Umaid Haveli is a nice property situated away from the crowded streets especially if you are looking for a calm neighborhood. I would list down pros a cons which might help you in deciding your stay here Pros: 1. Rooms are spacious and clean. 2 swimming pools(with one on rooftop). However there are no Separate pools for kids here and also no life guards. 3. Parking right outside the property. 4. Places like Amber fort, Jal Mahal, City Palace- all tourist attractions within 10-15 KM's. Cons: 1. Staff seems to be not enough trained to interact with guests. They do not interact/greet you at all unless you ask them for something. I wil say they are poorly trained and I do not see as their fault. 2. Outside this property if you want to dine then there are not much good options so if you are person to dine out and try some good quality food with family then not much around. 3. Food(breakfast as I had chosen this in my package) could have been lot better. Breakfast spread does not match with the vibe of the property. 4. Another one related to food is that they only serve Halal meat(Islamic way of slaughtering) so if you do not prefer Halal then this is not a place for you. I personally feel that while as they cater to Halal they should also have non Halal options especially when you are showcasing heritage and Rajputana history all around. Catering to masses is okay but we should not move far away from our roots.
