano centrale stazione, and another 15 mins walk to the shopping district, corso buenas aires. we were greeted by alberto during check-in. we appreciated the fact that he congratulated us (noting the fact we were on our honeymoon). he tried to help us get tickets to the ac milan game that day (though it was a loss cause because it was too last-minute). others at the concierge were just as courteous and obliging. the breakfast was good. try the hot chocolate! room was chic, had most things we need during our stay. tv had more channels than others we have stayed in. overall pretty complete for a hotel.
