The Bamboo Retreat is a lovely hotel, which has been well maintained, freshly painted, with a different colour scheme and plant theme for each room, and beautiful gardens. Hotel Valley View is a decent hotel peacefully located down the road in lower Pelling. The owner, cook and other staff boys are ever smiling, excellent and made our stay comfortable. The property is clean, rooms are good, bathroom has 24 hour hot water and are clean. Overall, the property is maintained nicely. And yes, we saw the Kanchenjungha from our window.
