I booked this hotel for my husbands 30th birthday vacation trip to San Diego. It was one of the best decisions I made. The staff alone made this stay incredible. So big shout outs to Allen, Hope and Debra! Thank you for everything! They were kind, attentive and gave great advice on restaurants and adventures. The room was also great. We stayed in the king suite. Comfy beds and comforters. Extremely clean. I love that you get little things with your stay as well like free water, cookies, and even bikes to roam around in the city . Overall amazing experience. Would definitely recommend or stay again myself!

This was my first time staying with this hotel chain and my best friend and I are planning to return for another stay next year same time. We stayed in the King Suite which had the most comfortable sleep sofa with a thick mattress. The King bed was amazing, high & soft. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The hotel is in close walking distance to a lot of attractions. We walked to the pier for our dinner cruise. We will definitely stay here again! Planning on staying at another location in Seattle, and the pineapple cookies are delicious!

Hotel is located in a good location near a lot of restaurants and in nice weather you can take a walk to Seaport Village. Staff is super friendly and helpful and always with a smile. Greatly appreciate we were able to check in earlier than expected. The bed is just heavenly. Honestly for the price we paid for the rooms, we couldn’t ask for more. I have stayed at Staypineapple San Fran and after this stay, will definitely consider the staypineapple brand for other locations.

I’ll leave you with the smallest detail that I think represents how Hotel Z thinks about hospitality: unlimited water bottles, included in your stay. Wow, a hotel not nickel and diming me for a basic human need. I was so content my whole stay- it really felt like they asked themselves “what do people actually want from their hotel” and they nailed it.

Very nice cozy hotel. Great location, very good staff. Attentive to all requests. I didn’t like the fact that they clean only every other day. The room was quite dark but extremely comfortable bed. Overall, I do recommend.

Adorable Hotel with amazing staff and location ”
The staff make you feel like family. They go above and beyond to make your stay in San Diego the best possible. When you call the front desk they respond by answering with; Hello this is xxx, I can help you with anything. And they do! Late night extra water? Done. Extra towels? Done. Refill of what you were missing at breakfast time? Done. Big shout out to Keith and Marianela who really did everything they could for me and my colleagues! You should go visit them, I hope to really soon. The hotel itself is also lovely with beautifully decorated doors and pineapple details everywhere. It is walking distance to any Gaslamp destination and the convention centre. They have a shuttle service to take you around downtown if you don’t want to walk though. This team has thought of everything! The accommodations are amazing, but it’s really the people who made all the difference! We switched hotels during our stay, we were there on business and were sad to leave. I would 100% recommend!

First stay with the StayPineapple group and we were thoroughly impressed. Location was excellent, the hotel was clean, provided complimentary bike hire but the naked experience.. OMG this was by far the standout! We had the best sleep during our short stay in San Diego - still tempted to buy their full bedding set!

Stayed here with my sister as she was visiting from back east. We had never been to San Diego before so we were a little nervous about everything but this hotel made everything so much better. The theme and decor is very well put and the staff is beyond helpful, friendly, and informative about anything you could ever need during your stay/the area. I didn’t have any pets with me but I loved how they were pet friendly but it didn’t make the place seem dirty or unkept. The rooms were spotless and the view was great and the price wasn’t bad at all! Made our stay 10x more enjoyable.

First Impression of California”
We were a little worried as there appeared to be a mentally ill man raging in front of the hotel in the middle of the afternoon while we were attempting to check in, but we quickly learned this is not that unusual for San Diego. The staff was wonderful and had our room ready early which was such a blessing after a long flight. The hotel is great and the bikes are super fun to cruise around on. Breakfast is great and healthy. Wish there was a place to sit outside.

San Diego like other major cities does have a homeless population. It unfortunately effects many veterans, people with mental disabilities like you mentioned, and families that have been priced out from lack of affordable housing. We're also lucky in San Diego in that our local government is very involved in the rehabilitation process and offers many services for people affected by homelessness. It seems like from your review you came away from the experience with the same thoughts as the thousands of other guests who visit us and San Diego - they loved their time here! Best decision to stay here”
After a bad Airbnb situation a week before my wedding (don’t ever let an Airbnb charge you more than the app!) I was at a loss for where to stay in the city. I decided on Hotel Z and couldn’t have been happier. The staff was great, the location is even better. A big win for me, I’ll definitely stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a nice place without breaking the bank!

Amazing staff, clean hotel, perfect location”
Our expectations for all other hotels have been raised! So happy that we found this hotel. Very clean. Every staff member was very polite and helpful. Requests for extra bedding for the hide-a-bed was very quick (<5 minutes). The amenities in the room were well appreciated from the numerous USB outlets, the mini-fridge and microwave, complimentary bottled water and not to forget the so comfortable beds including the hide-a-bed! The hotel is within walking distance to the convention center and is right in the Gaslamp downtown area. It is also only a 20 minute walk to Little Italy for a change of pace. Short walk to bus or tram. Free bikes are also available with a bike path right outside the door of the hotel! There is a complimentary breakfast with takeout containers to bring back to the room as well as afternoon mini-cupcakes to tide you over until dinner. Will definitely recommend to my family and friends and would stay here again without hesitation.

Exceptionally Clean, Modern Decor”
Clean, high speed Internet, basic amenities. Comfortable room, but compact. Healthy breakfast choices at the included continental breakfast, although meat eaters might be disappointed. The location was fantastic, in the heart of the gas lamp district and an easy walk to the convention center. Staff were friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Clean and with it's own style. Decent breakfast wäbut with a strange pricing model (some kind of hotel fee that is mandatory and includes breakfast). Small breakfast area so better to bring the food to your room :) Staff was wonderful and there were some extra stuff I didn't have time to explore like free shuttle into town, bikes and afternoon dessert :)
