    “A truly satisfying day.”

I felt like I really rested comfortably. The open-air bath in the large public bath was truly fantastic. I don't know if it was because it was a weekday, but it was so quiet and relaxed. The meal preparation was very delicate, and the staff's service and attitude were excellent. They even prepared the bedding for us, which was wonderful, and the bedding was very cozy and comfortable. I felt well taken care of right up until the moment I checked out. However, given the location, I recommend moving around by rental car if possible.

“It was nice to rest quietly.”

The way from Hakone Yumoto Station to the ryokan was not easy, but it is about a 5-minute walk after getting off the H2 bus in front of the Hakone Hotel. The room has a private bath, making it very private, and the kaiseki was excellent.

    “Best in all of Hakone”

We had a wonderful time! Staff were so attentive from the moment you walk up the big mossy stones to waving you goodbye and ensuring you have transportation to your next stop. The food was so delicious, the garden was beautiful to walk, and the baths were serene. We are already talking about coming back here again :)

“It's a place I want to visit again.”

It was nice to be close to Hakone-machi, the staff were very friendly, and both the hot spring and the dinner and breakfast were all good. For those using the bus, please get off at Hakone-machi, not Moto-Hakone.

“So glad to have booked this!”

This was my first stay at a ryokan so I don’t have the experience comparing to another, but the staff was so welcoming and kind! The location is walking distance from one of the pirate ship stops at Hakonemachi, so very convenient if you end up doing the Hakone counter clockwise tourist loop. Food was well prepared and beautifully presented. I was also the only person using the onsen - so not crowded on a Sunday. Very happy with my stay!
