San Diego City Center hotels & accommodations
I had booked the Corner King room for the view. Definitely was not disappointed. Stayed there for one night only as San Diego was a spontaneous trip decided the day before and booked the room the day of. The hotel reminds me of a Vegas hotel. Very grand. It's off the ocean/bay so it's not close to the gaslamp district; that's where Lyft comes in handy. Do not take the ...
Stayed one night in San Diego and found this hotel in a series of sights. Nice and friendly staff. No hassle checking in or out. Great for a small vacation or a longer stay. Best of all, close to most major tourist locations.
We only stayed one night in San Diego but we had a great time because of the good choice for hotel. It is beautifully located and is close to convention center, rail transit, 2-min drive to Coronado island, 5 min walk to gas lamp area. We walked to gas lamp and found lots of nice restaurants, bars and shops spread in several blocks in gas lamp area. Guess it will b...
Valet parking and great location to see all of downtown San Diego. Access to the I-5 allows you to travel up and down the coast and see more sites. There isn't a full size pool but they have a spa pool which I was unaware of until the day before I left. The doors to the rooms open up into an inner courtyard. I was expecting a Marriott or Hilton type hotel with hallways...
The staff make you feel like family. They go above and beyond to make your stay in San Diego the best possible. When you call the front desk they respond by answering with; Hello this is xxx, I can help you with anything. And they do! Late night extra water? Done. Extra towels? Done. Refill of what you were missing at breakfast time? Done. Big shout out to Keith and ...
Was able to catch a great deal on this hotel near the heart of downtown San Diego/Gas lamp quarter compared to nearby hotels outside the area. Proximity to Amtrak station, stores, restaurants was excellent. Also the area felt where hotel located felt safe and fairly quite as it's on the edge of gaslamp where many of the tourist and party goers attend. Rooms was a bi...
The location of hotel is at the historic heart of San Diego. Closing to Convention Center, Petco Park Stadium and lots of other landmarks. The working staff were very nice and friendly. The breakfast included in room fee is good, but not so many choices of food. The room is clean and comfortable. However, the facilities are a little bit out of date. The air conditioner...
I arrived late called hotel for a pick up, I had my priceline confirmation, but the guy at the front desk couldn't find it and I asked if they could pick me up and I could wait there for them to contact priceline for the info and he refused. So I had to deal with being alone in a strange city with possibly no where to stay. He was very rude and I will never stay there ...
One of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. By far the worst Hilton experience we have ever had. We had to pay to park. The heater emitted cold air. No mirror on the desk (make-up for the lady), no CNN in the room and we had to pay for Internet AND PAY FOR A REFRIGERATOR. Upon voicing my opinions on the matter the general manager offered us a complimentar...
I greatly enjoyed my stay at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter. Check in was awesome and quick. Parking is valet and a little pricey ($39 per night) but I expected it at least it includes in & out privileges. Perfect location, not totally in the center of the Gaslamp Quarter so it's still quiet but only a short walk away. Small pool, but we are sooo close o the beach why sett...
I always love staying at this hotel when I'm in San Diego for a business conference once a year in August!! The breakfast is wonderful, staff friendly and willing to serve you! Thank you!
We stayed here for 4 nights and had a wonderful time here since it was close to everything - trolley stations, bay and restaurants. Breakfast was good with sufficient variety. Hotel staff was great and very helpful. The bedroom was big and had a balcony - only trouble was the noise from the trains when they horned but the train noise could be heard miles away from the ...
Since all the high end conference hotels were booked, we were glad to find room at this small inn located about 20-30 minutes walk north of the waterfront convention area. The room and bath were very clean with comfortable linens. Staff were very accommodating, offering a free daily pass for 2 of us to a downtown fitness center within walking distance. Although the ...
Friendly staff, great dining and entertainment. Close to shopping mall, Seaport Village, and several other historical landmarks. A great hotel for family.
While we loved the location and feel of the hotel, we were traveling with teenagers and would have loved to have a “family suite” with multiple rooms. This seems to be rare, but would definitely be a hot seller for families.
it was a great moments to stay in this hotel.it is recommended for whom want to discover san diago,
This is a nice hotel where I live in San Diego. The hotel locates on near downtown and I can go to San Diego Zoo on walk. So this is a nice hotel for me.
The whole package was more than wonderful. Our room, it was actually a studio condo, was the ticket to a perfect week of conference going. I could cook if I wanted to, have fresh coffee anytime. It was just a great room. AND, the staff and valet's were the friendliest and helpful people I have ever come across. I would definitely stay here again.
i was in san diego for a conference at the convention center earlier this month, and all the conference-recommended hotels were very expensive or booked. luckily, i found this hotel, and i couldn't have been more pleased! it's just 1/2 mile from the convention center (closer than some of the other conference hotels), 2 blocks from petco park, and a few blocks more from...
The heated pool & hot tub are on the 3rd floor outside which is great for the temperate San Diego climate. Nice rooms and staff, convenient having a bar & restaurant in the hotel as well.
I had reservations for 12 noon. Didn’t get my room til about 2 pm. The valet people were more than helpful. The desk people were ok. The hotel is in good location clean and comfortable. I didn’t like it that they allow dogs though.
Gern wieder in San Diego
Bayside was a great location to walk to the Pier or to Little Italy. Our 1 bedroom room with a sofa sleeper and kitchen had so much space for 3 people. Lots of counter space. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choices, including waffles; the fruit was always fresh and ripe! Loved the coffee and water available in the lobby as well as in the kitchen. Afternoon coo...
Chris and I travel a lot, and while we may regularly say that we should write reviews, in reality we don’t often do it. On this occasion however, it’s an absolute priority for us that we take the opportunity to thank the team here for a truly wonderful experience. I had pre-arranged with the hotel for some amenities to be in the room (birthday surprise) and they were ...
Great location. Clean hotel. Beds are firm though, got backaches in the morning. Will visit again but will ask for mattress topper
I normally dont do reviews but I really enjoyed my stay. The location of the hotel is the key. It is at the heart of downtown. Near Gaslamp area. Staff was very friendly. I did not had any personal convenience, so I was looking for hotel like that which is in close proximity to major attractions Only bad part was the wifi connection.
The Declan Is now Pulse by Marriott... no longer declan so it made me a but confused at first i thought there were two hotels on the same property... but come to find out the place had been changed... there are a few nice upgrades in the room including the microwave and mini fridge in the rooms as well as a nice restroom area in the pool section. Be super comfy, location is perfect right by 2nd street, great service and very clean! I will comeback
The stay was good. We did not expect too much from the reviews before we checked inn so as expected, it is a typical motel but staffs are friendly. Very accessible to tourist attractions.
The rooms are modern and stylish but most importantly clean! The staff is always smiling, helpful and doing their best to take care of their guests! The location is convenient as you are at the heart of San Diego downtown! I would highly recommend it!
Cheap places to stay in San Diego City Center
Thin wall, slow wifi, good location in about 20min walking to downtown. Room is nothing fancy but is just ok.
Close to center, Close to hight way. Mcdonald near the hotel. Breakfast is simple but I am satisfied with it. It worthes the price I think.

Location was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see while in San Diego. would recommend they have coffee available in the mornings though. We had to walk 3 doors down to get the small breakfast, and there was only one pot for two hotels worth of patrons.

It was honestly ridiculous for parking to cost $20 per night. This was not listed on your website and I had to pay for 2 different cars since I was in town for a wedding and needed to get around separate from my husband. I also did not appreciate that your website said “book now and pay later” even though it took the money out immediately. I won’t be using this website...

Centrally located and very nice hotel. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. We loved to stay there. The only thing we want to comment on is the noise from outside due to bad insulation of the windows. This should be improved.
This is a nice hotel where I live in San Diego. The hotel locates on near downtown and I can go to San Diego Zoo on walk. So this is a nice hotel for me.
Beautiful old hotel. It has had some major reno’s. Basic rooms, ok size, queen bed with small square pillows. But nice ensite, AC, nice decor. Love the decor around the hotel. The whiskey bar, Dinning rooms have amazing decor. The staff are friendly, chatty, room made every day. Located in a quite one way street. But so many restaurants just a minute walk away. Tip, g...

The Wyndham Bayside is in a great location, right along the waterfront in Downtown San Diego. I loved that we could walk or take a scooter to some of the best places in downtown.
