Right at the entrance of the footpath to the Toyonokuni Shrine, the bus stop is at the corner. Every meal prepared by the landlord is delicious. Taking a shower can be a bit cold in winter.
I arrived at around 1:30 PM, first dropping off the heavy luggage at the hotel front desk, then started walking to the shrine, which was about a 5-minute walk after getting off the bus. I promised to come back for dinner in the evening. The bathroom was really small, with only one faucet that was relatively normal, but the toilet was quite clean. The room had a Japanese kotatsu, and it was very warm inside during the cold winter, providing a very traditional Japanese inn experience, which was quite nice. I wouldn't recommend it for those seeking a star-rated hotel.
The staff were very good. Their response when the car became stuck in the snow was excellent. The accommodation was also clean and comfortable.
This establishment is delightful and very traditional, so arrive knowing that the bed is firm and the food is predominantly fish.

I was thrilled to stay in a thatched roof house at a lodge near Chusha. It was nice to drive there, but walking to Okusha and Hokoji was refreshing and enjoyable. Well, it was a bit hot this year, though.
