Have stayed here previously and it is now my preferred hotel in Yokohama. Easy transfer by bus from Haneda airport and minutes from Shinkansen make it an ideal base for travel. Staff are amazing and allowed us to check in well before normal check in time. We even had a view of Mt Fuji from our room. Beds are super comfortable and room size is better than average. Aircon was set to heat only but windows could be opened to cool room if required and it was a very comfortable stay.
1. Staff are very accommodating. They did their best to assist me even though I don't speak Japanese. 2. The room was relatively clean. The offered basic amenities and even a sleeping gown. 3. The room was quite warm even though the air conditioning was not turned on and even though the weather outside was cool. I tried to turn on the cooling function of the air conditioner but you could only set it to heating. I had to open the window to let the room cool down. However, this made the noise from the street be heard loudly from the room. 4. The room does not have a refrigerator. I bought some food to eat for breakfast (since the hotel has a very small cafe and was quite full the day I checked in). Unfortunately, there was no way for me to keep my food cold overnight. 5. Free Wifi is good and relatively fast. I was able to do some work and stream a couple of shows without any lag.
I stayed here because there was a live concert at Yokohama Arena, and it's a perfect distance from both Shin-Yokohama Station and Yokohama Arena. There are plenty of convenience stores around! With 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, Lawson, and NEWDAYS, you can shop at your preferred convenience store, haha. The hotel itself feels a bit old in some areas, like the room doors, but as others have mentioned in their reviews, it was clean and well-maintained. The staff was also very friendly, making for a pleasant stay. There was an extension cord provided, so I had no trouble charging my smartphone. Breakfast can be chosen from a set menu at Doutor on the first floor. Rather than a typical buffet, I thought this option might be just the right amount for breakfast, haha.
Our family had a pleasant stay. Before the trip, they promptly answered all our inquiries. Everything went well and smoothly from check in to check out. The room was spacious. We had enough space to move even if we had our luggage. It was very nice stay and convenient. Very near train station, a lot of convenient stores.

“Fair Value for Money”
Chose this place because the venue I need to go to is nearby, and it is very cheap, especially when compared to Tokyo. The place itself feels old, like a refurbished old apartment complex. Limited ways to control room temperature. The air conditioning only has a knob, with 4 setting from off to high. When I turned it on, it released heat. Luckily It was winter. However it does get hot, or at least not that comfortable to sleep in. The only way to get cold air in is by opening the window. Yes, you can open the window. However the sound of traffic gets in. Also, the walls are relatively thin, by which sound gets through easily. Key to the room is literally a physical, metal key, not card. People can get in to the hotel easily, because of it. The hotel is really close to Shin Yokohama Station, and with it plenty of restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores to choose from. In fact Dotour Coffee is at the Lobby (2025). It is about less than an hour to Tokyo area, but at least you need only one ride to Shibuya or Shinjuku. Tourist spots at Yokohama bay area is just about 15 minutes by train. Overall it is relatively great value for money, but if you need to consider again if you value your sleep more.
