    “Worst camping ever”

    The owner, Kenny, coerced money frm me up nd above the booking amount on the pretext of stay confirmation. Upon complaint, he blatantly lied nd said the same was taken fr bonfire. He also didn't provide any breakfast on the morning of ur departure. His staff, Bob, was good. The riverbank is very picturesque. I will suggest anyone to book any other campsite but this one on the same place (Shnongpdeng) since there r many such campsites wd bttr management. Othr campsites provide actual bonfire nd not the imaginary one as well.

    “No help from owner in crisis.”

    The camp is located at the riverside as expected. However, there is minimal toilet and other facilities available apart from a basic rent. You would receive two pillows and blankets. On the ground there would be two layers of foam that you have to sleep on. These foams leave resins and get stuck to bare skin. The problems start of it is raining. The foams would start to soak water from sides leading to wet bed to sleep on. Also you cannot leave any part of tent open for ventilation when it is raining or the water will get inside. So we went to bed at 9:30 PM but had to constantly keep opening and closing a part of tent in order to stop water from getting inside the tent and allowing some ventilation. Another problem is with noisy neighbours around the tent. Most of the neighbours would be smoking, playing music at high volume and shooting at night, thus making it difficult to sleep. Also the owner/host has disappeared and was nowhere to be found, forget taking any step to stop them. Also there would be tents of other hosts near you so you can do minimal about any of these issues. Crisis: The river flooded the very night we were camping. Fortunate for us that a few locals came to us and informed about it and we escaped in time. However, the host was nowhere to be found and there definitely was no other temporary accommodation provided to us so we had to spend the night in our car. Given these I would recommend that you refrain from booking tents at East side of the river. I talked to the owner of other side tents which were placed at higher ground, had proper toilets and also sober and breakfast are provided. I would recommend you to book with them.
