When we arrived at the hotel for late check-in, the front desk was obviously closed. But they emailed earlier the steps to be taken to get the card key by using a machine at the side of the hotel building. We got the key and went to the room but was horrified at the shoes, boots and mess in the room. It was an occupied room. We had to call them (the emergency number) and soon after they helped us in getting another key card from the machine. The time was about 11.00 pm...we were tired from the long journey and was not amused. The next day, the receptionist was apologetic enough and offered our family free 1 day breakfast. Initially, i booked this hotel because the RER Bagneux station was across the hotel. Great location, even though it is at zone 3, which was fine by me. Perhaps it was my fault not to check that Bagneux Station is closed for maintenance till 25.8.2019! The nearest RER station is Accruiel-Cachan which is about 10 minutes walk...not that bad. So we settled for that and reminded ourselves that we needed the exercise anyway. But then we realized that there were a handful of RER and metro stations around Paris that were under maintenance for the summer!! The hotel for me is spacious for the price although about 20 minutes journey by train to the city. If all the stations were working, it would be great to stay here. The hotel by itself is nice, the staffs are friendly and as a family travelling with kids, i would definitely return albeit these minor hiccups. Restaurants, fast food, groceries and shops are everywhere near the hotel. Perhaps our timing was off regarding the closed stations and also a massive construction opposite the hotel. Be mindful, there are no aircond in the room, so we use natural air although during the day you can literally hear the construction! But if you are out and about, then it is fine. We have stayed in Campanile hotels before but this is the first time we have stayed in one which, to me, was more of a motel. The accommodation is away from the main reception, restaurant etc and I don't why, but this 'threw' me on checking in. The room was adequate, shower looked new so very clean etc, kettle etc in room, so all you would expect, but it was quite dark at the back of the building and just a different experience. We paid lots less by booking through this site than the advertised rate and we paid extra for breakfast on the day. Food was lovely, lots of fresh fruit, fruit juices, good quality pastries, cookies etc, in a lovely restaurant, which seemed at odds to the room set up. Nothing not to recommend, just not the sort of experience we have had in Le Mans before.

Good price with a shower in the room too. It was a little tight but for the money, very good. We did note that the sheets did not look clean although we did not complain as did not notice until got into bed. There were dirty footprints all over the sheets at the foot of the bed which I think may have been put at the end so that it would not notice. It wasn't that the sheets were dirty just very badly stained and gave an impression of unclean. It smelt clean. Room was very noisy being on the motorway side of the hotel. It was as if the doors did not fit properly - although they did seem to be ok. Breakfast was extra and adequate - no croissants or cold milk for the cornflakes. We were given 15% discount to eat at the very near by Campanile restaurant and hotel. The food was enough and price good and especially good with the discount. I would use it again as overall not bad.

I had the pleasure staying here for 2 nights and will definitely stay again when in Nantes. The only staff I met were on the reception and they were friendly and helpful. The room was perfect, a couple of small niggles such as frayed towel & the hanger on back of bathroom door unusable as it was hanging off but everything else was good. Bed was clean and comfortable, small kitchen area as described on their writeup. Easy walking distance from train station, variety of bars and restaurants near by plus a supermarket round the corner. Was also easy to walk in to the centre of Nantes. Would not hesitate to recommend the place and I found Agoda had the best prices for my stay.

A comfortable stay and a great option if attending an event at the nearby La Cité des Congrès de Nantes (10 minutes walk). The hotel isn't quite as good as it looks in the photos, but it's comfortable. Minor complaints from my stay include blown light globes in my room that hadn't been replaced, coffee/tea supplies weren't restocked during my 9 day stay, no bowls in the kitchenette, and no shelf in the shower. Bed was super comfortable, breakfast good.

This a little gem. A small boutique hotel constructed within an old church to the highest of standards. We particularly wanted a room with a round stained glass window and our request was granted. Although a little on the small side our rom was extremely pretty, clean and beautifully appointed. It was very modern and provided everything we needed. We were most impressed with the receptionist who greeted us and took us to our room. She was extremely helpful in explaining to us the local places to visit and how to get to them. Our breakfast was very well displayed and had a variety of pastries, cereals, cold meats, fruits, dried fruits and hot food. The breakfast room was very modern, clean and innovative in design - as was the reception area. We paid 10 euros a night to reserve our parking space. As we were there in the mid April quiet season there were plenty of places available. I would recommend reserving a parking place in high season.

Finding the chateau was surprisingly difficult, largely due in the end to a Route Barre on the road we needed to take. Fancois, the owner, was a fabulous host but we rather unwisely upgraded ourselves to a "Luxe" room and ended up paying rather a steep supplement over the "Garden Room" we originally booked. All extras including meals are quite expensive but the experience of chateau life on such a huge estate (we had it entirely to ourselves on two nights!) certainly made for a memorable holiday.

Very small and dark room. Good noise insulation when the window is closed, but then the room gets really stuffy. Tiny bathroom but clean, and good to have it ensuite. Smell of sewage from the drains. common area closes at 9pm, which is a shame if you want to spend some time awake beofre going back to your small room. It’s ok if you just want a cheap bed for the night not far away from Nantes.

We stayed at a 4 person apartment although it felt slightly cramped. The bathrooms are very clean. The kitchen is well equipped with plates, cups, a pop-up toaster, electric kettle, plate rack, induction cooker, a small fridge, knives etc. There was a double bed and a divan, of which the bottom part is drawn out to make another bed. One can order breakfast at 9EUR pp. If you book 2 adjoining rooms they can be merged by opening the 2 doors in between the apartments.

The room was clean and tidy and overlooked the pool. The bathroom was nice and stylish but the wall that joins the bedroom is opaque glass but is still quite see through so make sure the person you're sharing with is a very good friend! The only downside to the stay was that, on checking out, although we had paid online when booking we were asked to pay, we explained that it was all paid but the receptionist was adamant it wasn't, luckily we had the confirmation email. We didn't receive an apology!!
